SSO login does not work without a plugin **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2026 **What do you like best about passbolt?** I really liked the number of features available and how clearly the passwords are organized. **What do you dislike about passbolt?** I was bothered by the fact that it was necessary to use a browser plugin, without which it was not possible to log in via SSO. **What problems is passbolt solving and how is that benefiting you?** Passbolt helps with secure storage and sharing of passwords, particularly in technically oriented teams that prefer self-hosted or open-source solutions. It provides granular access control and strong security foundations, which can be beneficial for organizations with strict security requirements and dedicated IT resources. ### 2. Password can be shared team-wise. Members can be added/removed to those teams. So a great tool to share passwords across the organization. **What do you dislike about passbolt?** The Mozilla extension of passbolt resets quite a few times. I have checked the settings, but every week I have to reset my password, my security keys just because the extension doesn't work the way its supposed to. It isn't very pleasant. **What problems is passbolt solving and how is that benefiting you?** Benefit of passbolt is definitely organization-wide password sharing.
