Their customer support is one of the worst experiences I've ever encountered. They say they'll respond to emails in 15 minutes, but my support request took hours to get a reply. It seems like they're not actually reading my emails because they keep asking me to repeat information I've already provided. Their products have been unreliable for me. I was testing them out with a client, but due to these issues, I can't use it with other clients. **What problems is Oxylabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was using Oxylabs for proxies, but encountered lots of issues. Customer support is poor, with delayed and unhelpful responses. The initial setup was easy, but ongoing reliability and support issues have caused me to look for another provider. ### 2. Every single message took around 10 minutes for a reply, and the issue dragged on for more than 10 days without resolution. Even after all that time, the problem with their dashboard still hasn’t been fixed. Concerning Billing Practices and Customer Service Issues with OxyLabs Proxy Service **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2025 **What do you like best about Oxylabs?** - The core web unblocking proxy service functioned adequately for our needs during most of our one-year usage period - Initial setup and integration was straightforward - When working properly, their service provided reliable access to our target sites - The proxy infrastructure generally performed as advertised during normal operations **What do you dislike about Oxylabs?** - Critical lack of billing transparency and notification systems for usage spikes - Poor incident management when their unblocker failed on one of our target sites - Technical team implemented "fixes" that caused 30x increase in traffic usage (from $50/day to $1,500/day) without notification - Inflexible customer service, even when escalated to senior management (Head of Account Management) - Refused to take responsibility for technical changes that directly caused excessive billing - No proactive monitoring or alerts for abnormal usage patterns that could impact billing - Demonstrated prioritization of revenue collection over customer relationship management - Lack of accountability when their technical changes directly impacted customer costs - Poor handling of billing disputes, even for long-term customers with significant annual contracts Consider alternative proxy providers who offer better customer service, transparent billing practices, and professional issue resolution. While OxyLabs' technical infrastructure is functional, their business practices and customer service make them a risky choice for business-critical services, especially if you're concerned about unexpected billing issues or need responsive customer support. **What problems is Oxylabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Oxylabs provided us proxy services to facilitate web scraping using Web Unblocker. ### 5. It was very easy to implement SOCKS5 into Python. **What do you dislike about Oxylabs?** Constantly erroring requests, the competition was actually 20% of the price, so a lot cheaper and with a much higher quality. Oxylabs was slower, had constant errors and was at the same time more expensive. **What problems is Oxylabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used it to query a website that was easy to reach. Therefore really an easy case for a proxy implementation. However not even this worked out fine. ### 6.
