What I dislike about Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW is that while it's powerful, the initial setup and configuration can be a bit challenging, especially for users who aren't already familiar with Palo Alto’s ecosystem. Additionally, the pricing model can become quite expensive as your cloud environment scales, so it requires careful planning to avoid unexpected costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW?

While Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW is a robust and secure solution, it does come with a learning curve, especially for those new to the platform. That said, I found this to be a motivating challenge. I became genuinely curious as I started exploring it, and within just a couple of weeks, I could ramp up quickly using AI tools and good old Google. That hands-on learning journey deepened my appreciation for the platform’s capabilities and flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW Review"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW?

I really like the ease of integration with public cloud providers such as AWS and MS Azure.

We had a multi-cloud setup at a previous organisation and Palo Alto NGFW made our lives a lot easier.

It's deep threat protection is also something that I consider top notch and with advanced packet filtering, you wouldn't need to invest in a separate sniffing tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW?

It's really expensive.

Organisations have to weigh the pro's and cons of the expense and the ROI at a strategic level.

If the organisation has team expertise, then there are suite of applications that can be stitched together to create a holistic security setup for lower costs compared to this solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW?

PANW's NGFW(PAN-VM Series) especially powered by Prisma Access is quite a novel solution for securing workloads and connectivity needs across Branch offices, DC, CSPs and Internet endpoints. It ensures your enterprise security needs are met at scale for large user-base(your employees/your customers) through varied deployments of your app stack in todays world as business continues to evolve with their needs/deployments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW?

Deployment of the appliance-software in a cloud deployment is fairly complex especially with Availability in mind given appliances are stateful in nature when compared to a managed CSP offering. Also, the costs can run pretty high based on the package selection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
