It actually felt like “real” digital painting and not just random sketching. I spent few evenings just trying different brushes and playing with colors because everything looked very artistic. **What do you dislike about Painter?** After excitement disappeared, I realised how overwhelming it actually is for casual use. Too many tools, too many settings, too many menus everywhere. Sometimes I wanted to draw something simple and instead spent twenty minutes trying to understand why brush suddenly behaves differently. It started feeling more stressful than creative. **What problems is Painter solving and how is that benefiting you?** For somebody serious about digital art it probably gives huge amount of control and possibilities. But for me it mostly became one of those apps I open, admire for five minutes, then close because I’m already tired. ### 2. And the features provided by this software are very nice. I like the software very much. What I like the most is the poster effect you can do layer-wise and you can lock it so that if by mistake no change can happen at that layer. **What do you dislike about Painter?** The trial version of Corel Painter is too short. The duration is not enough to explore the features that the platform provides to the user. It is water color compatible. But some things can be improved. Like it has multiple bugs in terms of iverlaying.
