## Pantheon Reviews
  ### 1. Great for what it does

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory F. | Owner, Software Engineer, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

WordPress integration
Multi-dev support
No dev-ops
Security (no need for a lot of plugins like WordFence)
Free SSL

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

It's a bit limiting that you can only have 'master' deploy to dev and test. This is mitigated with "multidevs"

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

You can try it out for free. Check out their "platform consideration" page (google it). It contains a number of hurdles that are common with their platform.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eCommerce as well as branded websites using WordPress and Drupal.

  ### 2. I enjoy pantheon a lot.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

The dev environment along with the sftp/git hybrid. Also, free https is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

The support that comes from the Philippines. There a guy that, if I get him, I don't feel like he ever understands what my issues are. Also, I understand the price increases, but they way they were rolled out was super confusing and unnecessarily stressful.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

If you go through an agency, this is your best bet.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As far as "business problems", I think the biggest thing is the ability to do https. Most of the solutions our customers are looking for are basic and honestly could be done at any other host... though your my favorite at the moment.

  ### 3. One click solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Senior Frontend Engineer, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Their web interface makes working with multiple sites and multiple environments a breeze. The one click dev environment has become a pivotal part of our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

A more integrated CI approach. There are options with their API, but a full solution has to be built on the user side.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am building website for a plethora of customers. Using Pantheon takes the Dev Ops out of my work cycle and automates much of it.

  ### 4. Safe and robust environment for any type of developers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vladimir M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Automatization of deployments, separate environments, git and sftp access, terminal tools

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Any custom coding eg. submodule in root directory (or eg. executing Drupal from subdir) is not possible or very hard to do. This causes us problem with decoupled installations where we have static frontend and serve Drupal from subdirectory

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very pleasant that you can start many dev projects and just hand off to clients to pay and take over production environment

  ### 5. Great Hosting + AMAZING Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

When testing Pantheon against competitors like WP Engine, Flywheel and Digital Ocean Pantheon came out on average about 15% faster than each. This is great but what really made my experience with Pantheon shine is the insanely quick customer service I had access to via chat.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

The only downside to Pantheon is something you tend to get with any advanced cloud hosting platform in which some plugins and themes just won't be compatible. For custom websites though this is a no-brainer solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Try out their free sandbox site first, its super easy and will convince you to be a customer.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pantheon allowed us git version control while still allowing SFTP access.

  ### 6. Reliable Cloud Hosting + Amazing Customer Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Other than it being lightning quick hosting, efficient in spooling up a new WordPress environment for our developers, I'd say Pantheon's team has been some of the most personal, insightful and caring customer service teams I've dealt with.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Nothing really, price is a little high, but well worth every penny.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Top tier product and service! You won't be disappointed.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pantheon provides secure, always-on hosting, which solves the peace-of-mind for clients and our devs.

  ### 7. Pantheon: The fastest, most efficient, secure hosting platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob W. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

The developer tools and multiple environments

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Sometimes when you migrate a large site, you're unable to commit the files immediately after migration. This is a big problem that I feel should be resolved by increasing the git commit timeout period - or removing altogether.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

If you're looking for speed, security, less maintenance overall, and time savings, Pantheon is for you.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency in deployments, ability to perform testing in deployments, overall time savings

  ### 8. Fantastic enterprise platform for popular CMS platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason C. | Practice Manager and Senior Analyst, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Love the multiple environments and the GIT integration, great support, and ease of administration from the control panel.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Not much; haven't had too many hitches rolling out multiple clients for web hosting on this platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Highly recommended for users with multiple sites, enterprise-level requirements for their Wordpress and Drupal websites.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Robust hosting for large clients with complex websites, but still retaining the ease of use of Wordpress and Drupal for development.

  ### 9. Pantheon is the best for multi-enviornment development for wordpress sites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex Y. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I love that Pantheon gives you the ability to have multiple environments (dev, test, and live) as well as mult-dev branch environments as well.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I wish that they gave you a little more access to the filesystem. Having every directory locked down except for the uploads directory can be troublesome. Also, the switch to Google Cloud from AWS has drastically increased the TTFB. That is a huge "dislike".

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Git/automatic deployment.

  ### 10. Awesome PAAS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

It's a very stable platform as a service solution. Very good support, excellent documentation. Nice people when talking to them in support or Slack. In summary, they're great!

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Some things are not so easily customizable but that's ok because that's necessary to make a great platform! Ex. Solr config files.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Analyze the tool. If it fits to your needs, go with it!

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DeHosting
Performance monitoring
Great development workflow

  ### 11. One of the best hosting companies we've used.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leisy V. | Diagram creation made easy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon is so streamlined and has so many tutorials and education sessions. I love the notifications for education sessions and how well the Pantheon interface is set up and organized.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I wish there was a better getting started guide for non-tech company members to orient themselves with hosting workflows and different staging environments.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up a multisite on Pantheon is more difficult than our company thought it would be.

  ### 12. pantheon is great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

one click deploys, integration with lando, drupal core updates, drops 7,8, one click add ons, lots of articles and tutorials on set up, what's not to like!

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

so far nothing, honestly. i'm not well versed in drupal hosting and deployment, best practices, so pantheon has been teaching me a lot

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

pantheon is an affordable, easy to use, easy to learn option, especially if you have limited devops resources. i've been able to focus on developing my sites and applications without having to be too concerned about implementing continuous integration, monitoring, etc.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i don't currently have any devops resources, so pantheon was a no brainer for me

  ### 13. Great platform for quick dev setup and management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DOUGLAS S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

The ease of use when it comes to the Git setup and the one-click setup to go from Dev to Test to Live make devving a lot less verbose.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

The fact that databases don't copy down, so if using a page builder or something you can't easily pull that down from live to dev.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time is a major benefit, and I've realized that it's great for streamlining.

  ### 14. Quality services and support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy W. | Director, Strategic Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon provides a level of confidence with site security that I haven't seen with other hosters.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

The learning curve was a bit higher to feel comfortable in the platform, but the support staff is very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

If you have a site that has decent traffic and you want to feel secure in it's capability for speed and security, i recommend Pantheon.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster websites, less security issues

  ### 15. Great platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria T. | Líder Técnico de Proyectos, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon it's a great platform to support Drupal and Wordpress environments, I use Drupal mora than a year, and I very happy with the services. Great Job

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I don't like the time spent on framework installation

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a organization project live in pantheon, and i like the performance of the site. I like the 3 environments for each project and the easy work between

  ### 16. Pantheon is your best option for enterprise Drupal hosting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel D. | Drupal Designer and Developer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Flexibility and outstanding UI, detailed help and tutorials, Upstream. Compared to Acquia, it's a breath of fresh air. There's no hard upsell at every turn and Pantheon is genuinely interest in a customer's success.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

None. Pantheon is fantastic. I recommend it to other developers all the time for Drupal hosting.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Switch now!

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The implementation of multidev environments and team collaboration is much smoother and comprehensive.

  ### 17. Excellent service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shane S. | Web Developer, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2016

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

With Pantheon, I know what I'm getting into; I can ramp up a project in minutes, and I can expect very little roadblocks with the platform along the way. And when I do run into issues, their support staff is quickly there to address them.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Would love a more affordable professional plan.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project startup and management costs. I work a lot faster on Pantheon.

  ### 18. Neat service and would recommend for high end clients

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon A. | Associate Designer, Computer Games, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Version control using git. Also the dev and test environment make it nice to test without launching a change.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Confusion of database issues from live to dev and dev to live. Confusion of how well wysiwyg builders in WordPress would function.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m mostly using pantheon as a designer for a client. They are using it for version control and potential speed or volume protection.

  ### 19. Fantastic Hosting Provider for WordPress

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob W. | Account Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I love the containerized structure that really creates a secure environment for hosting a platform like WordPress more stable. So many other hosts out there don't prioritize security like Pantheon, and our clients have yet to have a breach or any sustained downtime.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I wish they offered more to their partners who send them clients regularly. We include Pantheon hosting in our pitches, and host almost all of our client sites with Pantheon.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a reliable partner in Pantheon for WordPress hosting that is super fast and secure. We've experienced a lot less from a lot of other hosts.

  ### 20. Solid, easy to use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon is straightforward and their customer service is great.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

File size limit can be frustrating as we have to use certain files for projects that have to be of a certain quality

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to recommend a consistently strong hosting solution to all of our clients. With little to no experience, our clients typically can navigate the Pantheon dashboard with ease.

  ### 21. Reliable and safe hosting, my go to host

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miro Z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I never doubt the security of my site. Also love that its a fully integrated solution. As a developer, it has git, branching, environments, etc... all in one package available to me. No more wasting countless hours setting up stuff, its all there out of the box.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

The url rewriting during a sync between environments is wonky

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Cant emphasize enough, Pantheon has a bunch of the tools built in

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have setup sandbox websites within pantheon. Very easy for us to spin up sites. We can have a fully functioning prototype for a site spun up in a 1/2 day

  ### 22. Unlike any web hosting provider I have used before

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I'm a huge fan of the development workflows on Pantheon. The separate dev, test and live environments make it easy to do updates or add new features without messing with a live site.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I dislike the limitations on subdomains. Also, Pantheon is a little more expensive than other providers, but I think it's worth it.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Free to try, so go for it! Read the documentation first to make your experience better. It's actually really well explained.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The dev/test environments are a huge help when I need to add new features and get approval from colleagues before making them live.

  ### 23. Great service and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Support and service. The dashboard is easy to use

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Price, is too expensive. Blue Host charges per year what pantheon charges per month. But, you do get what you pay for

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Python environment would be great. I would switch all of our assets here if that were possible

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Performance, security, dev tools, but most of all support. Support has been responsive.

  ### 24. UI makes everything easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Deploying to multiple environments are as easy as clicking a button. I also like the multi-dev option as well.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Pantheon does send out a lot of emails that are sometimes unnecessary - the sales people can sometimes be a little pushy too.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using the multi-dev environments to create easy and fast sale demos to promote one of our products.

  ### 25. Amazing Drupal optimized-hosting platform at a great price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

The multi-dev workflow that Pantheon offers is amazing and has increased the overall productivity of our team.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

The dashboard could use a little work. It experiences minor issues here and there, but I guess if it's gonna have it issues the administrative dashboard is the place to have them versus servers/customer sites.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were running our own Drupal stack and it was expensive and required a ton of time to manage it -- moving to Pantheon freed up this time and allowed us to work on development and enhance user-experience and get out of the Sys. Admin stuff.

  ### 26. Consistently impressed and Quarterly performance reviews are a Plus

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristi H. | Corporate Webmaster, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

The ability to separate repo maintenance from dedicated site development
Quarterly site reviews, New Relic integration
Hassle-squashing Global CDN package inclusion
Enterprise Onboarding support

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

At times ticket support has been sluggish for some of my business colleagues within our Org needing help

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Know your current developers' long-term CMS plans

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meeting the need to centralize management of our global site instances

  ### 27. Finally, a solid WordPress host

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon is extremely fast, which is great since that's something WordPress struggles with out of the box. They have a solid infrastructure, great developer tools, and helpful support.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Being locked into the development -> staging -> live work cycle is a little much for smaller projects

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Understand their workflow and make it work for you.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offloading our hosting and maintenance to a solid platform was a big goal for us. We had used a competitor in the past but found it slow, with limited tools, and less than knowledgable support. Those issues have been resolved with Pantheon.

  ### 28. Makes it easy for web developers to create, deploy and manage multiple sites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Independent web developers often have to be jack's of all trades. Standardizing on Pantheon enables a developer to focus on the development tasks and not all of the ancillary stuff that often goes with that. Getting all of your clients on one managed platform also makes it easier to service different clients since the platform stays the same. I also love how easy it is to have the client pay for the site so I don't have to deal with billing.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I have no major dislikes to be honest.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Do it

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pantheon puts a workflow around developing Drupal sites and dealing with the migration of content and code separately. This is really helpful for these types of sites. They also handle all of the Drupal core update and make things like backup/restore a breeze.

  ### 29. It's a really easy way to deploy a new site.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Not having to manage the server myself. It takes less administration to use Pantheon than spinning up an AWS instance.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Some of the limitations are a little bit of a downer. Max PHP memory and the like.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

If you need a simple site and you don't want to manage the infrastructure Pantheon is a good choice.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed of deployment.

  ### 30. We use Pantheon because it's easier than hosting ourselves.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I like that it's easy to spin up and I don't need to worry about maintaining the server.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I don't like that I can't use Github EASILY with Pantheon. Pantheon's git interface is not really something and it shouldn't be. Give us a way to push to Github and autodeploy to Pantheon. It's the only thing keeping Pantheon from not being our perfect Drupal / Wordpress hosting tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

If you host Drupal sites you should be using Pantheon.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We host client websites (when necessary) but we don't want to play sysadmin. Pantheon let's us do that.

  ### 31. Pantheon is an awesome service...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheena D. | AEM Web Content Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I love the the fact that the platform is so user friendly and allows for multiple installs of both drupal and wordpress. I especially like the ability to have a dev/test and prod environment

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Can't think of one thing that I dislike about this product

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily transfer the site to a client once finished

  ### 32. Making Agile Development Hassle Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin L. | Managing Partner & Strategic Creative Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Having multiple environments all based on GIT make it easy to work with our internal team and external partners.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

In the cases where SFTP need to be used, the switching back and forth makes it a bit redundant.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Just implement it. You won’t regret it.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing our efforts and preventing overwrites and conflicts between developers and designers.

  ### 33. The ease of pantheon has been amazing!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon A. | Chief Technology Officer, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

The one-click feature is amazing! I'm able to install wordpress extremely quickly.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

No cloning. I wish there was an option to set up your Wordpress site with the ability to select which themes/plugins you want installed.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Add an option to select which plugins/themes are installed during the Wordpress installation.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of setting up a dev environment instantly

  ### 34. Pantheon is a great hosting platform!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I love Pantheon, and have been very pleased with them. The GUI that quickly lets you manage each environment is easy to use, and the multi-dev concept is something that I love to use while developing new features. They also have a great support staff.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

There's really not much to dislike. Occasionally, the multi-dev service is not available, but the down-time is extremely minimal.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes updating CMSs a breeze, while allowing for a solid separation of environments. That means that new features and updates can be tested thoroughly before making it into production.

  ### 35. I'm in Pantheon everyday

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric M. | Drupal Developer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

This is a robust, stable platform for my Drupal and Wordpress sites. The Terminus command line tool is a great benefit for developing and managing the sites.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I miss the .htaccess file for setting hard redirects from old pages.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Take a look at the multidev environment, and terminus.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Development is greatly enhanced with the multidev tool.

  ### 36. Pantheon products and service is second to none.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele B. | WordPress Technical Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I love the option to have up to 10 multi-dev environments when I am working on different aspects of the site. It makes sure I never break one component changing another.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Sometimes the syncs stick and have to restart them.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Try it! You will not be disappointed.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My biggest benefit is the uptime of my blog.

  ### 37. Great company, tech-savvy & customer focused

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon is staffed by some very smart people, and their customer-service is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Nothing really at this point. We're planning on consolidating further sites on to Pantheon.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Great company to work with. Web hosting has a lot of nuances including how developers deploy code. You need an environment that is easy to use & secure: Pantheon provides this as a service, as opposed to a more "do-it-yourself" with your internal severs or Rackspace.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're attempting to consolidate all our websites (English & international) on one hosting platform, preferably all of them on WordPress.

  ### 38. Pantheon is a

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Integrated git and sftp support, multi-dev environments, and easy management tools and dashboard are a breeze to work with.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

not really a dislike, but the upstream code vs downstream content took a little bit of getting used to; but once we did, it's a great feature to make sure you aren't breaking/overwriting anything on the live environment.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Definitely worth giving a try for companies with large numbers of managed sites

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to provide our clients amazing hosting and CMS management, and Patheon helped us to unify/standardize our workflow across all sites

  ### 39. I am Drupal developer and use Pantheon

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lev A. | Senior Web Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I like the build-in performance, the Status page and multidev possibility.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I like almost everything, probably price can be lower. And also bring back New Relic to Basic plans.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

If you are going to work on the site improvements and not on hosting choose it.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it for building and hosting Drupal sites.

  ### 40. Great Drupal Hosting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

I love how easy it is to get up and running with a new website. It took me 5 minutes to create a dev site, and it was free. Yes, you do have to pay to go live, but for $35/month, that's not a bad deal.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Getting a hold of customer service can be a challenge, and many of their service links don't work.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working for a place that has no IT department and therefore no hosting available, Pantheon has been a lifesaver. Having dev, test and live environments is crucial.

  ### 41. The are amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Stability, Support, Ease of use. And the built-in dev and test servers.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

I wish they offered email server like other cheaper hosts. I also wish I could add multiple websites to one account or at least get a discount for hosting multiple sites.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

It's worth it. Invest in your security, performance and security.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's just a great host for the reasons I said above and I an could not do business as well without them. The dev and test environment are the best benefit which allows for smoother development and troubleshooting

  ### 42. A Developers Sandbox

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon is made for developers. Every feature is made for a developer to best make a site and maintain / manage that site for their client(s).

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

It is made for large sites. For smaller developers or those just getting started it might be too much.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

If you're a developer or if you want to hire a developer to build your site for you Pantheon is absolutely fantastic. They are made to make your developers as speedy as possible.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting for your WordPress (or Drupal) website. They're reliable and have amazing workflows.

  ### 43. Simple, Clean Wordpress Environments & Deployments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | Dev Lead, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

How quickly I can spin up a completely separate environment.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

It would be great if the `wp_options` updated to the new site URL - but that is pretty quick & easy to change.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a "set-it-and-forget-it" solution. I have all the environments I need, without worrying about uptime on my production environment.

  ### 44. Solid performance that iforcea beat practices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon hosting has been pretty solid. The platform forces developers to follow best practices with Dev, Test and Live environments.

The containers tend to run smoothly and efficiently most of the time.

Included https hosting on all levels is great.

New relic integration proves valuable for pinpointing performance issues.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

The workflow has been confusing for some contractors I have been paired with.

Many times workflow error messages are not very explanative. Support via chat is usually helpful but more descriptive error message would help.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Web hosting with best practice workflow

  ### 45. Does everything you need a host to do.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex M. | Drupal Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

On-demand developer environments (multidevs is their terminology)
Dedicated dev/test/live environments
Automated backups
Plethora of documentation

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Solr support is lacking
With the recent prices changes, 'horsepower' on the dev/test/multidev environments seems to of taken a big hit even for clients in the professional tier. This is only an inconvenience for the developers and has no real impact on our clients.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Web hosting for clients sites.
Benefits of using this platform as opposed to others, from a developers perspective, is the usage of on-demand environments for quickly testing out new features/fixes.

  ### 46. Review title

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Deploying code from development to testing to production is very intuitive. I also like the system-wide Drupal updates you provide.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

We were having issues with core Drupal contact form submissions being received. In a chat with tech support, I was told "Our platform is not reliable in sending emails" and was directed to third-party email services.

Also, when I visit <a href="http://pantheonsite.io/">http://pantheonsite.io/</a>, I have to click log in. It would be great if I was automatically redirected to my dashboard if already logged in.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Development environment and hosting client sites.

  ### 47. Great hosting platform and customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon offers us significant increases in efficiency with tools like Terminus. We are able to cut out significant dev ops time because of these tools.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Payment system seems to be buggy, we have had a few clients complain that they aren't able to use payment invites and we often need to resend invitations.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Do it.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We migrated to Pantheon from legacy hosting, which was a billing nightmare. Billing clients individually for hosting, was a massive lift for AP, which was solved by billing clients directly through Pantheon.

  ### 48. Pantheon Review - Not sure why I am titling my own review. You asked me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2016

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Pantheon allows our team to work more efficiently. The workflow tools are great so from kicking the project off to going live, things work smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Clients that don't get the importance of good hosting. Yes, you can host on crappy cheap stuff, but it comes at a cost that you might not see right away. But some day, you will pay.

**Recommendations to others considering Pantheon:**

Pantheon and Lando save us a ton of time and time is money. Don't be stupid. Host with Pantheon.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves time so we make more money.

  ### 49. Awesome platfrom, sometimes unreliable connectivity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

Ease of adding sites, users, domains, multi-devs and workflows.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

No comment/note ability on backups (it's only another record in the database), no real workarounds for merging data/code from a multidev to a live site when the client has done a bunch of updates on the live site while we have worked for a month or two on a multidev version of the site. Connectivity/Performance issues happen regularly.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting many sites, deploying them quickly and maintaining them. Benefits us greatly to have all of this in one place.

  ### 50. Best WordPress hosting, hands down.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Pantheon?**

The system is blazing fast and the git style processes make editing and testing sites a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Pantheon?**

Sometimes the nature of the filesystem creates issues for popular plugins.

Also the mobile site has no login button.

**What problems is Pantheon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our VIP clients end up on our Pantheon account and it always satisfies.
