Paychex was an easy platform to use, and it also came at a low price point. The timekeeping portion was straightforward and easy to use as well. Support wasn’t very strong, and at one point I was completely locked out of the system. The reporting feature was easy to use, but the reports weren’t customizable. The performance process felt very limited, and once it was closed or a deadline was missed, there was no way to go back. The onboarding module wasn’t intuitive and sometimes wouldn’t function properly. There were also many complaints from employees that the system was hard to navigate. Paychex seamlessly calculates taxes, 401k contributions, and deductions. It handles direct deposits and offers strong reporting that adds transparency. Integrations have been challenging. We’ve been with Paychex for about seven months and still haven’t been able to integrate with our 401k provider.
