"Powerful, User-Friendly Research Platform with Excellent AI Writing and PDF Chat"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

I love this platform as this platform gives researchers most of the assistance required for in depth analysis to come to conclusion for the research. The platform also have other useful features like reference manager that allows user to find out all the sources of the article. Other than this the writing assistant helps in summarizing, editing and making the article grammatically correct while also providing the capacity to brainstorm with exiting document or completely new documents. Other than this I also love the capability of this platform to allow chatting with PDF files which makes user grab the content of the document faster. Frankly I am satisfied with the performance of this platform. The user friendly interface of this platform allows user to be more comfortable while using this platform. The onboarding of this platform is also easy and secured. I am also happy with the output of AI features of this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

I love most part of this platform but I wish that the pricing of this platform was more of monthly basis than credit basis as the budget of using this platform might go really fast for using the AI of this platform. I also wish that there was better integration tools for this platform. I also wish that there was mobile app for this platform which would greatly improve the mobility of this platform. "Paperguide: A Powerful All-in-One Research Ecosystem with Concise AI Outputs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

After purchasing Paperguide(PG) on AppSumo, I was expecting just another AI-based writing tool. Boy, was I wrong! PG to me is a whole research ecosystem that has AI writing (depending on user level), summary, and research tools built in. Three apps in one! So far, the outputs have been concise, clean, and not too wordy. I like that there is no output word limit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

To me, PG is multiple AI tools in one. As such, it does several things better than some other things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"On the right track!"
4/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

Paperguide integrates AI into the actual research and writing process and allows you to customize how you use your sources with AI. Too many tools just upload a bunch of docs or only talk to one PDF or only does research. It's about the writing process, not just AI.

While I there is still work to do, Paperguide has the right vision. Each new feature they add helps me use Paperguide in the writing process ... not just use it as a separate tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

I don't think the search is quite there yet, and I find the interface a bit overloading. But they have a tough challenge and I think they are moving in the right direction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect tool for researching scientific articles and then systematically evaluating them."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

PaperGuide not only enables the search for scientific articles but also provides a comprehensive systematic evaluation of the search results. For each found article, you can "at the push of a button" retrieve the main results, the research method(s) used, identified research gaps, tested hypotheses, etc. You receive a large but clear table where the found articles are in the rows and the aforementioned information is in the columns. You can decide the number of columns yourself. The ability to interact with documents (e.g., PDFs) is also (almost) perfect. You can not only ask questions but also perform more complex tasks (e.g., creating multiple-choice questions including explanations of the correct answer(s)). Overall, the tool is easy to use, and you intuitively understand how to proceed to achieve the desired results. That's why I use PaperGuide regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

What I don't quite like at the moment is the display of the quoted text passages when interacting with documents (e.g., PDFs). This is done in a popup as continuous text. It would be (much) better if, instead, the original document were displayed next to the chat and the quoted passages were highlighted in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really good tool for research and writing papers"
5/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

Paperguide is very helpful for organize my research materials and make the writing more easy. The citation feature save me lot of time, and I can work together with my colleagues in same projects which is great. The interface is not so complicated and help me stay focused when I write for long time. The automatic formatting make sure everything look consistent, and the research tools help me to find good sources quick. Overall it make my academic work much more efficient than before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

Is quite difficult to learn in the beginning, especially if you not used to this kind of research tools. Some formatting options are not so advanced like Microsoft Word or other programs. Sometimes have problems with synchronization when I work in different devices which can be annoying. The mobile app need more functions because sometimes I want to do research when I'm not at home. Also the price is bit expensive for students like me who don't have much money for this tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Paperguide: A Streamlined Research Assistant with Room for Deeper Thinking"
4/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

As the principal of Triangle Forces, a boutique management consulting advisory, I am constantly searching for tools that can help my team work smarter and deliver higher value to our clients. Over the past weeks, I’ve integrated Paperguide into several of our client engagements and internal projects. Having tested a number of AI-powered research and writing assistants over the years, I’m happy to say Paperguide stands out in several key areas, but it’s not without its limitations.

What immediately drew me to Paperguide was its intuitive, attractive interface. Onboarding was straightforward, and within minutes I was able to generate well-structured outlines and concise research summaries on complex topics. For a consulting firm like ours—where clarity, speed, and presentation matter—these features are invaluable. The platform’s ability to organize information and create readable drafts makes it easy to move from initial research to actionable deliverables in record time. The summaries are clear and save hours usually spent sifting through disparate sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

As someone who values substance over style, I have noticed that Paperguide’s “deep research” feature doesn’t always go deep enough. While the summaries are detailed, the selection process for cited papers is somewhat narrow: the system prioritizes 10 highly relevant sources, even when there are thousands available on a topic. For advanced consulting or academic work that demands broad, critical analysis, this can feel limiting. The AI’s current capabilities sometimes fall short of the “thinking partner” standard—its insights are helpful but lack the leap in critical reasoning or comprehensive synthesis that top-tier LLMs (large language models) can offer. I haven't found clear details on which LLM underpins Paperguide, and this opacity might concern users who need assurance about data accuracy and research depth.

Support has been excellent—responses are quick and personable, and the company’s product roadmap shows an active commitment to improvement. That said, features like plagiarism checking are still under development, and there are restrictions on PDF upload size. These are not dealbreakers but are worth noting if you often work with large files or require plagiarism detection as part of your workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PaperGuide Makes My Research Easier"
5/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

I really enjoy using Paper Guide for writing because it helps me stay organized and focused. What I like most is how it breaks down the writing process step by step, making it easier to develop a clear structure and strong argument. It’s also helpful for keeping my ideas on track without getting overwhelmed. Whether I’m working on a research paper or just brainstorming, Paper Guide gives me a solid foundation to build on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

What I don’t like about Paper Guide is that it can feel repetitive. A lot of the prompts start to sound the same after a while, especially if I’ve used it for multiple papers. It’s still useful, but sometimes I find myself skimming through sections just to get to the parts I actually need. It’s more helpful at the beginning of a paper than when I’m deep into writing. "A very unique AI Research Assitant tool!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

I had heard about this tool for a long time, but when I finally tried it, I realized how incredibly useful it can be for me as a student and learner. It offers interesting features such as Deep Search and literature review, and it's also very helpful for academic writing (with reference management and citation support, including integrations with Zotero and BibTeX). You can extract data and, of course, chat with PDF files. The most interesting feature for me is the ability to analyze research articles and extract data from them. Moreover, the platform is relatively easy to use. The interface is similar to many other tools, so navigating through the various commands and options feels intuitive, and the support team is responsive and very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

I find the credits quite limiting and not very generous considering the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Paperguide: A must have tool for researchers"

PAPERGUIDE

A Game-Changer for Research!

I recently started using Paperguide, and I must say it has completely transformed the way I approach my research. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to find relevant papers and articles in my field.

The search functionality is robust, allowing me to filter results by various criteria, which saves me a lot of time. I particularly appreciate the personalized recommendations based on my reading history; they often lead me to gems I wouldn't have found otherwise.

Moreover, the collaborative features are fantastic! Being able to share notes and insights with colleagues enhances our discussions and helps us stay on the same page.

Overall, Paperguide is an invaluable tool for anyone involved in research. It streamlines the process, fosters collaboration, and ultimately helps us stay informed about the latest developments in my field.

Paper guide improves my literature search a lot. It provides a organised summary of papers regarding any subject. It helps me to understand any topic faster and also to write articles like a master. I purchased through AppSumo LTD . I am a winner on buying that product. Please keep improving. My good wishes is always with you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

Nothing till now but I will suggest inclusion of AI infographics (tables and figures) and mind map during writing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A smart companion for both work and research"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paperguide?

I work in carbon accounting and am also doing postgraduate research in software engineering, so I’m constantly juggling papers, references, and writing deadlines. Paperguide has been a huge help in cutting through the chaos. I love being able to upload papers and actually chat with them—it's like having a super knowledgeable research buddy. The way it helps structure outlines based on a topic is a real time-saver, especially when I’m stuck figuring out how to start. The platform is easy to use, and the email tutorials make it even easier to get the hang of things. I’m really looking forward to the “deep research” feature—feels like it’ll take things to the next level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paperguide?

Not much, honestly. If I had to pick something, it’s that the document generation part could be a bit more intuitive at first. Also, a Dark Mode would be amazing—my eyes would definitely thank me after long reading sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
