**Reviewed by:** Carole M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

Padlet has been a great tool for me and all of my teacher colleagues. We are posting our weekly planning, lesson plans and documents (material needed for each class). When a student is absent, he can check from home what has been done in class, print the documents and complete them.
We can share among teachers in our school our lesson plans, ideas, etc...

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

Not being able to copy all the posts from one padlet to another in one click. We need to duplicate each post one at a time.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Avoid sending documents to absent students, making easier to share ideas of lesson plan among the teacher team, share what's the weekly plan is with the parents

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

  ### 7. Great for quick in class discussions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karin Y. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

User friendly. Easy on the eye. Captures info and can be shared to other platforms.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

I couldn't figure out how to have students' names appear on their responses. Also how to have each response appear in its own box.
The format came through as a thread.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Classroom participation. Puts work on students. They are completing work in real time.

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

> We're pleased to hear that you find Padlet user-friendly and visually appealing for quick in-class discussions! Regarding your concerns, for students' names to appear on their responses, they need to be logged in, and the attribution feature should be turned on. Additionally, to have each response appear in its own box rather than in a thread format, you can explore different Padlet layouts that better suit your needs, such as the grid or shelf layouts.

These adjustments can enhance classroom participation by encouraging students to complete work in real-time while providing a clear view of each student's contributions. If you need further guidance on settings or layouts, please reach out to us on social media (@padlet). We're here to help make your Padlet experience as effective and enjoyable as possible!

**Reviewed by:** Susanna A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

The ease of use is something that resonates with me. I do a lot of teacher training, and we use padlet for brainstorming ideas. ### 19. Padlet as a great mind-mapping tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Callum B. | Marketing Executive, Hospitality, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

Padlet is incredibly easy-to-use, and is excellent for mind-mapping ideas in an orderly and manageable fashion. Being free-of-charge for 5 simultaneous Padlet sessions, Padlet is a fantastic tool for project or idea planning and brainstorming. Being able to colour-code and connect notes is handy, as well as the ability to add pictures to the notes for visual reference. Padlet sessions can also be shared with others to collaborate on ideas in real-time.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

When using the free version of Padlet, there is a limit to 5 Padlet sessions. In order to continue making Padlet sessions, you must either delete or archive your existing Padlet sessions.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When working on a project or idea, Padlet is a great tool and space to collaborate, brainstorm and mind-map the creative thoughts that come to mind. With the ability to collaborate on Padlet's in real-time, it acts as a great way to collate all introspective thoughts and ideas in one place, and helps organise all creative insight on one page. This has been incredibly handy when working on some larger audio projects, whereby my team and I were able to create a mind-map of our proposed A/V setup, accompanied by visuals, such that we were all familiarised with the layout.

**Official Response from Julia Carnes:**

> Hi Callum! Thank you for leaving a review. I'm glad that Padlet is helpful for your collaboration and mind-mapping needs! Your A/V setup padlet sounds particularly interesting. I'm sorry to hear that the padlet limit for the free plan is hindering you, but it sounds like you are making the most of those 5 active padlets. If you have any other feedback, please feel free to send us a message: https://padlet.com/contact-us - Thanks again for using Padlet!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

Padlet is a great way to let students be creative in their responses and interact with each other! I use Padlet to check for understanding and as a discussion board after watching a film in Film Studies. I use it after reading a play in Drama and students can add photos to illustrate their comments.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

I am a teacher and paying for this service is a necessity, I understand- but I wish there were a discount!

If you are like me and think that Google Drive is not easy and documents are hard to find because you don't remember what you named them and/or maybe you are a just visual person. Then you will love Padlet. It's like a visual file cabinet. No more having to remember how you labeled your documents. And the best part is Organizing and creating a Padlet is super easy!

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

The least helpful is .....can't think of anything.

  ### 28. Superb tool for education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

It's incredibly easy to learn - takes less than five minutes to become a competent user and half an hour to be an expert.

It's also just as easy for users to navigate. Plus, it looks friendly and inviting and it's very easy to customise images and backgrounds to get just the right 'tone'.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

I feel mean spirited writing anything here. If pressed, I guess that ease of use does have the downside that it's less flexible than I'd like it to be sometimes.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing content with my students (videos and PDFs mostly). There are alternatives but they all have a much steeper student learning curve and they usually require logins to access which takes time to set up at the start of the year.

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

> We're delighted that Padlet has been a superb tool for education in your experience! Your appreciation for its easy learning curve and user-friendly navigation is wonderful to hear. Your feedback about customization options and user engagement is noted. We're consistently working on refining Padlet's features. It's great to know that Padlet has facilitated sharing content with your students, making the process efficient and hassle-free. If you have more feedback or ideas, feel free to reach out over social media @padlet. Thank you for choosing Padlet to enhance your teaching experience!

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

Very user friendly
fast
beautiful interface
contains as many posts as I need
easy to share

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

The search function is too general, I believe it also searches the content of the padlet and not only the title therefore it's not helpful.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

organization

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

> It's wonderful to hear that Padlet's user-friendly interface, speed, and capacity for numerous posts are helping you organize your lesson plans efficiently across multiple grades. ### 30. No teacher should do without Padlet!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

The most useful thing is that it allows you to invite freely with or without registration, and it is capable of managing different types of files very well for displaying and sharing, it is undoubtedly very versatile.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

Perhaps it's just that setting up the type of access and changing the name isn't so simple at first, however, one becomes familiar with it and it's no longer so problematic. The buttons on the right, in themselves, are not very intuitive at first, but once they are used, one can become familiar with them quickly.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In reality, the work I do is always educational. I benefit a lot from being able to ask my students to upload a personal presentation or to share ideas that can inspire others.

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive opinion about Padlet! We are pleased to know that you find our platform practical and inspiring for your educational work. It's great that you can invite your students to share ideas and presentations in a versatile and seamless way. We appreciate your feedback on the initial setup and familiarization with the interface. We are committed to improving the user experience, and we take your suggestions into account to make it even more intuitive. If you need more help or have any questions, feel free to contact us through our social media @padlet. Enjoy the versatility and inspiration that Padlet brings to your educational work!

  ### 31. Padlet is a very useful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristi H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

I like that I can customize the background and the format of the posts. I like that my students can post pictures and text. It's a great tool for quickly sharing information and it's easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

Padlet doesn't require my students to use their logins or their names, so some of their posts end up being anonymous.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Padlet lets my students share information in a non-graded setting. It keeps everyone accountable because the audience for their work is the public.

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

> Hi Kristi,

Thanks so much for your positive review. We're glad to hear that you enjoy the customization features. If you're having problems with anonymous student posts, you may want to consider subscribing to a classroom plan. You'd be able to give your students accounts and then there would be no anonymous posts.

  ### 36. Great way to get students to share their ideas!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

Students are able to work in teams or individually to post thier opinions/ findings. While other apps work well, the interface of Padlet encourages students to upload their posts. We use padlet to share sample sentences that students have written using a new set of vocabularies. We also have students write up short summaries of passages covered in class and post them on Padlet. That way, students can comment on each other's work.
I also like to use Padlet for homeroom where I have to organize the information shared with my students.
Students definitely enjoy using Padlet.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

It is such a great system that I understand it cannot be delivered for free. However, I wish we had at least 5 padlets to begin with rather than 3. And, when I mistakenly joined a fourth padlet created by my colleague, the very first padlet I created with my students deleted automatically. I am in the process of figuring out if there is a way to retrieve it.
This is really a mistake on my side but I wish there is a way to fix this and that the proceedure is simple.
Even with this, I am currently in the process of negotiating with the school to have Padlet set up for the rest of the faculty members.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Casually sharing students work. And haveing students comment on eachother's work. It's great!

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experiences with Padlet! It's wonderful to hear that Padlet has become a great platform for your students to share their ideas and collaborate effectively.

We're so sorry to hear that you've had a problem with a deleted padlet. We want you to know that the actual limit on padlets is 5, not 3. We think of this as an easter egg but we're sorry if there's any confusion. Please feel free to reach out via social media @padlet and we can see about what happened with your deleted padlet.

  ### 37. A Useful App

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

I don't have any problems with Padlet as it's been easy to set up and worked great for what I need with my students.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I typically use it to get my students input on a topic. It's also worked well when I have students choose topics as I can put up the display and whoever has their post up first, gets the topic.

Students who are too shy to raise their hand and verbalize a response can see other responses and still contribute to class discussion and I can gauge their level of understanding at a glance.
also it captures thoughts , thus making their thinking visible, better than chat in zoom where things go whizzing by.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

would love to have a google slides integration. so I can post the padlet/ or slide as is, and click through it to the padlet and when done back to my slide deck to proceed

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

The ease of the tool is fantastic, in it you can store the record of your school work with photos, files, videos, links, etc., the range of options is endless. Not to mention that there is an option to save everything in PDF format, simply amazing 🤩

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

It's a pity that it's not free, it could be at least for teachers, it would be an extra perk. The only thing I would change would be a free plan for educators😅😅😅😅

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In terms of didactic recording, the tool allows for real-time saving and by sharing the students' ideas, it records what they think about the class.

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M. | Administrative Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

I love the versatility of padlet. It is great for teams with lots of remote workers. It is great for collecting feedback anonymously and I use it for an array of meetings, discussions, feedback sessions, as well as for personal reasons!

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

There are some sercurity concerns for my organization, so unfortunately once my license is up, I will no longer be able to use it for work, which is my primary use. When our IT contracting department found out about their concerns, I was on the verge of ordering another 25 license for my team. Hoping some remediation is on the horizon. Also the "title" function for different sections is a little limited in functionality.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It adds fun and ease to group work, creating an interactive environment that is flexible, versatile and requires little to no working knowledge of the product to jump right in and contribute.

**Official Response from Atticus From Padlet:**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

I started using Padlet, as a teacher, during COVID. I was easily able to add lessons, videos, links to resources and assignments. Parents of my elementary students found it quick and easy for students to use.

After we went back into the classroom I had become use to planning out my day on Padlet that I've continued to use it. I've shared what I've done with other educators and they are hooked as well.

Some Padlets I keep and use year after year, others I delete when I'm finished.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

Nothing really. It is easy to copy the link and add it to google classroom or Schoology. I also send out the link in emails and remind text.

Maybe a teacher discount on the price. I pay for it out of pocket.

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of my resources are easily found and stored in one location. Students don't have to go hunting or clicking on multiple links to find what they need. I've organized research projects with videos and resources. I then can easily edit it and save it for next year.

**Official Response from Julia Carnes:**

> Hi there! Thank you for leaving a review. It's awesome to hear that you are hooked on Padlet—and that you are getting others hooked too! We did just release a new Classroom plan that would be more cost-efficient if you want your students to make their own unlimited padlets. Feel free to contact us for more information: https://padlet.com/contact-us - Thanks again for using Padlet!

**What do you like best about Padlet?**

People can share their knowledge, and also learn from the knowledge of others. This helps participants see and learn from multiple perspectives, and begin to let go of the idea of one right answer. It is also very user friendly, I have had successs using padlet with a wide range of tech skill levels.

**What do you dislike about Padlet?**

Padlet has been great for the purposes I have used it for. The only thing I could possibly suggest would be the ability to format data outputs...? Though I have never had an issue with the pdf download...

**What problems is Padlet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with distributed stakeholders representing different sectors and perspectives. Our goal is understanding complex social systems and building connectivity and understanding across key actors is critical. We want to build a web, not spokes on a wheel.
