"It's a great place to crowd source info on companies."
What do you like best about Owler?

It's a great place to get some extra insight into a company and its competition when you can't find it in a general online search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

The info is crowd-sourced so sometimes it's wild guesses by people who know nothing about a company. For privately owned companies there should be a way for the owner of the company to verify their numbers and company stats. The verified info should stand stronger than people's random guesses and maybe the company could be asked to verify each year for their info to remain prominent. Our company is constantly listed as only making half of what we actually make per year and 40 employees when we have over 500. No matter how many times I submit the accurate info. Other users' guesses or purposeful miss-information still show as the result. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Thorough and Deliberate Source of Information"
What do you like best about Owler?

I find that Owler is a great tool to utilize for any business, big or small. The customizable interface with its alert system and ability to monitor specific companies allows users to get valuable insight into their competition before it's too late. Whether researching potential opportunities for funding/mergers/acquisitions early on or building an extensive sales pipeline, the comprehensive metrics available within this dependable resource gives businesses all of the information they need in one spot. Additionally, owing to resources such as industry insights from subject matter experts and current market trends being presented regularly - discussions are more informed which ultimately helps refine strategies further along down the line Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

I dislike that advertisements take up too much space on Owler. I feel the trial period should be extended to allow customers adequate time for testing out the services and products available. Furthermore, there is a flood of new companies quickly entering this market, so those startup founders who have recently acquired funding ought to carefully weigh their options when considering these platforms. "For a quick recap of what's going on in the industry Owler is the way to go!"
What do you like best about Owler?

I appreciate that I can reach snippets in one single email and select which articles I'd like to dig in deeper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

I would like to see other types of articles within the tech segment, but that may just be a settings issue on my end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for company information"
What do you like best about Owler?

I love that it rates the companies CEO's, provides the top 3 competitors and provides annual estimated revenue. The fact that I can follow a few companies and get news updates is fantastic. Google tends to send me name matches, not company ones. The interface is super easy to use and I get daily updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

It is not always 100% accurate and I think based on feedback you provide, it should unlock more in the freemium version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Daily Quick Bites"
What do you like best about Owler?

I use the free version and so far have really liked it. Owler send me daily bites on the key accounts and makes it easier for me to stay up-to-date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

Frankly speaking, nothing much to dislike. It would have been great if I could track about 10 accounts on the free version, but that's pretty much it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free Company News Alerts, Social Media Tracking, and Polls"
What do you like best about Owler?

As a free service, Owler is heads and shoulders above Google Alerts. The service provides higher precision and does a much better job of filtering out non-business content. They also recently launched a set of competitor tools for comparing companies and have begun suggesting additional companies to track (e.g. You follow X how about Y?)

Owler integrates corporate news, press releases, blogs, and videos (YouTube and Vimeo).into a single viewer making it much easier to track key customers, prospects, and competitors. The viewer allows sales reps, competitive analyst, and market researchers to quickly evaluate and track a company across multiple content categories.

They have also put together a funding dataset similar to TechCrunch. It appears to be fairly strong, but this is not my area of expertise.

The premium services remove advertising, provide unlimited company follows, and enterprise software integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

The executive content is thin. They only provide the CEO name, a CEO performance poll, and an executive change feed. There are no other executives provided in the service.

Company list building is under featured and only covers a limited number of companies. Executive screening is not available.

They have yet to incorporate Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn into their unified viewer, but when they do, this service will be extremely valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful tool for gaining business intelligence and making informed decisions"
What do you like best about Owler?

I appreciate the comprehensive business intelligence that Owler provides. The platform provides highly reliable data on a wide range of companies, so I never miss important updates such as IPO announcements or executive changes. Its intuitive design and user experience is designed for beginners and professionals alike, making it an ideal resource for anyone looking to keep up with the latest news in their sector or industry. In addition, you can curate your own selection of followed organizations that are relevant to you - ensuring accurate market insights tailored specifically to your interests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

I have found Owler to be generally reliable, but the lack of customizable alerts on a per-team basis can be annoying. Especially if one or more members need updates that others may not. The fact that you can only receive emails in an account set up with the service, instead of customizing them for each team member, is also inconvenient. If implemented correctly, this could increase collaboration among colleagues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good reports, but inaccurate at times."
What do you like best about Owler?

Owler is the best method to give a headcount of the company you are researching. Its analysis of the competitor companies is very accurate and simple to read. If you are looking for information on companies that are larger than 1000 employees then this is the solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Owler?

Owler only allows you to create a custom list if you are part of the Plus plan, at extra cost. At times you might see companies that are no longer in existence, so the data may not be up to date. They need to keep their database up to date as best as possible, maybe 1 week to 1 month. If you are looking for information on small companies less than 1000, then this is not your solution.
