Passwork Cloud has made a strong first impression, especially in terms of UI and user experience. The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, making it simple to organize credentials using vaults, folders, color labels, and tags. I also appreciate the flexibility of custom fields, detailed activity logs, per-record event history, and the ability to duplicate entries while retaining existing metadata. The onboarding experience has been smooth, and the customer support team has been excellent throughout our evaluation. They have been responsive, professional, and helpful in answering questions and clarifying product capabilities. I also like the customization options, such as the organization-specific URL and customizable workspace banner, which help create a more personalized experience for teams. The role-based vault structure, with both shared and private vaults, keeps permission management clean and predictable. Our end users found it intuitive, so adoption was straightforward and didn’t require much hand-holding. LDAP integration takes care of user provisioning and deprovisioning automatically, and the SAMLv2 support meets our SSO requirements. The API is well documented and genuinely usable in practice. Since we have people across different departments, the ability to set up permissions was one of the main reasons we switched to Passwork from previous service. The API is well documented, which made it easy to integrate Passwork into our existing workflows. The interface feels intuitive, and onboarding new team members now takes minutes instead of days. What do you dislike about Passwork? Secrets management could be better. Each service account you create consumes a license and you can't scope permissions per API key. So if you want to utilize the API for secrets management, you have to choose between overly broad permissions or purchasing a lot of licenses for granular API access. The licenses are very affordable, but having an API key's permission scope cost the same as a human user feels bad. Also with the API, Passwork only publishes a Python library and CLI tool for API interaction. The API is fully documented so you could build your own tool without a Python dependency if needed, but it would be nice to have a native Windows tool available. Desktop client doesn't support auto-type. A feature I'll miss moving from KeePass. Doesn't have much for built in reporting aside from the activity audit log and the security dashboard. Our small business wanted to migrate from KeePass to something with a native browser extension and was centrally managed. I evaluated trials of self-hosted Bitwarden, KeePass Hub, and Passwork. The one design choice that is a bit frustrating is setting up users through LDAP integration. Adding users isn't done through the User Management menu, which would make sense, but instead through the LDAP server management menu. It's not intuitive. Passwork is an intuitive password vaulting solution which allows us to share and review password security in a user-friendly way. This solution allows us to fine-tune permissions on password access used for a numerous amount of applications and systems. This solution was chosen because of it's easy integration with our local systems using LDAP, and later SSO, allowing for enterprise-level security. The key feature for our organization is the ability to self-host, which allows us to control access and security even further. Comparing to other enterprise-grade password vaulting solutions it is priced very competitively. We use Passwork as our primary business password manager and have been very happy with it so far. The interface is clean and intuitive, onboarding the team was straightforward, and sharing credentials between teams and individual users works reliably. The self-hosted option and the rights management are a major plus: you can create multiple vaults and control precisely who has access to what. The vendor is also very responsive and is actively working on new features, which we genuinely appreciate. Pros: TOTP support, multiple languages, easy installation, good scalability as the team grows, and a vendor that is active and easy to reach. The greatest strength of Passwork for us is the combination of a clear structure and clean rights management. Passwords can be logically organized in folders (e.g., by systems or departments), so that even less tech-savvy users can quickly find the required access without having to ask questions first. Particularly helpful is the granular access control: We can very precisely determine who is allowed to view or edit passwords. This way, sensitive accesses can be specifically secured, while teamwork becomes significantly more efficient at the same time. A major benefit in everyday use is centralization. Previously, access data was distributed across various systems (Excel, notes, etc.); today, all authorized users access a unified platform. This noticeably reduces search times and coordination and overall provides more transparency. The performance is stable and remains fast even with many entries. In daily use, there are no delays, which is especially important in support or administration contexts. The implementation was straightforward and could be carried out with minimal effort, as the interface is largely self-explanatory. The pricing is fair and transparent compared to the market. For larger or more complex environments, additional functions in the area of reporting and auditing would also be helpful to document changes and accesses in a more detailed and traceable manner.
