It's lightweight. Easy to configure.

Payara doesn't consume too many resources.

What do you like best about Payara Server?

The Support Availability, Pushing Fixed to upstream Glassfish, Being Quite fast in Jakarta EE and Microprofile updates and the very interesting Payara Cloud Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Umm well nit's not really downsides but ever since graalVM changed the game, application servers must be hurting as frameworks like quarkus become enticing, however payara cloud still seems very interesting usecase if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
