What do you like best about Payactiv?

My favorite part is how sincerely committed the PayActiv founder and executive team are to helping employees better manage their money, and avoid late fees and the need to resort to predatory lenders. It is also super easy to enroll and use via the mobile app. The reminder alerts are great as well (text message and/or email per the employee's preference). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payactiv?

I used PayActiv for a few months when we first rolled out the service/benefit to the US-based employees at my company and something I personally noticed is that the money was only "extra" the first time I requested it. After that I had to keep using the service every pay period just to be paid my normal pay check amount. I had to budget to get by with less money on a pay check in order to stop having to use the service every pay period. Full disclosure: I requested the full allowable amount, vs. a smaller amount to pay a particular bill on time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Payactiv:

We rolled out PayActiv in a phased approach, starting with a pilot to one our five US business unit (a business unit that was having trouble converting contingent workers - paid weekly - to employees - paid bi-weekly), then followed by 3 other business units all at once after a few months of stabilization with the pilot group. We had a dedicated Change Management Lead for each business unit to help spread the word to employees and also field employee questions - in the method that worked best for that particular business unit. We also had a core project team - with representation from the HR PMO (yours truly), Payroll, Business Unit Change Management Leads, PayActiv, and HRIT (to help document requirements, build, test and deploy the integration files). Today after almost a year of rolling out PayActiv to our pilot group, we still report metrics to executive leadership on a monthly basis - % enrolled, # transactions, $ accessed, turnover/retention. While enrollment % has largely leveled off, it does continue to gradually increase, even with constant fluctuation in the number of eligible employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Payactiv solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was able to avoid using my credit card to buy essentials such as groceries or fuel for my car, meaning no credit card interest incurred. Huge win! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
