Panaya has been an indespensible tool for us when upgrading SAP. We do use it occasionally for other testing, but it is primarily an upgrade project tool used to reduce effort, time, and risk, which is does very well. It is easy to use and administer. The challenge when testing a software, regardless its complexity, is always the tests cascade. Panaya Smart Testing is a smart tool to manage multiple defects/assignments at one go. Apart from a very clear visibility and process work flow, I like the freedom which we get in terms of adding attachments, tagging specific people and the amazing filters which makes it much easier to track specific objects. It is helping our project in predicting the impact of changes by providing a better understanding of how changes affect different parts of our system, hence reducing risk of a larger issue going unnoticed.

I am not an end user of Panaya SMart Testing and Change Intelligence but as an Administrator (a test creator), I appreciate how easy it is to load the testing files in Panaya.

I think the synthesis view/charts of the Project progress / status is also really usefull for the project managers.

The fact that there are so many fields not used (that cannot be hidden) displayed in the test part.

What do you like best about Panaya Smart Testing and Change Intelligence?

With the right approach, wherein more emphasis is given on planning a given task/test, Panaya exponentially reduces time and effort during execution. For me, planning phase involves script creation/correction, dataset preparation and covering other necessary pre-requisites for a given test case. Panaya also offers the Run & Document functionality - to capture additional relevant evidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Panaya Smart Testing and Change Intelligence?

Panaya does fall short in covering the ERES requirements (from EU Annex 11, USFDA, etc.) to accomodate multiple authors, reviewers, testers, approvers for a given test case. Test scenarios do involve multiple stakeholders - Developer/Author, Tester, Reviewer, QA, etc. And for timestamp in generated evidence.

There are few scripting implementations related to SAP GUI in case of custom developed programs in SAP.

Detailed documentation / training for technical individuals / developers (i.e., SAP ABAPers) would really help organizations using SAP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Panaya's automation (i.e., quick run) considerably reduces the time and effort required for capturing and documenting evidence. For regulated industries, which are periodically audited (e.g., Pharmaceutical), documentation requires a lot of time and effort.
