1. Can only have one bank account from which Patriot pulls funds. I have clients who have multiple divisions in their company and want the ability to pull different payrolls from different bank accounts depending on what department they are in.

2. Would love the ability to change a salaried amount on the fly. My client pays a fixed net amount ech month, and sometimes the calculation doesn't come out exact, so I have to go back into each employee, change the amount, cancel the payroll in progress (which showed me the wrong net) and re-enter it and try again to get the correct net.

3. Limited accounts for expense tracking - i.e. I can only record salaies to one account. Many times I would like to show officer salaries (and the officer name) to one account and staff salaries to another account. I currently have to do a JE to separate them once Patriot records them. As a new user, we've found the Patriot staff to be amazing at assisting us during our onboarding process. They have also been quick to respond to any questions we had prior to running our first payroll. I would like more options in the payroll software. I import each payroll into QuickBooks, using an .IIF file. When setting up the accounts to do this, all employees use the same accounts, whereas, in our QuickBooks, salaried employees have different expense accounts than wage employees. Payroll is a simple and fast with Patriot Payroll, and their user-friendly platform makes it easy to get up to speed in managing all aspects of what can be a tedious regular routine. Inputting personnel information, work hours and other data is straightforward and intuitive, and I find that the design of interface drives efficiency and saves significant time each pay cycle.

I have yet to encounter an error / inconsistency in paychecks, or in the reports that Patriot Payroll generates and stores for easy access. I am impressed by the amount of time freed up for me and my staff, now that we can rely upon Patriot Payroll - and avoid the need for accuracy and completeness checking we have encountered with past payroll systems.

I have also been impressed with Patriot Payroll’s ability to stay up-to date with the tax and regulatory changes that often assail small businesses without tax / accounting specialists on staff. The freedom from staying apace of ever-changing tax laws is eased dramatically by Patriot’s adjustments to keep their application compliant with current guidance and law, and, by all appearances, Patriot Payroll continues to make the investments in resources and staff to remain the best deal on the market with regard to the value they offer.
