What do you like best about Payara Server?

The payara server runs applications locally and this makes it simple , payara server 6.2024.2 allows using multi-langauge in development of application. Easy to open a terminal and navigate to the project rooot without interface. The java version, java SE 8,11,17 and 21 are appropriate annd simple to install. What do you like best about Payara Server?

It is an application server solution that provides high-quality Enterprise support and significantly contributes to the development of open-source technologies and Jakarta EE.

The biggest features that distinguish it from other products are:

1- Much higher quality Enterprise Support service

2- Easy configuration and user-friendly management console

What do you dislike about Payara Server?

I honestly have nothing negative to say for now. Maybe, Payara can continue to produce solutions that will not fall behind its competitors, especially in the management of microservices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Payara Server solving and how is that benefiting you?

Payara offers Enterprise Solutions, for customers who want an open-source platform and also who want to manage their Enterprise Java applications with Enterprise support. Thanks to its strong community support, it improves itself by resolving the feedback and complaints from the end users in each new version. "Best Application Server for Jakarta EE Applications. Hassle Free, Reliable, Just Works."

What do you like best about Payara Server?

The stability of the application server is just amazing. Once you install and get it runnig (which isn't a very complex task even for production environments) you can completely forget about it. It just continues to work. No problems out of the box.

There's ample documentation on their website and the forum is pretty responsive.

It supports all the latest Jakarta EE specifications.

"Stickiness in production" is a term I use to describe the longevity of applciations that run within enterprise and business environments. It simply reflects the time since the application is deployed and continues to work without any issues. It can easily be a couple of years before you'd need to get back to the server to update it. This is of course barring security patches and updates which will force you to upgrade your environment sooner.

The forum is a great place to get answers. Of course, if you're on the enterprise tier,t hen there's a super responsive and knowledgeable support team to help you out of any complex issues.

There's numerous integration choices with different identity providers and database systesm. There's a very good telemetry and monitoring system bundled with the enterprise edition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payara Server?

Nothing much really! The release cadence can be a bit too fast sometimes which isn't a bad thing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Payara Server?

Payara Server and the whole surrounding toolset make at very pleasent to deploy Jakarta EE Applications in a modern cloud Enviroment. Cloud and Jakarta EE make it pretty easy to migrate not only Applcication but also reuse existing knowled of your team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
