We value some of their app and tracking features because there's some ease of use there. Additionally, their general payroll and HR modules provide some benefit. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** It's challenging. It was really challenging. I think we got okay support, but it was actually a very challenging setup to really figure out how to use. I think in general, they're just not a super robust solution and they're not very innovative. And that really comes into play with some of their support when there's issue management and just takes a very long time. It feels like a lower end product kinda you get what you pay for. And that's, to start me, I think past that, we would just hope to see a more rich feature set evolving with where they're it seems like they've stagnated some. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paycor helps us with payroll, learning management, HR needs, benefits, forms, and approvals. I also like that Paystub is accessible from the top bar and that the widget tells you how many days until your next pay date, since that is usually difficult to keep track of. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** I wish there was an easy way to see the management hierarchy or your other team members. For example, UI-wise, it could be displayed as a branched tree diagram with titles of every worker. As of right now, I cannot find who is part of my team. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paycor is benefiting the clinic because it is an easy way for employees to view clock-in/outs and request missed punches if they make a mistake during the day. It is also a good way to submit time off requests, since no emails need to be sent or be kept track of. Being able to readily access W2 forms and previous pay stubs are also extremely helpful for employees when they need certain documentation. ### 3. I love being able to get to know people at the company, so seeing when they have a birthday or are celebrating years at the company is always really fun. I think this kind of thing builds employee engagement and team building, especially in a large organization like the one I work at, which has 17 schools. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** I do think the site is a bit clunky. The app is definitely clunky. The way everything is stacked, even on the desktop and laptop version, makes it hard to configure things the way I want. Everything's in boxes, and while you can move them around, I can never get it configured the way I want. Something more interactive, with a panel that lights up or calls your attention to different areas, would be helpful because it's hard to figure out where my benefits are since they're hidden in places you wouldn't think to look. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paycor lets me track hours and vacation based on school year timing, making break management easy. It's very accurate on my time sheet and makes tracking my hours during the pay period convenient. The tracking of PTO and sick leave is very helpful for planning my time off. Access via the computer is the best option as it helps me keep better track of my time, overtime, as well as lunch and breaks. It's valuable because I can accurately and promptly track my clock in and out times. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** From time to time the computer version freezes and I have to reload the page. The pad in the hallway is more difficult to remember clock in and clock out times, and the scrolling options could be reduced. I'm also not sure why the declaration of a lunch is still on there when using the pad. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paycor is very accurate for my timesheet and helps me track hours and plan PTO and sick leave. The setup was easy when we switched from ADP. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** The annual review process and goals are a bit confusing. I like the idea of setting goals, but it's not easy to track, and most people have problems during review time on what order to do everything and also where to find the review. Also time cards created more work on everyone including management. We used to be able to fix our own missed punches in ADP, know we cant fix our own time card and have to get management involved and this is a headache for some that miss alot of punches. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are no major problems with Paycor, it just created more work for everyone for time cards when we switch from ADP. ### 6. That is very annoying. Being able to see available PTO quickly is good also. I am not aware of integrations, performance, pricing or support available. AI everywhere is awful. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** Entering PTO requests are not as easy as they should be. Requiring 8 hours to be manually entered by scrolling through a list of numbers is tedious. in general, 8 hours is a work day. It should not be required to scroll through that list for every entry. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's really not solving much that I can see other than being able to access certain information easily. The one newer feature that is good is the ability to create my own landing page with the items I use. It used to contain all kinds of things that were useless to me. ### 7. However, it is difficult to find certain information, like where to change W4 forms. It takes me several clicks of looking to find where I can see my paycheck deductions and where to change that information. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** Hard to find paycheck deductions. THis information is hidden in menus and it is not easy to navigate to this information. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paycor makes it easy for me to quickly see my paycheck instead of having to navigate through menus or scroll on my home page. Paycor allows me to customize where information is on my home page so I can put the most important information where I want it. ### 8. Any issues we may have had, Paycor did solve. One thing I really like is that it's up to the staff to put all of their information in, so each staff member is inputting their own information. If they say there's an error or anything, it's the user themselves, and it's not solely on me and my team to input the information. That leaves less room for error than having a middle person do it. It's pretty much step by step, making sure they put the information in, and it seems to work out perfectly fine. I haven't had any staff complain about issues with Paycor. The setup was a little challenging, but I have an awesome team member who was great with assisting and getting us onboarded fully onto Paycor. She was a really, really big help, and with me being the HR manager, she had more time to move me along with the system. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** Ever since Paychex took over, it's just been harder to get in contact and get things situated. When I call, the call drops or I get hung up on. The last time, I got hung up on three times, and that was really annoying. I haven't tried to call again since then. I wish there was more human interaction. I'd rather talk to a live person who can walk me through how to get to what I need instead of having me follow these steps on my own. The reports are also the one thing we have issue with. Certain reports I need are a little hard to navigate, and creating the report I actually need is tricky. I wish they were more user friendly or that someone could assist me with them. The initial setup was a little challenging too. I also hate that they didn't do a conference this year. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Paycor for our payroll system. For the most part it's user friendly. I like that the staff input their own information, so it's not solely on me and my team, and it leaves less room for error. Any issues we had, Paycor did solve. ### 9. There wasn't a dedicated person or team, so when we had questions or issues, we would call, be on hold sometimes for over an hour, and the person wouldn't know the history because there were no notes left by the previous agent. It was frustrating to retell the issue over and over. Sometimes, after a long hold, the call would disconnect. Most importantly, the agents did not know how to resolve our concerns. It specifically meets our company's needs, and while it has taken several years to feel confident and comfortable with it because it's such a huge monster to learn, that familiarity is valuable. We genuinely like the core product. **What do you dislike about Paycor?** Customer service is definitely an issue—it's a struggle to get a direct phone number to reach a Paycor employee, even when I'm working directly with someone assigned to me. The sales representative changes so often that there's no opportunity to build an ongoing relationship, meaning I have to start over with a new rep multiple times a year. The EDI feeds are another headache. They're quite messy and take forever to resolve, so much so that it makes us wary of switching insurance carriers, knowing it'll be months before everything's sorted out. Also, the initial setup wasn't easy. It was really complex and lengthy, and though there was training, the trainers used technical terms without adjusting their language to fit the audience. They're so used to using their own terminology that it's often a struggle to understand their points. **What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Many of our "cases" or issues with Paycor center around EDI feeds. Also the third-party vendors who deal with Paycor on our behalf are incredibly frustrated with Paycor's poor customer service and lack of communication. ### 12. Payroll has to be submitted on Tuesday at 3:00 pm, and they charge extra if you miss that window.
