PathSweeper is swept path analysis software that runs in the browser. Traffic planners, civil engineers, architects and urban planners use it to check whether a vehicle fits: a refuse truck in a residential street, a semi-trailer at a loading bay, a bus at a new stop, a delivery van in a car park. You load a site plan, set the scale, draw the path the vehicle should drive, and the swept envelope appears while you draw. There is nothing to install and no CAD licence is needed. PathSweeper works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. The turning simulation and the swept envelope are computed on your own device with WebAssembly, so for the basic workflow your plan never leaves your computer. Saved projects and uploaded files are hosted in Germany. The free version needs no account. It includes four generic standard vehicles (car, delivery van, 2-axle truck, bus), calibration on PDF and image site plans, forward and reverse manoeuvres, and export as PNG, JPEG, PDF or video. That is enough for a feasibility check or a first conversation with a client. The Project Pass is a one-time payment per project. It adds over 70 official design vehicles from six national libraries: RBSV 2020 for Germany, AASHTO 2018 for the US, Austroads 2023 for Australia and New Zealand, plus UK, French and Spanish vehicles. Articulated vehicles are part of it, from semi-trailers and truck-and-trailer combinations to articulated buses, B-doubles and road trains. With the Pass you can also use your own vehicles built from manufacturer data sheets, upload DWG and DXF drawings, work on satellite imagery, and export the result as DXF or DWG or as an A3 plan sheet with scale bar for your submission. Offices that run swept path checks all year take the Annual Pass, which covers unlimited projects and includes a personal onboarding and priority support. For larger organisations there is a Team tier and an Enterprise option on a dedicated instance in Germany, with the company's own vehicle fleet in the selector and SSO on request. Logistics and heavy-haulage companies use this to check routes and yard access with the exact vehicles they run. PathSweeper is built and operated by Joël Marth, an independent developer and M.Sc. physics student at the Technical University of Munich, based in Munich, Germany. The swept path engine was developed independently.
