"Streamlined Incident Management, Powerful Alerts"
4/5
What do you like best about PagerDuty?

I like PagerDuty's reliable alerting and escalation capabilities. Notifications are delivered quickly through multiple channels, which ensures critical incidents are addressed without delay. The on-call scheduling is easy to manage, and the platform integrates well with monitoring and collaboration tools. This makes incident response more organized and efficient, improving team coordination and reducing the time taken to resolve service issues. It helps us maintain the reliability and availability of business-critical services by centralizing incident notifications, leading to faster response times and reduced downtime. The automation of alert escalations and the ability to integrate with existing monitoring and IT service management solutions brings all incident-related information together in one place, speeding up troubleshooting with less operational overhead. What do you dislike about PagerDuty?

While PagerDuty is effective for incident management, there are a few areas that could be improved. The initial configuration and policy setup can be complex for larger environments, and managing multiple escalation rules may require additional administrative effort. The reporting and dashboard customization could also be more flexible, and some advanced capabilities are only available in higher-tier plans, which can increase the overall cost. "Reliable Alerting, Seamless Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PagerDuty?

I really like PagerDuty's reliable and fast alerting system. Critical incidents reach the right on-call engineer immediately through multiple notification channels, which significantly reduces response times. The flexible escalation policies and easy on-call scheduling make the whole process smooth. I also appreciate its seamless integration with our monitoring and security tools, which enhances our overall efficiency. The mobile app is a great feature, allowing me to acknowledge and manage incidents even when I'm away from my workstation. Overall, PagerDuty makes incident management organized, efficient, and dependable, significantly improving our incident response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PagerDuty?

While PagerDuty is a solid incident management platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The user interface can feel a bit overwhelming, especially when managing complex incidents or configuring escalation policies. Customizing alert rules and schedules sometimes requires navigating multiple menus, which isn't always intuitive. Additionally, the pricing can be expensive for smaller teams, and some advanced features are only available in higher-tier plans. It would also be helpful to have more customizable reporting and analytics out of the box without requiring additional configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PagerDuty?

I like PagerDuty's reliable alerting system and easy on-call management, which ensures that critical incidents reach the right person quickly and makes it simple to coordinate responses during outages. I find that these features help us respond to incidents faster by making sure alerts reach the right person immediately. Additionally, the initial setup was fairly straightforward, with creating schedules, configuring alerts, and setting up escalation policies being easy thanks to the available documentation and guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PagerDuty?

One area for improvement is the user interface, which can sometimes feel a bit complicated for new users. It can take some time to understand and navigate all features effectively. I think the platform could be more intuitive for first-time users. Simplifying navigation, improving the layout of settings and configuration, and providing clearer onboarding guidance would make it easier to learn and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Powerful Tool for Incident Response"
5/5
What do you like best about PagerDuty?

What I like best about PagerDuty is how it helps teams respond to incidents quickly and stay organized during critical situations. The platform makes it easy to receive alerts, understand what needs attention, and coordinate with the right people. I especially appreciate the scheduling and on-call management features, which help ensure that responsibilities are clearly assigned and that alerts reach the appropriate team member. The mobile app is also convenient because it allows users to acknowledge and manage incidents from anywhere. Another strength is the visibility it provides into ongoing issues, making communication and collaboration more efficient during outages or service disruptions. The integrations with other tools help centralize workflows and reduce manual effort. Overall, PagerDuty helps improve operational reliability by streamlining incident response and reducing confusion during high-priority events. Its combination of alerting, automation, and team coordination features makes it a valuable tool for organizations that need dependable incident management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Alert Management, Needs UI Refinements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PagerDuty?

I like how PagerDuty helps make incident response faster and very organized, which reduces downtime for applications. I also appreciate that it alerts our team through multiple channels like phone calls, SMS, and emails, helping to filter out noisy, non-critical alerts and improving team collaboration. Additionally, the integration with Datadog for monitoring high latency or error spikes and with Microsoft Teams for enhanced team collaboration and communication is quite beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PagerDuty?

I would appreciate if the UI can be more intuitive and user friendly, especially with override rules setup. You cannot easily edit an existing override; you have to delete the override entirely and recreate it from scratch. Simple tasks like taking over a teammate's shift for a few hours can require a frustrating amount of clicking around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Alert Management with Seamless Integration"
3.5/5
What do you like best about PagerDuty?

I really appreciate how PagerDuty improves visibility and escalation management, making incident coordination much more organized. The on-call routing and notification workflows are helpful because they enable the right teams to respond faster, reducing the need for back-and-forth communication. I also like how well it integrates with our other operational and monitoring tools, centralizing alerts and streamlining our incident management process. This has been especially valuable for distributed teams managing multiple systems. Moreover, PagerDuty's platform is reliable, which is crucial for our operational needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PagerDuty?

One area that could improve is notification management. PagerDuty is powerful for alerting and escalations, but if workflows and rules are not configured carefully the volume of notifications can become slightly overwhelming, especially during busier operational periods. The interface also has a bit of a learning curve for newer team members. Once teams get used to it, navigation becomes more manageable, but the initial setup and workflow customization can feel more complex than expected. Reporting and dashboard customization could also be a little more flexible for teams that want simpler operational visibility without digging through multiple sections. "Easy-to-Use Urgent Agent Pings with a Great Mobile App"
4/5
What do you like best about PagerDuty?

Useful way to ping agents urgently for cases based on severity. UI in browser is easy to use.

Integrated mobile application is great for agents who are away from the office to keep up-to-date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PagerDuty?

Inability to modify the notification settings can be irritating.

Browser calendar can become clunky when a large number of agents are on the same roster.

Integration with Slack can break sometimes and leads to distrust of notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Alert Management, Needs Better Security"
3.5/5
What do you like best about PagerDuty?

I find PagerDuty very simple to use. The UI is quite big and friendly, making it easy to learn and navigate. You can move from one page to another effortlessly. For example, in the escalation policies page, you can see all the services associated with the escalation policy. The navigation is straightforward, allowing users to easily navigate to different user pages; everything can be done from one page to another seamlessly. The initial setup was also simple, with friendly and approachable assistance from the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PagerDuty?

The integration part with Jira can be improved. The password security of a page is weak. That can also be improved with a strong password policy, like allowing users to put symbols so that the password is more secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
