I've managed multiple ConfigMgr environments and implemented Patch My PC in almost all of them. When I come into a new company that doesn't have it already, it's one of the first improvements I suggest making. The ROI on this product is absolutely off the charts. It saves countless hours of manually packaging/testing/deploying third-party updates, freeing up packaging resources to focus on the more unique apps (LOB) that Patch My PC doesn't handle. Not only that, but it's dead simple to install and manage. On the off chance you need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
, Patch My PC's support is next level. Their engineers are some of the smartest in the industry and go above and beyond in every interaction. They are super responsive to adding new products to the catalog as well.Nothing. It does exactly what it advertises and does it well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The evaluation process of the software for us was extremely smooth, and Patch My PC was there to support us every step of the way. After we downloaded the trial and got on a demo with a PMPC Engineer, we configured it and asked many questions via email to PMPC Support while configuring. PMPC Support consistently responded extremely fast and with plenty of helpful details to answer all our questions. We also got on another call with a PMPC Engineer to look over our configuration of the software, and he gave us many helpful tips and showed us many things that we didn't have time to go over during the original demo. They have invested time to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
set us up for success in our Intune implementation, and we have implemented Intune weeks faster than we would have if we had to configure Intune apps and their updates manually.Would love for this to be a cloud app in the future! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being an MSP ourselves, Patch My PC is the absolute king when it comes to 3rd party patch management for the Windows ecosystem, the team are absolutely fantastic and support our clients extremely well, the guys @ PMPC are very approachable and it is very easy to schedule calls \ demo's \ health checks on their portal is a great
. Our clients rave about PMPC on how much time it has saved them, from not only patching existing clients in the wild but keeping their ConfigMgr task sequences in an evergreen state and with the fairly recent addition of their Intune extension has been very well received too, it just works, very little configuration effort and if you're stuck, the guys are extremely knowledgable and helpful. On top of this, PMPC are regularly expanding their catalogue of supported applications and often implement additional features based on feedback received from clients. However, what I like best about PatchMyPC is how they support the community, they have a great YouTube channel with awesome content that spreads knowledge to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
others with not only 3rd party patch management but wider within the Microsoft Endpoint Manager solution along with various webinars.Nothing, it works great and the team are fantastic. Keep going! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compared to the other major players in this space, PMPC is the only one that does 3rd party patching as their primary offering. The others have it as an add-on to their various management suite offerings. With PMPC, this is what they do, and they do it exceptionally well. Another plus is their engineering staff, which consists of Microsoft MVPs and other talented and dedicated folks.
They also have continued to add value to their product by introducing the ability to have PMPC create Applications and keep them updated in Configuration Manager. This solution solves a long-running problem for ConfigMgr admins. Plus, they can do updating with Intune! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. There is nothing to dislike about PMPC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where do I start?
This product, from demo to purchase, has just felt right. It is straightforward to use and has some great advanced features that take the stress out of packaging updates. We use both the Application deployment for our imaging and Packages to update those apps out there on the network. We do work with a small set of apps currently (maybe 20 or so), but the compliance of these apps is through the roof compared to when we had to create and deploy the updates manually.
The quality of the updates, notifications of when things have been updated and the functionality are all awesome things to
you not have to worry about what is going on.
They listen to their customers, and their ideas board has some great content of what customers want, and they implement a good chunk of it.
The support team is excellent. The Support staff are very quick to respond to questions, even when it is something simple . The support alone is worth the (small) price of this product.
The knowledge articles and videos Justin makes is just icing on the cake. They really do pump out a lot of tips and tricks for free!
My management and security team are very pleased with this product for what it can do. We do not leverage Intune yet, but I look forward to leveraging this tool to
us along when the time comes.
Justin C is the cream of the crop in how he has this business moving forward. I don't know them personally, but I feel like this is a close group of guys and girls that make this a company you want to join your company as a vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This review only allows me to give five stars.
So I will give the product and staff 10 Stars.
I have found nothing wrong with the product, and I am thrilled I discovered it, and my company saw the benefits of using this and purchased it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How I can spend my time on other items and Let Patch My PC automate my 3rd party updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not have anything I dislike except maybe some more applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Patchmypc is just like an "overlay" to Intune, although it just makes the deployment and patching process much more manageable. The documentation is good, and the support is always there to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
. We had two remote sessions, first to check the environment - if set up correctly, and then a second one when we wanted to clarify some of our doubts—all without any problems. Also, the licensing model is great, and pricing is very affordable, even for smaller companies. Webhooks also work well. With an automatic message to the dedicated Teams Channel, we always know if something went wrong without logging in to PatchMyPC console or Endpoint Management.Well, the only thing I dislike is not really PatchMyPC's fault. But bear in mind, as I said above - it's just an overlay for Intune. So it means it can't support features that Intune does not support. And that's the only problem. We had some ideas on how to improve scheduling patterns with some nice deployment models, but we were not able to enforce them because Intune didn't support them. So not PatchmyPC problem, but I needed to write something here... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intuitive, thank the gods. From install to setup to use, if you think it happens that way, or wish a function would work in a certain way or expect to find a button in a certain place, then it probably is, and it probably does. Its very easy to install and you'll be up and running in no time, thats not to say it isnt without the power to customise it is, you just dont need to bother with it until you want to. Its out-of-the-box support for a long list of applications AND the ability to identify and Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
prioritise which apps to patch in your environment is excellent.Nothing, it really adds functionality that the supported MS products should have out of the box with intuitive usability MS still hasnt managed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since using Patch My PC I have been enabled to reduce the amount of machines with out of date software. Patches come out on a daily bases and the ADR will distribute this to the estate of machines at the hospital. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I haven't seen any downside to the product. It does everything needed; I can't say a bad word about the company. When I have phoned for Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
, they have always answered.Very easy to use to get 3rd party updates to Intune, where most businesses are going. At the same time, you can also deploy to non-Intune devices using Configuration Manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, there are no downsides to using PatchMyPC. Our compliance numbers have improved. Whenever I need to check for an update, it is almost always already there and synched with Intune Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
