  ### 5. Intuitive Print Services Management, Great Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trey B. | System Administrator II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

I like several things about PaperCut, the service and the company. They make setup and configuration easy compared to the previous product/service that we originally had (Pharos). Their documentaiton pages are abundant, relevent, and informative. The integration of services like PayPal and ticketing system is not hard to set up, either. And their customer support has always been willing to try to help us meet whatever goal we're pursuing in the moment with PaperCut. Our users are printing throughout the day and we see much less tickets about printing issues now than we did before Papercut wwas in our lives.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

While the documentation is plentiful, there are some articles that are a smidgen out of date sometimes. This happens with our own internal documentation, so I can't really fault them for that. There is one feature that I went to look for recently (contacted customer service to confirm), but found they do not have. That's in relation to the Release Stations: the "About" page will show a count for how many Release Station are in use, but there's not list of what those Release Station are. Sure, "we" set them up, but it was a set-it-and-forget-it by the technician. It would be nice to know the computer hostnames of the Release Stations, maybe linked from that about pages. I mean, the system knows the fact that there's 5 connected, but where/what are they?

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The initial problem was that management wanted to count paper. As in, how much is being used? That snowballed into the following. They wanted to charging students for paper usage. They wanted to be able to perform chargebacks when a person from one department printed on another department's printer. They thought it'd be nice to be able to swipe a badge at the printer and immediately sign in instead of typing to sign in.
Managing all these things as an administrator on our original system (Pharos) was closer to impossible. Papercut has the capability built-in from the get-go without needing much confguration on the back end.

  ### 6. An excellent solution for public libraries!

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

We would just like them to be able to code in digital fax billing separation from scan billing.

It gives us a unified enterprise managed solution for print, scan, copy, and fax services across all 31 locations.

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

Since we started using Papercut, we have saved countless reams of paper and toner! Even though we don't charge per print, having release stations in our Student Labs has cut down drastically on over-printing and abandoned jobs causing waste.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

I'd like the ability to have print queues default to B&W, but still be end user changable back to color. The control seems to be all or nothing on the color vs grayscale.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Papercut has saved alot of paper waste in our student labs. It also manages our copiers and allows us to charge back to departments for their usage.

  ### 13. Papercut review

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

Easy to use system that has resulted in a significant decrease in the devices required on our site and reduced our TCO for our print estate.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Just keep evolving your great product, i am sure you have plenty in your roadmap for us to take advantage of in the future.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduced our print estate from 39 devices down to 11. This time we purchased the print devices and the whole 5 year project will payfor itself within 10 months.

  ### 14. Reliable, confidentiality, small learning curve - Technology Director Approved printing system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

The versatility of user printing. People can submit a print project from anywhere and print from any PaperCut network printers that are available.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Implementation process is the least helpful part because of the level of technical knowledge that is required. This is because of all the possible options PaperCut can do and how it operates. Must have someone that knows PaperCut inside and out for proper impelmentation. Downside is finding an honest, quality company with individuals with the knowledge to properly support PaperCut and all of its options. Once found, PaperCut is an awesome program for any Techology Department to utilize and support for their users. PaperCut Support availability might be better in larger, more metropolitan areas.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves the tracking of where all of the printing costs come from. We are able to narrow down and get to the exact printer/building that is printing the most.

  ### 15. PaperCut is a great way to manage users printing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve M. | IT Support Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

From the outset, PaperCut stands out for its ease of installation and user-friendly operation. Its seamless integration with existing systems and broad compatibility with a range of devices and operating systems make it an excellent solution for diverse IT environments.

We are a small school and sometimes the prints are out of control and can be printed but never collected. This leads to a lot of wasted prints.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

PaperCut for me, is just fine and has no cons. I am happy.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users printing for no reason, prints sent and never collected, prints sent to the wrong printer so sent again to the correct one. Misuse of the machines.

  ### 16. Papercut printing software features and add ons

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nebojsa P. | Network Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2020

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

The best thing about this software is that you have a complete control of every single paper used and spent in you company. The mobility add on makes almost every OS paltform printing, throught devices like tablets and cell phones

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

The price is sightly up, but in general pays itself later on. Initial configuration is not that easy, but this due to different type and brands of printers. Mobility add on is not available any more on some OS platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering PaperCut:**

This software is probably the most complete solution on market. Many years of experience and evolution based of user experience and customer requirements.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of accidental printing, and saving paper and prorecting the environment. The benefit is saving a lot of money in paper and the control of expenses of each user. Another benefit is the limiting the usage of paper per user. You can also limit the printer which each user could use and access. Unifining in the mobility functions resolved multi OS platform issue.

It becomes easy and clear if the plan layouts for every product or project are well put together. PaperCut is the mastermind behind making printing of these plans secure, easy and cost effective. We have had an amazing and productive experience with PaperCut. The returns are massive given it's reasonable pricing and we get incredible support from their tech team who are always upto task any time hence we haven't had any downside all these time

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PaperCut for department printing management. It has streamlined and made easy to print our optic plans in a secure way. It integrates with diagramming platforms we use to prepare plans soo we print directly without having to transfer diagrams thus our outputs are more clear and accurate. Also clear tracks and audits of each usage brought about transparency and accountability in printing . A centralized control pane allow us to counter check and preview before we print soo we don't have any chances of errors and double double printing which eliminates on wastage of papers and toner beneficial from a financial and environmental aspect. ie having the entire
print workspace in our fingertips is way to manage and control it's impact. Detection and resolution of error is quick and timely with devices and entire system centralized. With all these uses PaperCut has cut our printing cost by half.

  ### 18. Good support, effective product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Duncan C. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

I can monkey with it to change what I need when I need it. Support has the deep understanding to help when issues are out of my depth or are deep in the code.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Support contracts, the need to upgrade to support newer printers that then require we buy a year of support to update.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Print tracking and billing for prints, simplifies printing from a variety of platforms. Enable easy deployment.

  ### 19. Easy and Secure Print Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward F. | Information Communication Technology Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

We initially introduced PaperCut in our organization in order to have "Secure Printing" and a "Follow Me" feature. In other words, to be able to safely release a print job when and where we need it. We have found that it does way more than we initially expected. For our Printer Management it allowed us to have a dashboard with an easy view of our MFD park. Toner levels, usage, notifcation, as well as Management info/reporting on WHAT is being printed (page formats, color or monochrome, number of pages) by departments and individuals.
Using the JOB SUBMISSION PORTAL we also had control on jobs to be submitted to our print/mail room for booklets, fill-in forms, manuals etc.
Being something you use daily, having it work as seemlessly as it does is a huge plus and the posibility of integrating it into Active Directory made the need of creating users individually, obsolete.
All in all more than we bargained for or expected.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Setting it up had a bit of a learning curve. We had the basic stuf set up right away, but the list of features and options was sso extensive, we ended up learning more and more with every time we logged into the administration portal.
Thankfully local support and representatives of the product as well as the Customer Support made implementation a succes.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As stated before, we were looking into an way of managing WHEN and WHERE jobs were printed. Having an office with 250 user and 13 MFDs in different locations, we needed to be able to know that a jobs is only released when and where we needed it.

  ### 20. "Most efficient software solutions aimed at improving printing efficiency"

The user interface of Papercut is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to configure settings, generate reports, and manage printing queues. Moreover, the software's compatibility with a wide range of printer models and operating systems ensures seamless integration into our existing infrastructure. It has an awesome customer support. Additionally, Papercut's integration with various authentication methods, such as card readers has enhanced print job security, ensuring that sensitive documents are accessed and printed by authorized individuals only. It also help save a lot of paper being wasted.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Sometimes I would get lost with all the features it has. However, I think once I am used it, I will be fine.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a big team working together in the office. Previously I had problems like printing same documents twice because I accidentally clicked print option twice. I handle a lot of sensitive data and informations, so, security is a big issue for me. With Papercut I can feel safe and secure with the security features it has.

  ### 21. Fantastic Product and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mo K. | Network Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

You can use it with Oystercard or contactless card/bank card. Very Easy to use software.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

The option to arrange/put staff in department other than from AD/Server. I want to be able to create a group of department and put them in group to allow me to give credit at once.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a tight printing budget, PaperCut, helped us manage our money by given staff a limited credit and they will need to fill in a form to get extra.

  ### 22. Papercut is good product that is solving a unique problem

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cajetan Emeka O. | Machine Learning Researcher (Collaborator), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

Being a postgraduate student means juggling countless assignments and research papers, and printing is a big part of that. So when I stumbled upon PaperCut at LSBU during my university journey, I had to further interact with the software and I must say it's like having a personal printing assistant right at your fingertips.

What I love most about PaperCut is that I could keep track of my printing usage, set limits on how much I print (which really helped me stay on budget!). As someone who is very conscious of the environment, seeing the impact of every page printed made me think twice before hitting that 'print' button unnecessarily. Not only did it save me money, but it also made me feel like I was doing my bit for the environment.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

It was absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't think of any downside for now.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many problems that the software could potentially solve, but it basically serves as an environmental tracker for me. It has been useful in helping me keep track of how much I spend on printing.

  ### 23. Life with Papercut

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carldrell J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

Papercut excels in its innovative approach. If it's a product or service, the user experience is intuitive, making it accessible to novices and seasoned veterans alike. The design is sleek, marrying form and function in a way that's both pleasing to the eye and practical. If we're talking about a song or album, it's the emotional depth and the intricate layering of sounds that stand out, showcasing a mastery over the medium that's rare and commendable.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

While it gets a lot right, there are moments where it feels lacking. If it's a product or service, certain features might feel underdeveloped or missing altogether, leaving the user wanting more. What i want is a more user friendly experience and that would make it a plus.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is giving our users a way to print and scan with ease without any drawback of users having to do too much.

  ### 24. PaperCut software - straightforward and efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

PaperCut is an easy to use print management software, which allows for follow me printing. This is especially useful when in office as you can simply go to the nearest printer and release the print there rather than having to send to one specific device. This saves time as you can avoid queuing at one device waiting for the printout.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

While PaperCut is predominantly favourable, if there is a poor internet connection this can cause it to be a little too slow at times, which isn't ideal. Also if there is a fault on the device and the printout is mid way through it doesnt appear to be able to be cancelled which is a pain.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Each time PaperCut is upgraded there are new features which is always a positive

  ### 25. Papercut was exactly what we needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

For context, I manage a network at a high school with nearly 2,000 daily users. Providing a shared printing environment that is easy for end-users on iPads and laptops was essential, but with sufficient controls to prevent abuse. The papercut system is our complete solution. It does everything we need. With regard to the end-users, access to printing is secure, yet simple. From a management standpoint this system supports all the reporting we need. It is not difficult to manage and it is very flexible at supporting our users.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

For us, our difficulties with Papercut are few and far between. It has been a long time since we files a support case.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Papercut helps us provide and manage student printing via IOS devices (iPads) easilly. This is crucial for our school. We also can tend to problems quickly when we get notifications about toner running low.

  ### 26. PaperCut gives us a robust and reliable way of printing our architectural design papers.

Support is very limited in Türkiye......

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consumable control. Device life etc.

  ### 29. Over 10 Years of Great User Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George G. | Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

PaperCut has allowed us to limit our student usage of the MFP Fleet and not abuse their priveledges. Previous to having these checks, we would find thousands of sheets of paper in recycle bins adjacent to each device. PaperCut has led to thoughtful and resonable usage of printing by our students, faculty, and staff.
Having the oversight to see problems before they are reported by users also allows us to keep our machines up and running much more efficiently.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

The only downside is the logging in process for users when they have an older card. It is truly a "user error," but they complain about the typing process on the screens of the MFP.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PaperCut allows us to limit student usage and also provide our staff with a reson not to simply "hit print" each and everytime the opportunity presents itself. It has created good behavior accross the board for our community.

  ### 30. Powerful tool for management of copy / print / scan / etc.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

Flexible
The software offers a wide range of options for print queues, which can be further extended with scripting to encourage / enforce company mandated practices.
Compatible
Our fleet of printers has included a varierty of devices over the years, from a number of different vendors. PaperCut has handled our mixed fleet without issues.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Price
I can't comment on how the pricing compares to competitor offerings, as it was provided to us as part of the overall MPS package from our service provider. The price component of the contract relating to the software license and support, however, is not insignificant.
Reporting
The reporting / logging engine doesn't track whether prints are duplex or simplex, meaning that tracking usage separately for sides vs. physical pages requires you to make an assumption of what proportion of prints are simplex vs. duplex, meaning that the figures cannot be 100% accurate. This isn't an issue for our use case, but for those who do need this level of tracking, it could present a problem.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking of print device utilisation:
We use PaperCut to track utilisation of devices, and bill our various internal departments accordingly.
Encouragement / enforcement of company-mandated usage practices:
We use a combination of queue parameters and scripting to encourage / enforce practices such as promoting the use of duplex, use of monochrome where colour isn't necessary, and prioritisation of higher duty cycle devices for larger jobs. We are an educational establishment, so we also use permissions to force an authorisation pipeline for pupil print jobs (i.e. a staff member has to approve the print job before it actually prints, reducing consumable wastage.

  ### 31. The tool that focuses on print management tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aprajita S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

It is a print management tool that adapts perfectly to any scenario as it has a support interface that allows you to keep in sight of any company, Papercut has several qualities that include reducing costs and expenses in the copy department and stationery in addition to link easily with multiple printers as well as perfoms workflow analysis in monitoring devices in order to achieve an effective support based on cloud-based stationery and support offered with BOYD is the best in the industry.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Among the functions that I dislike about Parpercut is the lack of customization it has for sorting and accounting, if they efficiently update the customization of the templates, the tool would be the most powerful in the market.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly it has been a great help to reduce expenses in print management as well as it has helped us to sort and classify the connected devices but most importantly it has solved the remote print management.

  ### 32. A Fantabuluos and Mastermind behind effective Printing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joanna K. | Director of Accounting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

I like PaperCut features ,it's easy to use .I'm amazed how I can be anywhere and be able to print a document to the printer in our office. This tool works flawless on all our devices .Easy to get reports on the usage of printing this helps alot to minimise wastage of papers. Not forgetting how it offer confidential and secure printing in a way that one is able to print a document that contain personal or confidential information without have a linkage of information to anyone.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

There hasn't been any cons for me ,the tool is superbly good.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a centralised efficient reliable model for printing is really a blessing to us ,we longer need to purchase new printers now and then like we used to do before .Ability to view history of print work gives us accurate reports.

  ### 33. Ease of Use, Providing Oversight without Micromanagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

PaperCut integrates with several platforms, providing IT admins little to no work with adding users. It also allows oversight by seamlessly sending automated, scheduled reports. These reports provide organizational admins oversight to see where to put more resources in helping mitigate print usage where possible and integrating more digital resources.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

The only negative I can think of is having more detailed reports on specific print jobs i.e. user print jobs including titles of documents.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had users printing reams of paper at a time. We also had printers that were jamming so users would TCP/IP print to a different printer to complete their job and when the jammed printer was fixed, their job would come through, doubling up in print jobs and therefore, cost. PaperCut prevents users from doing multiple jobs and provides organizations oversight without being too micromanaging.

  ### 34. Cleaned Up Printing Issues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

We switched to Papercut from Printlogic so that we could establish printing codes and monitor printing usage for staff with Macs. We had months of issues prior to switching to Papercut, and we have experienced no issues since the switch!

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

I think the only negatives that I see stem from the struggle that our outside copier vendor sees when they come to repair the machines, but we are all adjusting and figuring out what to do. I think this is a temporary issue and will not last very long.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can now monitor print usage for each use with print codes. This was a struggle due to our staff using Macs. We had disruptions in printing and continuous printing errors for months prior to switching to Papercut. Since switching to Papercut, we have had no issues at all!

  ### 35. Excellent platform for keeping costs in line

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfred K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

It is a tool that is responsible for effectively managing the printing system of any type of company where simplify printing functions and at the same time maintains financial control so that printing costs do not go beyond the standards of profitability, it is also a platform that facilitates priting and monitors operations leaving a record of each of the operations that are printed.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

So far we have not had any problem with implementation of this platform being the main tool that manages our printing system.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before having PaperCut as our tracking tool for priting operations, we had a large deficit in priting expenses because unnecessary printing was printing was being done and we were losing documentations because there were no previous records, but in this platform everything is much simpler plus it has a technical support that is active for any problem that arises in the printing process.

  ### 36. It saves time and money and helps the environment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** laila l. | Sales and marketing specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

The ease with which it organizes the printing system of the company, is gentle with the environment and with a cost according to the expectations of the company, and in turn protects the data from unauthorized personnel, provides a report of the use of printers during the month in order to know the monetary expenditure of the company

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

The interface lacks customization tools, and the technical support is not the most qualified. In my experience, I have not been given adequate answers to the problems encountered

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through monthly reports, we obtain specific data on the monetary investment, which has significantly improved our financial structure. The data is constantly protected as it restricts access to unauthorized persons, which gives us the security required for users. Besides being gentle with the environment, PaperCut has been the best acquisition for its excellent functionality and price

  ### 37. The future of Printing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abrar H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

The best part of Papercut is the accessibility, the freedom from the spatial limitations. The feature of having accessibilty from the machine itself as well as the website, the summary of printings, an added tier for cancellation of accidental or duplicate printings. It supports my heavy usage of the system. It provides an integrated and tailored printing approach. The strong support and FAQs is quite helpful too.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

I am quite new to the system and it is sometimes overwhelming with all the features and (also more ID/passwords to remember).

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the future of network printing with printing portability within the organization. It is greatly helpful for printing at distant locations with ease, rather than to print and carry them to locations. Also, helping with accidental prints and corrections with additional layer of protection.

  ### 38. Best available for education

Excellent product that delivers everything we need in a print management system, designed for education, supports scripting for advanced scenarios. Excellent customer support that often goes above and beyond when looking for a solution to issues.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Have had to write some middleware to acomplish tasks we would like to see in the core product - but the fact we can write that middleware is a plus.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing printing in education environment, ensuring that staff departmental budgets are charged.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** adrian C. | Instructional Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

the loss and theft of confidential data is becoming more and more common, and that is why you must have a platform as safe and reliable as PaperCut, since with it you will find the solution that your company needs to protect and safeguard all the documents you print.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

I would like PaperCut to implement customer support that is much more focused on the needs and preferences of each user, it is very good, but it can be better.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

using the tools and solutions in this software has given me the ability to secure and protect my company's digital data, control access to all printing devices, and better manage my workload.

**Official Response from Alistair Nestor:**

> Hi Adrian, thanks so much for your feedback. Would love to hear more on your thoughts about providing focused support for each user. If you fancy, drop us a line at customer.experience@papercut.com and we can chat!

  ### 42. Papercut makes printing LESS of a headache!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

Papercut is a great centralized print management software. It's easy to install and get running, customer support is great, and allows not only print queue management but user controls and reporting. It's super easy to get together a report to show to management about print usage statistics.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Running Papercut on a Windows server seems to favor Windows clients over Mac. It's very easy for a Windows user to browse to the Papercut "share", see all the print queues, double-click one and it installs. Mac users have to know the correct syntax to manually add an LPD printer, which generally means a call/email to your helpdesk. Print Deploy fixes this somewhat but there are times that users don't want additional software installed on their computer just to add a printer or two.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Papercut allows us to easily manage our fleet of print queues plus gives us insight into how our users are printing and charge them accordingly. Prior to Papercut we would have idea idea if a user was abusing their print privileges unless we were taking reams of paper to a certain printer(s) more frequently than usual.

  ### 43. Reliable product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

PaperCut software helps businesses manage and control printing to reduce costs and environmental impact. It offers features like quotas, secure printing, and detailed tracking to encourage responsible printing habits, while also supporting flexible printing environments and providing options for cost recovery.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Despite its strengths in print management, PaperCut can be complex to set up, especially for smaller IT teams. It also relies heavily on internet connectivity, potentially causing disruptions. Users might find it less user-friendly compared to simpler printing methods, and the paid software might have more affordable alternatives available.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PaperCut saves you money and helps the environment by giving you control over printing habits and workflows.

  ### 44. Easy to use - very user-friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

It's very easy to manage, you have lot's of help with information on papercut website.
The implementation is fast and the software is reliable.
It has lot of integrations and customisation.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

I would like Papercut to continue to evolve with more features.
One would be the possibility to print and save in Find-Me printing, the document is printed but if the user want's the document continue in queue.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Print anywhere from any device.
Control acess, cost management

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

REsolves the print nightmare issue and allows us to deploy to all clients without Admn creds.

**Official Response from Alistair Nestor:**

> Ahh PrintNightmare, what a pain. So glad we could help.

  ### 46. Organize, save costs on all the printing necessary for your company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faizan N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

It has given me good impressions in the printing and photocopying options, it allows managing all the paper and costs that are spent in the company, fully compatible with macOS, Windows, Linux, we have had the opportunity to implement it in all these operating systems, each print request is handled by the network is really organized showing the cost per print of each sheet. It has a simple customization interface is easy to navigate and configure, prints can be organized by departments and folders.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Sometimes the printing gets stuck when they have already charged you money, the integrations with Google Drive and Onedrive work fine, but they should add more options to integrate with PaperCut. I have forwarded some complaints to the support team, many times they ignore the problems, which causes me a lot of annoyance.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company use PaperCut for simple departmental document printing, and we adopted the program because it seemed like a cost-effective and automated way to print all the documents we need. We liked the prospect of getting a monthly count of all the company's printing, improving our services and saving more money in the process. Another important point to hire PaperCut's services was to waste as little paper as possible, we are conscious of the environmental impact, and we like to benefit the environment.

  ### 47. PaperCut simplifies the process in print management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alvin S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

It is a print management platform, which is quite curious to have an application of this category, but nevertheless it is a more useful tool than it seems in this case with PaperCut you can have a printing system quite advanced administrative level and from any device and from any device with access to the web within the company as it has multiple features that simplify the printing process apart that generates with the main application for data storage as Google Drive and Dropox, It is also important that being such a simple tool to manage priting, it has an online technical support that is a great and easy to undestand to improve the management of the platform

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

The interface should be improved a little more, as I believe it lacks more information to attract customers to obtain the great service provided by this platform.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool has been very useful to me since our functions with most of our customers are through video conference via remote platforms and PaperCut facilitates the collection of information as it is stored automatically in and then proceeds to print the data acquired and authorized within each meeting that is established online.

  ### 48. Organizer of your company's printing system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dipesh P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

The tool panel is easy to access and understand, features an intuitive interface, is cloud-based, so data is easily accessible without compromising data security, and is kind to the environment

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

The technical support team is slow to respond and does not provide adequate solutions, lacks tools to customize the interface

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We implemented PaperCut because it is kind to the environment, it provides security in our database as it restricts access to unauthorized persons, it automated the printing process in the company allowing us to print from any device, it provides information on the status of the printing process, since we use PaperCut there is evidence of savings in the printing process

  ### 49. Save on printing and improve the environment.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tak S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2024

**What do you like best about PaperCut?**

The printing service is very user-friendly, cost saving and easy to develop with accurate and decentralized reporting, print jobs can be divided by department, documents are loaded, saved and printed, the environment is grateful that programs like these are being well integrated into companies. Black-and-white printing is the best way to save money, and you don't waste paper in the process. The management of the money charged for printing is handled very well you can connect to all the printers in the company and perform analysis and reports of everything that has been done throughout the month, the interface is easy to understand does not have many more complications, the use and installation are easy to perform and manage, you can print on multiple devices.

**What do you dislike about PaperCut?**

Poor integrations need to improve compatibility with other services and have more reach, a little unintuitive support service with few solutions to the failures that present the prints in some of the cases, such as when they are slow or the documents get stuck. Everything is handled by servers, if there is no good connection, the printouts become slow and have to be restarted.

**What problems is PaperCut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We implemented the Papercut printing service because they are very secure, everything is encrypted at all times and besides this is very beneficial for the environment, we saved a lot of money since we decided to implement this service, saving on staff and offices has brought lower operating expenses to complete corporate functions, we no longer waste paper in our company Papercut was the solution.
