PAXIT is image management, measurement, and analysis software for microscopy laboratories, made by Midwest Information Systems, a company in business since 1988 and used by 1,000+ labs. Labs use PAXIT to capture images from PAXCAM microscope cameras, file them in a searchable database of cabinets and folders, measure them with calibrated tools, and produce reports. Analysis routines cover grain sizing, phase analysis, inclusion rating, and porosity under ASTM E112, E45, and E1245, plus particle counting and sizing. Image processing includes stitching, focal plane fusion, high dynamic range imaging, background subtraction, and time-lapse. Labs can annotate images with overlays and callouts that stay with the image, and send results to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF reports in one click. Regulated laboratories can add the 21 CFR Part 11 module for audit trails, electronic signatures, access controls, and IQOQ validation documentation. Workflow automation repeats capture and analysis sequences, and MIS can write custom routines for a specific lab process. PAXIT runs on Windows: Windows 11 recommended, Windows 10 supported.
