PaperLink is a document sharing and tracking platform for freelancers, consultants, and small businesses. Users upload Documents, generate secure shareable links, and track how recipients interact with the document in real time.
The core functionality centers on view analytics. When someone opens a shared link, PaperLink records who opened it, when, from which country and device, how long they spent on each page, and whether they downloaded the file. Per-page engagement data is displayed as a visual heatmap, showing which sections received the most attention and where readers dropped off.
Link sharing includes configurable access controls: password protection, email gate (requiring the viewer to enter their email before accessing the document), login requirement, expiration dates, download restrictions, and NDA/agreement signing with email verification. Each file can have multiple links with different settings for different recipients. Custom domains allow white-label sharing under the user's own domain.
The Data Room feature lets users organize files into nested folder structures with shared access links and folder-level analytics.
PaperLink also includes invoicing and estimate modules with PDF generation, custom statuses, Kanban board management, payment tracking, and one-click estimate-to-invoice conversion. A product catalog stores items with pricing, tax rates, and inventory tracking. Financial tracking covers income, expenses, and transfers across multiple account types and currencies, with a dashboard showing KPIs, cash flow charts, and category breakdowns.
Additional features include team collaboration with four permission-based roles, multi-team support with isolated data, AI-powered document engagement insights, interactive onboarding, and localization in multiple languages.
