One of the main advantages offered by this distribution is that it provides good support for the updates of the different tools that it provides as there is a strong community behind that periodically reviews the latest packages of each of the tools. In addition, the best tools for performing security audits are pre-installed out-of-the-box, especially from the offensive point of view, with the objective to discover and exploit vulnerabilities in an organization's infrastructure. I think that documentation can be improved, especially for starting users; it would be good to have guided tutorials and explain the different types of tools that we can find in the distribution. Recommendations to others considering Parrot Security OS: This distribution is designed to provide a complete set of tools for performing penetration testing, attack mitigation, security investigation, forensic analysis, and vulnerability assessment. I use it primarily for application security testing, as well as the discovery and exploitation of vulnerabilities related to applications and servers that are part of our organization. For example, if we have an application that we are developing and we want to upload it to production, we could use this distribution to check its security, as well as the servers of the infrastructure where the application is running.
