What do you dislike about PaperCut?

As for the CSV part, I really want to create a BI about it but I still haven't managed to generate a decent CSV. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great service"

What do you like best about PaperCut?

Papercut was incredibly easy to set up in our environment. Managing the service is a breeze, and support is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PaperCut?

Print notifications aren't bundled into the print deploy client, which is inconvenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alistair Nestor of PaperCut

Hello and thanks for your thoughts, Logan!

I appreciate your feedback regarding the print notifications. While we don't currently bundle the user client with Print Deploy, we understand that having a unified solution is more convenient. You can set up notifications using the PaperCut User Client, which is a separate small application that can be deployed to your users' desktops. This client provides real-time notifications about print jobs, account balances, and other system messages. You can find more information about this in our knowledge base: https://www.papercut.com/help/manuals/ng-mf/clienttool/user-client/

So to be clear, that would mean installing clients on each user's computer (the Print Deploy client AND the user client).

Thanks again for your review and for hanging out with us!

"Papercut has reduced the number of hands on hours."
5/5
What do you like best about PaperCut?

Installation went well and the product works very well. End users are able to walk up to any of the printers in the corporation and print...this has resulted in a huge time savings for our building level technicians who were spending hours adding printers to end users. Now it's just add one printer and the end users are happy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PaperCut?

I haven't found anything I dislike about papercut at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The easiest print deployment tool ive ever used."
4.5/5
What do you like best about PaperCut?

Although papercut may be intended for well cutting paper, the most useful feature is its print deployment. I work in a mixed environment of PC, Mac, and ChromeOS. Papercuts "print depoy" has you covered. Updating drivers is a breeze, adding new devices is just as easy. With SSO support authentication is super easy for the end user. If someone has a printer issue, just refresh your printers. From an IT point of view this makes deployment and management super quick and easy. Papercut is worth every penny just for the ease of use for end users. Gone are the days of running from building to building just to get your people printing again. What do you dislike about PaperCut?

While someone of this is just an issue with the OSX handles certain things deployment of print deploy is a bit of hassle to get going through your mdm. If that process could be streamlined I would be happy to up my rating to a ten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PaperCut saved our printing costs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PaperCut?

We were looking for a Cloud Print Server and we found Papercut. It Is very simple to install and to use. We easily started preventing the misuse of the printers, we defined rules to avoid or allow 1face or 2face paper printing and also to notify the user to choose B/W instead color printing and also to block printing documenta with many many pages.

Thanks to the statistics and analytics present in the portal we manage to reduce the paper consume and to take a green certification. We use also the mobile app that can be very useful when the user has to print something quickly. During these years many features have been developed, so the project is alive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PaperCut?

Some of the features are on the premium license. The network is a key point and you should have some internal node (always running machines) to be sure to print. You can rename the Printers with the location but could be useful to upload an image with the map of the office in order to choose the printer from there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
