"Reliable Market Data and Excellent Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I love the data analytics feature in Payfactors because it offers an abundance of reporting which saves me time. The product’s reliable market data is essential for our work, ensuring that we have access to trusted information. Additionally, the job description management tools provided by Payfactors, including a centralized library and workflow tools, have significantly improved our team collaboration. I also appreciate the outstanding customer service from our support team, which enhances our overall experience with the software. Furthermore, the initial setup of Payfactors was very easy, largely thanks to the assistance from our representative Michalea. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Right now, the limited AI integration. It would be nice to have more AI features, especially an MCP server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive System with Helpful Chatbot Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I love using Payfactors for its intuitive system design, which makes navigating and utilizing its features straightforward and simple. I'm particularly excited about Payge, the new chatbot, which provides step-by-step instructions to help me utilize features within Payfactors that I might not be fully exploiting. I appreciate having a single place with numerous resources that keeps our information well-organized. Additionally, the initial setup of Payfactors was remarkably easy, which made the transition seamless. Moreover, the experience with our account representative, Dana Faulkner, has been outstanding, further enhancing our satisfaction with the product. Our Rep Dana Faulkner is amazing she reaches out and meets with us regularly and always has something new and exciting to share and goes the extra mile to be sure we are using Payfactors and all it features. What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I dislike that our market benchmarking cycle does not correspond with Payfactors' cycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Tool, Needs More Data for Manufacturing Jobs"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I find the Payfactors interface useful and pretty intuitive. I like that I can do a quick project or a bigger project; I don't have to embark on something big when I just need a quick answer. The initial setup was totally easy, which I appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

The job mixing/matching is just a guess. I use ChatGPT to get a better answer, as it's not me deciding what's close, it's a bigger sample. Just having more jobs in the database would help - I work in manufacturing, and there are hundreds, if not thousands of truss plants all over the US. It's surprising that truss builder, or truss crane operator are not in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Payfactors: Insightful but Challenging Setup"
3/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I find Payfactors particularly valuable as it provides clear insight into how we should be structuring our employee compensation across the organization. This platform excels in giving me a comprehensive view of pay evaluation, which is crucial for managing pay equity and ensuring competitive compensation packages. I also appreciate how the consulting services at the start were instrumental in setting up the majority of our job evaluations, enabling us to accurately price jobs and stay competitive in various markets. Moreover, the feature that allows us to link and compare jobs across different cities is exceptionally useful, as it simplifies accessing comparative data and enhances decision-making in salary structures with just the push of a button. Over time, I've also noticed an improvement in the availability of comparative data through Payfactors, which significantly boosts its utility from a pay quality perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I find setting up Payfactors very difficult, especially without a strong background in compensation. It took a significant amount of time to get up to speed and train my team. Although the online training is helpful, it's high-level and not very time-efficient for leaders. A more in-depth classroom style training would be beneficial. Additionally, I'm disappointed by the lack of integration with other software, such as UKG, despite having an API. This integration defect limits the seamless flow of data. Also, from a macro perspective, the platform doesn't offer as much long-term strategic value as anticipated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful Data, Needs UI Enhancement"
3/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I appreciate the robust data Payfactors provides for the hospitality industry, which significantly surpasses what I experienced with Radford, making it a key reason for my transition to this tool. I find the system’s ability to offer peer and HR market data essential for ensuring competitive compensation within our salary benchmarks, enhancing our human resource processes efficiently. The competitive pricing of Payfactors against other salary benchmarking tools is another strong point that creates great value for money. Moreover, I find the user interface to be quite manageable, making it relatively straightforward to navigate and use for my tasks. The ADP API integration works excellently, adding to the seamless functionality. Additionally, I find the specific features such as hospitality peer benchmarking data, compare ratio, and salary structure build-out incredibly useful for our compensation planning and management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I feel that the user interface needs improvement. It could be more intuitive and easier to use. Additionally, I have concerns with how reportable data is managed; I believe it could benefit from moving away from Tableau for better efficiency and user-friendliness. It's important that better subscription options are available to offer more comprehensive data. I also think the pricing could be lower to make the tool more accessible. "Excellent Job Pricing Tool with Outstanding Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I started at my organization shortly after the implementation of Payfactors, so I cannot speak on that. I mainly use Payfactors to price new jobs that we are creating within our organization which has been pretty easy. If I am confused on something, I consult the Payscale Collective which has been very helpful! The customer support is also worth mentioning! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I think the hardest part about using Payfactors is finding which job matches most closely to the description of the job at my organization. I think if I were able to enter key words within the description to narrow down the search, that would be extremely helpful! Alternatively, if there were an AI tool that could take my job description and find the closest match, that would be awesome! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cuts Job Matching Time in Half—A Game-Changer!"
5/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

I like that they are a great plat form that has cut the time of matching jobs in half as we had to match 600 jobs during integration. Great customer service when we implementing the program as a non platform user the agents very helpful and quick to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

the layout is easy but its overwhelming to get use to it when you've never used the platform before. there are a lot of things to look at in the main page. I know we can tailor but its still a lot as a first time user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Payfactors keeps our compensation plan consistent and manageable"
5/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

Payfactors has consistently provided us with solutions to challenges we face in the compensation space. The team is easy to work with, and always available to get on a call and help us navigate the best ways that the platform can assist us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Payfactors)?

Payfactors is committed to keeping the platform updated, and new features available for use. There is a lot of great communication around these features, but sometimes it can be difficult to keep up with the new features as they roll out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
