What do you like best about Packagist?

I have used this product while I was looking for for my my PHP libraries to contain my packages. using multiple installer is best for if you are using cmd to run on your projects on Linux, their interface is somehow easy to handle with packages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Packagist?

their requirement need for smaller packages need to update regularly, specially for php composer.phar Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Packagist:

if you are unexperienced user with whole packages handling through cmd line, you could run with "composer.lock" to resolve all your library integration issue with packagist Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Packagist solving and how is that benefiting you?

by using packagist i was able to retain my packages of library to single repositories without much of hassle. an this could find right version of Packgis VCS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Packagist?

Packagist is one of best package manager tools out there. It is easy to use and once the code is deployed as a dependency it is extremely easy to use it in another project. Having packagist to manage dependencies is must have for any organization that deals with PHP development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Packagist?

There are no flaws that I feel there are in Packagist, but one thing that they could improve on is having a seamless way to publishing from private packagist.com to public packagist.org registry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Packagist solving and how is that benefiting you?

We as an organization have benefited a lot after using packagist to manage our dependencies. We have been using it for more than 3 years and feel it is well suited for any packaging purpose we need for the PHP programming language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Depending on the PHP and framework version you are using it might get tricky with all the packages out there, always make sure the package you are trying to install is well supported, go to the GitHub repository and check for the latest commit, amount of open issues and activity in the issue and PR feed. What problems is Packagist solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Packagist?

Packagist has worked tremendously well for the last years, and makes it significantly easier for organizations to manage their private packages. There are some free alternatives but they require quite a bit of extra work, and are less reliable from an operational aspect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Packagist?

The pricing is the only thing that I dislike. This is quite expensive for larger organizations, and not even that cheap for small organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
