The Worst Experience That I've Had With Any Software Ever **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** William G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2020 **What do you like best about Patron Management?** The fact that they offer 2 step verification for login and the fact that they make me change my password regularly. That makes the software feel secure. **What do you dislike about Patron Management?** Almost everything. I have a doctorate degree and got my very first computer in 1982. This is easily the hardest to use most non-intuitive piece of software that I've ever attempted to use. The ticketing is clunky and the customization seems limited, but most of my issues are on the donor side. Everything is so complicated and the support articles are mostly useless and trying to get in touch with someone takes forever. Reporting is ridiculously difficult, and it should be much much easier to build dashboards. I spent almost 8 hours one day just trying to build a dashboard that I wanted and just finally gave up. I find it hard to believe as well that there are more features built in to help you clean or organize the system. It is also quite aggravating that as much as PM costs that it seems like the only way you can ever get what you need is to buy another package or addon. The whole thing just feels like a racket to keep you buying more. **Recommendations to others considering Patron Management:** Make sure that you know what you want out of it before you set it up. Get training on how to use the system. Maybe pay PM or someone else to set the system up. **What problems is Patron Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** PatronManager solves our ticketing problem yet it is very complicated and the UI just doesn't seem very friendly. ### 2. Customer support is lacking. Generating and customizing reports has a steep learning curve. **What problems is Patron Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better CRM and tracking of transactions for both box office and development thanks to being built on Salesforce platform. ### 3. The reporting is great and being able to schedule emails is very helpful. **What do you dislike about Patron Management?** Not user friendly at first and once you learn it there are a lot of funny quirks...e.g. if you want to use table of contents but dont want the first box to be the first line(which you cant control the font size, you have to put a random character and make it white. **What problems is Patron Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** this was our email provider until we went with another system. ### 4. It gives various options for visually tracking your donations and the types of donations that differs from regular reporting. **What do you dislike about Patron Management?** I dislike how difficult it is to manipulate reports and I also dislike the large margin of error you can face as a user especially if those who used Patron Manager before you had different ideas on how to record certain items. **Recommendations to others considering Patron Management:** I would recommend using Patron Manager for any big fundraising event from the beginning so you never have to pour in any outside data, which can get quite messy. **What problems is Patron Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ticketing is made quite simple through Patron Manager. ### 5. Equally simple ticketing, fewer glitches and stalls. **What do you dislike about Patron Management?** It has more functionalities than I use, but on the other hand I may expand and end up needing those in the future. I just thought fundraising was a bit of a different animal. **Recommendations to others considering Patron Management:** This is a solid system if you're dissatisfied with your current one. **What problems is Patron Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fast, reliable ticketing system for high volume event services.
