## PagerDuty Reviews
  ### 1. Best tool to handle blocker and urgent outages

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajinkya B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

PagerDuty is a powerful tool for IT operations that helps teams to manage incidents and alerts. It provides a centralized view of all incidents so that teams can quickly identify and respond to problems.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

The user interface can be a bit complex, and it can take some time to learn how to use it effectively. PagerDuty does not have a built-in ticketing system, so teams must use a third-party solution for this purpose.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PagerDuty provides a centralized view of all incidents so that teams can quickly identify and respond to problems. Also, It can be used to automate the alert management process, such as sending notifications to the appropriate team members and escalating alerts as needed.

  ### 2. Jeli is the future of Incident Analysis.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casey R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

Jeli's solution focuses on the human element. So many other solutions in this space focus on root cause analysis and other technical automations that fail to recognize that the necessary ingredient for a resilient system is people. Root cause analysis is at best a waste of time, because it enables hindsight bias to place blame on a technical accident. You can't prevent accidents. Focusing on the 'cause' of an accident is a waste of time, because you can't do anything about that. Instead using Jeli you can learn from the narratives of the people closest to the work, and you can use that to identify and fill in knowledge gaps distributed throughout the team. That is useful!

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

It isn't obvious how to get everyone to buy into the concept of using Jeli at first. If upper management isn't on board yet, then you need resources outside of Jeli to convince them of the approach.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning from incidents (LFI) so we can make our software more robust.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hi Casey-- We are so happy to hear you are enjoying your experience using Jeli.io for your incident management!

  ### 3. Jeli does exactly what we want

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

We used to write prep docs for incident retro and analysis by hand - Google Docs, spreadsheets, that kind of thing. Having Jeli support building a timeline from data we already have in Slack is _magical_ for making that easier, and we've also used Jeli mid-incident: "hey, hasn't this happened before? How'd we fix it last time?"

The jeli slackbot for running an incident also helps us keep to consistent IR practices, which is extremely valuable as our organization scales. It's lightweight and non-prescriptive, but we can use it to remind people how we do things on our team.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

No notes, really. There's room to grow the featureset - integrating with more tools, ACLs to protect data relating to sensitive incidents - but we've found it useful as-is. Training people to use it took a little doing, but wasn't super hard; incident management is an expert practice, and it makes sense that even a tool that makes that practice more accessible is going to require some prep and user education.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes it easy enough to analyze an incident that we do it more often - it used to require enough time and effort that we retro'd fewer of our incidents than we wanted. We've also used it to manage information streams for various audiences, particularly providing updates to non-eng stakeholders that appropriately summarize the ... chaos ... that often pops up in an active incident response.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hey Ian, we are so glad your team is enjoying Jeli! We have an exciting roadmap for the year-- stay tuned for more releases! :)

Improve the alert Segrigation in the incidents tab, Improve the integration with other SIEM solutions

  ### 5. Easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sasha C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

The UI is very intuitive and sleek. We love using Jeli for incident reviews! Being able to export incident messages straight from Slack into Jeli to create a timeline is very useful.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

There are a few features that would make Jeli even better, just as having the ability to collaborate on the meeting notes together. Otherwise, I don't dislike Jeli at all.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jeli is making it easier for us to conduct incident reviews and facilitate learnings/healthy discussions around incidents.

**Official Response from Rian van der Merwe:**

> Hi Sasha, thank you for taking the time to write us a review, we really appreciate it. We're happy to learn how much value you get not just from the Incident Response bot, but also from the analysis and reviews afterwards! As for meeting notes collaboration, that is something we hear quite a bit from customers so it's definitely on our radar!

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

PagerDuty's interface can be complex and overwhelming to new users. Plus, it can be expensive for small teams.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PagerDuty helps us quickly identify and resolve system incidents, ensuring minimum downtime and enhancing customer satisfaction

  ### 8. Jeli has made our incident management much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anais F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

We were looking for an incident management tool that fit our existing processes. We looked at competitors other tools seem to have a pretty high entry configuration cost. Jeli was incredibly easy to setup. It helped us meet the requirements we had around communication, ease of use and fit our existing processes. In addition, their customer support team has been outstanding! They are always available to help us, providing training and updates on new features.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

So far the only downside has been that it takes a while to input information about specific opportunities. You'll get what you put into it but I wish it was a little more automated.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps provide a consistent form of communicating about an incident. It creates our slack channels for each opportunity and provides a format to link documents and identify actors.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hi Anais-- thank you for the fantastic review of Jeli.io! We are so pleased to hear you and your team are seeing the value of Jeli to promote learning from incidents and continuous improvement. Our customers are #1 and we aim to provide you with the very best in class support so we are so glad you agree! If you haven't checked it out yet, I encourage you to explore Narrative Builder on the analysis side. Narrative Builder is like a Turbo Tax for building your incident timelines, guiding users through the parts and automating the process. We've found customers have gone from spending hours and days on building timelines to 20 minutes to an hour to build with Narrative Builder! The team is hard at work on product features to support security teams and all the adjacent folks involved in incident management-- stay tuned for more soon!

  ### 9. Jeli is a great addition to the Incident Learning toolbox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

Jeli is easy to understand for engineers new to incident reviews. It allows for those engineers to quickly come up to speed on how to create an informative and engaging narrative.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

There is little to dislike. As an early adopter we've seen quick development and rolling out of new features that address pain points.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jeli is being used to improve our quality and efficiency around Learning from Incidents. It allows our teams to have a consistent experience across reviews.

**Official Response from Rian van der Merwe:**

  ### 10. Great tool for Incident and Problem Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul S. | Manager, Service Continuity, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

Jeli helped in streamlining the incident management process and improved the turnaround time to communicate and align resources during an incident. The flexibility and customization has helped my team to efficiently and effectively use Jeli (IR bot)

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

There is a learning curve as it is with any tool, remembering all the commands associated with Jeli to effectively handle an incident that could be challenging in the initial phase.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since it integrates directly in slack, it enabled by team to carry out the lifecycle of the incident from an existing tool without having the need to login to a separate tool. The Jeli commands made it simple to provide incident details and global settings allowed to set update reminders and define default notification groups/channels.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hi Rahul-- thank you for your feedback on Jeli. We are happy to hear you are finding your team collaborating on learning from incidents with Jeli. I am excited to share with you that we just released major updates to the UI/UX across our IR Bot and an updated onboarding flow with a sandbox environment in our incident analysis platform! You can view a demo video through the link. Our team is hard at work on exciting product updates-- stay tuned! In the meantime, please let us know if there is anything we can do to make Jeli a 5-star experience for you!

  ### 11. Jeli helps me find and share the stories of incidents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nigel K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

At the start of an incident, Jeli collects the slack-based evidence of the incident, without my staff having to fill in timelines or details.
After that, I use the Narrative Builder to pull the important moments out of what happened and what we did, and build a narrative supported by those events.
During the incident review itself, that supported narrative guides the review group through what happened, and I feel that we very readily get at our expectations, assumptions, and learnings.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

I have not been unhappy with Jeli the product or Jeli the company.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We as an organization appear to be able to have high-quality discussion and learnings from the incidents we have, while spending less time preparing for those discussions.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hi Nigel-- we are so happy to hear you and your team are gaining greater insights in less time through using Jeli! Our team is hard at work on exciting product updates-- stay tuned!

The support offered by the Jeli staff is phenomenal. They helped us significantly improve the learning from incidents practice in my company. The Jeli tool allows our staff to analyse and share the incidents we have to increase our learning and drive incremental improvements.

PagerDuty work speed is very fast and this allows one to pinpoint and resolve incidents fast. It comes with automations which works superbly on your behalf such that you can keep working on other things while they keep an eye on your processes to pinpoint any incidents. It's compatible with other 3d party products for example we were able to integrate it with Servicenow Nd they works incredibly well together. Fundamentally changed how I view incidents as opportunities to learn, helps my investigation be focused and efficient, and increases the learning for myself and the org.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

Do I need to fill this out? There isn't much. Jeli is in the early stages its journey and my only "need" is more from the great team and can't wait to see what they build next.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jeli helps me gain a deep understanding of what happened leading up to and during an incident both with our human and technical systems.

  ### 28. Amazing Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dara G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

Jeli is an absolutely amazing product. It is so simple to use. The tagging features are amazing. Using the product has saved us so much time compared to doing manual Incident Analysis. I highly recommend Jeli.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

Nothing, it is intuitive, easy to use and has a great team supporting it.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jeli makes it easy to learn from incidents. We can use the tool to analyse an incident and tag certain properties to it. It is saving us a lot of time and effort.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hey Dara- we are so glad you are enjoying Jeli and it's saving your team so much time!

  ### 29. Its a nice product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish M. | Senior IT Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

PagerDuty is mainly used for paging purposes, and we have various teams that work on call, so pager duty is very helpful and reliable when it comes to on-call rotation.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

Licensing costs are too high compared to ops-genie; if they bring down the price, that can be an excellent product for various companies. Other than that, I think all the features are user-friendly.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PagerDuty handles our on-call alerting. This means when we have production-level outages or issues, they get sent to PagerDuty. PagerDuty has a schedule for our on-call support team and can send texts, emails, Slack notifications, and phone calls to the correct person to handle them. Within PagerDuty, we setup schedules so we know who is primary and who is secondary on-call so that way we always have coverage.

  ### 30. Pagerduty for efficient on-call

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit K. | Software architect, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

Integration with multiple open source and proprietary monitoring softwares
Easy to define schedules that works well even for a big team which sits across the globe
Developer friendly and great ease of use and UI/UX
escaltion polices can be defined at multiple levels with different thresholds

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

some intergration with open source monitoring tools are not as good as with proprietary softwares, they should cover them as well as not every company is using paid or popular open source softwares, some are using the new starups softwares for monitoring.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alerting the users for different types of incidents and streamlining the on-call process for companies.

  ### 31. Useful incident management tooling... for the first time?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** matthew k. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

Jeli is easy to use and makes organizing, analyzing, and, more importantly, *learning* from incidents much easier.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

I have no complaints. A more advanced import from Slack would be helpful for incidents that arise in the middle of everyday business.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jeli makes it way easier to rally the team around an active incident, clarify roles, keep people informed, and, most importantly, learn from our incidents over time. This has made our organization and platform more resilient overall.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hi Matthew-- we are so glad to hear you and your team are finding value in learning from incidents with the Jeli.io platform! ICYMI, one unique product feature that only Jeli has is the ability to import threads across multiple channels, threads, and DMs all into your incident review! You can read more on it via the link from our founder, Nora. We have a lot of exciting product features in development and slated on our roadmap, so stay tuned for additional updates!

  ### 32. Learn everything you can from an incident using Jeli - the platform makes it easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yanet L. | Sr. Engineering Manager, Infrastructure & Platform Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2022

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

* Using the incident response bot is a joy, especially during incident response. The bot is simple and flexible, enabling our team to concentrate on incident mitigation. How? Well, the Jeli bot handles all communications sending updates as the incident transpires to different channels (configurable as the incident requires it) & keeping everyone (those participating and those just observing across the company) aware of what is happening. This automation makes us stronger during incident response. We know that upon incident closure, all the details we need to start the incident analysis will be automatically loaded to the Platform.

* Super helpful Incident Analysis Platform. Jeli enables us to centralize all the data needed for thorough incident analysis. The incident data loaded can be transformed by adding more context from other incident-related sources or by just generating your incident narrative from a central location. Yay! It’s slowly becoming our central knowledge database for all things revolving around incident learning.

* It's a pleasure to work with Jeli's team; they are very knowledgeable in this space, down to earth and always willing to help.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

* Looking forward to a Jira integration. With this enabled, we can add follow-up projects uncovered from the opportunity all from this central location.

* The incident analysis framework is a little opinionated, but we have worked with Jeli’s team to make it work for us. Also, looking forward to more user-configurable options.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jeli has automated a big part of our incident analysis pipeline. Its flexibility extends its usability to track external customer-impacting events and internal “hiccups, " which also provide rich learning opportunities. We don’t need a complete production outage to gain insights into how we can fill in our socio-technical gaps, and Jeli enables us to do that!

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> We're so glad you enjoy Jeli, Yanet! We released our Jira integration at the beginning of the year, if you haven't checked it out yet! You can learn more here: https://www.jeli.io/blog/jeli-ir-bot-jira-integration

  ### 33. Jeli is a competitive advantage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric D. | Principal Site Reliability Incident Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2022

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

When I ingest the slack messages for an incident, jeli gives me a list of who was involved, how much they spoke up during the incident, and whether they were on-call. I look there first. It opens different questions in my mind than just "what broke?" For example, if someone who wasn't on-call was heavily involved in the resolution, I wonder if this case reveals an important knowledge silo in the organization. As I review the discussions in the incident, I can look for evidence to prove or disprove that hypothesis.

We're in the software business. Thinking about code and services comes naturally. Jeli's tools invite us to ask more questions about the people doing the work. After doing incident reviews focused more on the people, we have uncovered pressures at work in the organization that make detection or remediation more difficult.

We likely just wouldn't even know these things without jeli, 'cos who's gonna realisticly take the time to compare the slack transcript with the pager duty configurations to figure out who was on-call? With jeli doing that work for us, we can ask questions that generate different insights about our business.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

We have some incidents or some teams where not much of the action happens in slack. We can't get the same kinds of insight from the parts jeli makes easy. So there is some chance that we will avoid investigating those incidents.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool itself is already extremely useful. But the expertise of the team is world-class. The more our business grows, the more complex the incidents get. Conventional incident retros look for how the services failed and how to prevent that. They lead to narrow solutions, which increase the complexity.

Jeli's HOWIE guide offers a way to find more insight from incidents and keep your teams closer to what's actually happening in production. Retros, informed by a little time with jeli, are more likely to reveal how experts work under pressure, what they have to know, who they have to know, and what kinds of communication challenges and coordination problems recur.

We want to level up how we learn from incidents before making other investments in the incident management space.

  ### 34. Makes incident analysis easier and more impactful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cooper B. | Staff Platform Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2022

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

- The narrative builder and report authoring process removes a ton of toil while performing incident writeups while making it easier to extract more learnings from the incident
- The Slack bot helps automate incident communications while also streamlining the process of getting data into the analysis platform
- The early cross-incident data aggregation and analysis tools show a lot of promise and should help provide even more value from incident analysis over time
- The team is highly responsive to feedback and is always ready to advise on incident response and analysis best practices drawing from their massive collective experience

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

- The framework for incident analysis that they provide, while flexible, can run counter to the current practices of an organization, so there may be some friction aligning your organization's policies and expectations to what Jeli produces
- Some options aren't yet user configurable, which makes them somewhat tedious to modify

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jeli is reducing the amount of toil required to produce high-quality incident analysis by providing more automation and simplicity than our current approach using Google Docs templates. This frees up engineer time and increases our ability to analyze incidents we traditionally would have overlooked.

  ### 35. Incredible tool for assessing and managing incidents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemed H W. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2022

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

PagerDuty employs artificial intelligence and machine learning to help monitor the entire product architecture and helps automatically detect any incidents and their root causeso as to resolve them quickly before critical damage is done. It has a group alert feature that brings together all alerts as a single incident and alert suppression feature which helps avoid or minimize interruptions. It keeps a copy of previous incidents and their remedies and this helps speed up future responses to similar incidents. It integrates seamlessly with quite a number of third party products like servicenow, aws and more others and this means you don't have to change your existing working environment. It gives clear and detailed insights about any insights, their root cause, runbook information and even offers the options of running post mortems on incidents so as to improve future responses.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

With a tool like PagerDuty which has quality and effective features, it's very difficult for me to pinpoint anything that i dislike in this product. So generally am satisfied with everything about it.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PaperDuty finds its use in our organization as an incident management tool to helps us manage any incidents in the software product development cycle. It offers us with the most reliable incident management experience allowing us to assess any incidents, pinpoint their root causes and resolve them quickly before their impacts become severe. With this, we have been able to deliver quality products to our customers.

  ### 36. Pretty good but needs better UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshat M. | Senior Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

It's straightforward and gets the job done. It also supports a good integration with all the tools and technologies that we utilize at the company.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

The UI seems dated. It doesn't look very clean or modern. I cannot think of any functionality that it lacks per say except for the UI.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All our job failure alerts are hooked into PD and we use it to triage and mitigate these

  ### 37. Great tool that helps our org learn from incidents

**Reviewed by:** Hannah E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2023

Support is amazing. Jeli is constantly iterating and improving. I love the timeline tool that makes the incident review process more manageable.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

Haven't found any yet, I think I need to use the tool more to better understand it and see if there are any needs it doesn't currently meet.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident timeline management and searching for similar incidents

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> We love working with you and your team, Hannah! We're so glad to hear you are so happy with our support!

  ### 38. Ok experience, could be more user friendly

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

The software is good, and integrations are good. But it's just one more product that I have to deal with. It's good for looking at things at a high view though, and it's as good as your data is.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

Too time consuming inputting all the data. But good when effort is put in. The problem is, most people don't put the effort, including myself. I wonder if there's a way we can streamline it more.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us solve incident management issues, or rather tracking them, and using them to show trends in the types of issues we're facing on the daily. It's not a bad too for this.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hey there- thanks for your feedback. I am excited to share with you that we just released major updates to the UI/UX across our IR Bot and an updated onboarding flow with a sandbox environment in our incident analysis platform! You can read more about it in the blog post. If you haven't checked it out yet, I encourage you to explore Narrative Builder on the analysis side. Please let us know if we can do anything else in the meantime to make Jeli a 5-star experience for you!

  ### 44. 24 * 7 Monitoring tool

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush M. | engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

Its way of sending alerts is from various methods like calls, mail and messages, ensuring alerts aren't missed. Its way of alert incident management is one of the best.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

Not so much customisable interaction with JIRA. You have to keep an alert id to get alert history.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To auto-assign the alerts to the respective on-call person. Manage any incident timely, which helps system availability.

  ### 45. PagerDuty is my go to choice for On-call support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel A. | Senior Technical Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

The amount of products that PagerDuty integrates well with is simply amazing! I have configured it in many different ITSM solutions for clients. Some with on-premise deployments, others in AWS, or Azure Cloud deployments. The ease of integration and setup is why I keep recommending PagerDuty to clients.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

There is not much to dislike, the improvements PagerDuty has made over the years have been impressive! I was originally dissatisfied with the Jira integration options, but since that time those have been resolved and improved upon!

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with various types of monitoring systems, ticketing systems, and messaging systems has been simply fantastic! Everything from full-scale monitoring to simple email messages to trigger on-call events.

  ### 46. Pagerduty for alerting

  ### 47. Pager duty is good

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit B. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

Pagerduty doesnt has best ui like squadcast

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 48. PagerDuty's features are enough to satisfy the needs of our group

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hunter M. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PagerDuty?**

What I like best about PagerDuty is the simple but effective alerting strategies for controlling on-call personnel. Schedules and rules may be predetermined, which makes it easy to manage on-call staff. Additionally, Slack's connectivity with other services is excellent. We have not had any issues connecting it to external alerting services, which are compatible with most. It is possible to set up basic integrations for your alerting systems through their APIs.

**What do you dislike about PagerDuty?**

I wouldn't say I like PagerDuty because it does not have native support for managing services. PagerDuty makes it challenging to keep track of people and their jobs on the platform if one does not use it frequently. Another downside is that PagerDuty does not support two-factor authentication, which should be industry standard by now.

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PagerDuty is solving the problem of inefficient on-call scheduling, notifications, and escalations. This benefits you by allowing teams to resolve incidents faster and improve mean time to resolution.

  ### 49. Handy incident plugin for Slack

**What problems is PagerDuty solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves time on updating other channels and the right folks on the progression of an incident.

**Official Response from Amanda MacLeod:**

> Hi there-- thank you for your feedback on Jeli. We are happy to hear you are finding your team collaborating on learning from incidents with Jeli. We recognize that everyone has a different level of comfort in incident response, engaging with Slack bots, and remembering slash commands. We want anyone who might be involved in incident coordination and communication to feel comfortable using the Jeli Incident Response (IR) Bot. We’ve just released updates to make set up and use even easier for your entire team! Our team is hard at work on exciting product updates-- stay tuned! In the meantime, please let us know if there is anything we can do to make Jeli a 5-star experience for you!
