WebPreserver automatically expands and captures long comment threads, including embedded media, and preserves metadata with digital signatures ensuring evidence is authentic, tamper-proof, and defensible in court. ## WebPreserver Reviews ### 1. Best-in-Class Automated Social Media Preservation with Hashing and Forensic Reports **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Shari O. | Director of Forensic Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026 **What do you like best about WebPreserver?** It has an automated collection process of social media accounts/posts giving authenticity/hash to each data file it preserves. It also gives a great forensic report listing the hashes for all collection positions it collects. I have yet to find a program that does this for online/websites. This product is a close runner for a forensic preservation as you will find for online sources. **What do you dislike about WebPreserver?** For PDF related websites, such as a manual posted online with its own webpage, it does not collect the PDF. When I spoke to support, they advised they can script something together to assist in the collection of the PDF. I have not used that free service at this time as the timeline collection for this particular case was already reached. But to know the option is there to have them custom script for collection was a relief. **What problems is WebPreserver solving and how is that benefiting you?** The simple fact that this program authenticates/hashes each video post collected, as well as the website itself, is invaluable. to be able to "preserve" the data files with an auto hash feature is a great forensic tool resolution for website collections. ### 2. What I find valuable is that it gives me a defensible log for court. Also, being able to use Pagefreezer from Chrome is awesome since it was initially a bit challenging due to security parameters with my company. **What do you dislike about WebPreserver?** In the past, I had issues with YouTube and Facebook. **What problems is WebPreserver solving and how is that benefiting you?** Pagefreezer solves the problem of needing to rely on a vendor for web preservation by allowing me to do it myself. ### 3. I find that it captures the social accounts to help preserve media. It's semi-easy to use and works for the most part. **What do you dislike about WebPreserver?** It takes way too long to download the preservation. And the captures stop early on Facebook, so you have to manually go to the date it stops on multiple times, which is time-consuming. **What problems is WebPreserver solving and how is that benefiting you?** WebPreserver captures social media accounts for clients, helping preserve media. ### 4. Especially when it will expand all the comments for you! **What do you dislike about WebPreserver?** I wish it could collect the entire page, no matter how many posts there are.
