We are trialing the Access AI functionality and we don’t believe it is quite there yet for us to use with students. I have used Panopto for recorded lectures at the University of Liverpool and appreciate being able to easily rewatch lectures, which is particularly helpful for recapping later in the semester. The REST API needs to be expanded extensively to cover larger functionality. Better integration with our systems is desperately needed. In these years, Panopto has always proven to be very reliable: we have never experienced any service disruptions, and when a small problem arose, it was resolved effectively and immediately. The support staff has also always been knowledgeable and has collaborated in a concrete and timely manner. Panopto provides a one-stop solution for the myriad of videos at our organization. What I like best about Panopto is how easy it makes recording and organizing videos. You can hit record, talk through your slides or screen, and it automatically uploads and sorts everything for you. The main thing I dislike about Panopto is that it can feel slow and clunky sometimes. Uploading or processing videos can take longer than you’d expect, and the editing tools aren’t as smooth or intuitive as other platforms.
