Howler is great at providing a brief description of what companies do, as well as examples of competitors.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

I wish you didn't have to sign in every time to see the complete information. Sometimes I am using a different device that I am not signed in on, and I'd like to be able to just get on with my research.

Owler gives me a quick read on companies I want to continue to monitor.  I also use Owler to look at new companies.  It is a valuable resource for me to perform due diligence on companies that are new to me.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

I wonder about some of the information.  I come across some information that I know is wrong, and I wonder who contributed the information.  I think sometimes companies use Owler to puff up their credentials.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For many companies it is difficult to find accurate information.  With Owler, I get to the truth a lot quicker than going to random, unreliable sites.  It helps me do my job.

Daily newsletter of my selected companies helps minimize searching for competitor news. The recommended companies to follow informa me of companies I have not heard of yet but ar important to know about

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

No option for a weekly roundup or a roundup by industries. The default sort and search is by company. Also would like to see more integrations with tools like HubSpot and Crunchbase.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Researching companies to invest in and competitors products to know from a product manager perspective. Also need to understand how industries are evolving and what trends are in each industry and sector related to e-commerce and advertising.

**What do you like best about Owler?**

We use Owler to qualify prospects and understand more about them when inputting company information into our CRM. We refer to the following: revenue, # of employees, website, funding, and so on.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

It doesn't include all companies we'd like. A lot of the companies we target are small to medium-sized businesses; however, being that this is a free option, we can't complain much.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Owler helps us identify and qualify prospects that are a good fit for us. When we receive leads, we always use Owler to learn more about the companies before handing off to a consultant.

I have seen many duplicate profiles for some companies, which can be time-consuming to navigate through andto  put all the information together yourself from these different profiles.

Owler helps me gather very useful information about other companies as potential customers. I gather data from Owler before reaching out to contacts inside these companies and I'm able to show I know about their business and offer help.

I am a frequent user of Owler as a Sales Manager as it provides company data and real-time news updates on various companies, which is helpful in my day-to-day activities. I can check the competitors' data and see where my product differentiates.

One point for improvement would be to give more detailed and updated competitors' data so we get the latest information on what is going on in the market.

Would like to have it pull together more than a scrapping of press releases and bit more analysis, possibly develop relationships with analysts and provide new/unique insights.

Daily summary of announcements from companies that I am actively tracking. I no longer need to go to search for press releases or view quarterly earnings releases. The information now all arrives to me in the daily digest.

There is some false positives in the prefix/suffix matching so I see a match for example Echo Logistics when I'm interested in another company starting with Echo.

Simplifies my ability to obtain daily insights in the companies in my space that I would otherwise have to actively seek out their regular public releases and earnings calls.

One of the best things about Owler is the comprehensive and up-to-date company information it provides. I am able to quickly compare deep parts of company information between competing businesses. this, in turn allows me to not miss any aspects of covering company information and presentations on my website.

for the time being, there really isn't anything i have come to dislike about owler. the sign in and updating information of my company was difficult at first verifying who i was, but i can see that it needed to be secure and not too easy.

Comparing similar companies. and how they relate to the market. the business i am currently working for has a small niche and owler was able to quckly categorize and find other relating companies that are direct competitors and help me be able to see the differences.

I love the fact that I can make a customized newsletter of companies in my space that I can keep tabs on. I use this information to summarize and pass on to my G2M team. it gives me the information I need at a glance!

I wish there were a way to pay for information without a subscription. Too many subscriptions to manage, and since my job isn't specifically competitive intelligence at all times, I can't take advantage of specific information I would pay to access al la carte.

Some insights are not relevant to my role/research, but I can probably do a better job filtering within the Owler platform. Also, you only get a few free searches with the free version.

The tool is user-friendly and enables us to rapidly conduct preliminary scans on companies that might be of interest to our organization.  Useful information about revenue sizing and often times insights into the competitive space.

One of the potential areas for improvement would be to provide more actionable---that is, better and  more detailed information---about competitor companies.  It would also be helpful if the scope were broadened to include smaller companies---there is a skew to bigger companies.

The daily e-mails keep me aware of relevant news within our specific industry and sometimes other closely related industries.  I typically send a couple of articles a month to colleagues because the content is relevant to their specific role and will impact conversations with customers.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Not a fan of the Saturday e-mails since I unplug on the weekends.  I also get many articles that aren't relevant but the format of the headlines allows me to quickly dismiss those.

The UI is the most intuitive and well-designed of any comparable app. All the info you could want (and some you didn't think to expect) are right where you want them.

The database of companies and websites is not as extensive as some competitors provide. Would love to see a more thorough index of companies, especially international/global enterprises.

Owler is great for finding account data for sales outreach and/or account-based marketing. It provides crucial information in a clear, easy-to-access format, too.

Owler brings together a great summary of concise details on businesses that we look at and research. It has a lot of the key details around business size, funds raised, news alerts and business performance that helps us to better understand our competitors and how we compare and keep up to date on the moves in the market.

UI and navigation are a bit tricky with Owler. I think there could be some improvements on how you navigate from key areas like business profiles to Newsfeeds and other areas.

A quick and concise place to evaluate our competitors, how we are performing within the market and the ability to look at other startups and areas for our business.

It provides and good insight in what is happening in the industry, our partners and competition which I am concerned with to do my job better. This helps as all info comes consolidated at one place.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

The only thing is that several times when you click on the links from the mailer it takes you to third party site and you are expected to create account on that. While I understand it is beyond you control, but it is annoying.

As I said above, it provide all the news of my interest at one place every day. It potentially saves hours of surfing the internet to find the same information.

I started researching a good provider a data for companies that have raised capital and other alerts.

I use the data for sales purposes, using various snippets in our outreach campaigns for personalisation

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Right now i don't need to sync to crm but soon i will have to, probably. The jump in pricing is quite steep and I don't think i am willing to go for it at the current setup

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The sales data i get is clean and haven't found reasons to look somewhere else yet. Owler helps me with sourcing this kind of data that interests me

Helps with the CEO, legal name of the business, proper website address, number of employees, and potential competitors

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Revenue figures are highly inaccurate, competitor data is about 40-50% accurate, too much reliance on geographic competition that is not relevant in the SAAS software space

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The above 2 categories above are too limiting - my specific use in in the area of mergers and acquisitions - identifying companies and the ecosystem that the companies operate.

There is a need to do cross data check and I am missing some AI capabilities that will help me to find faster what I am looking for.

Owler provides comprehensive data overall. It's relatively simple and easy to use, and intuitive to see the use and application of each data type. The platform does a great job of bringing different types of data, from PR to financial, together into the same place.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Some of the data that Owler provides is easy to find online and thus does not provide as much value as the cost of the subscription. It's overall a good value though.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Owler makes it easy to find data on major companies that allows users to understand their competition and their industry landscape. While it is less valuable when researching smaller companies, it is invaluable for researching large organizations.

Nothing. It is a valuable site, designed for what we need - to provide insight and guidance into various companies and competitors. We leverage Owler to provide us news, happenings, and business notifications.

Owler allows for a centralized, single point of information on interesting businesses. We are able to view their latest news and notes, press releases, and any business transacations - including mergers and/or aquisitions.

Owler has a clear and concise one-pager on every company it covers.  The Search field uses a convenient "type-ahead" facility.  If a company is not found, it's probably too small to do business with.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Since each profile is created based on crowd-sourced data, there is a fair amount of discrepancies when defining competitors.  There is a lot of overlap between companies; sometimes, a company in several markets will get associated with the wrong competitors.  The company is a freemium model, and it irks me to see additional information blurred out.  It smacks of intentionally trying to make me personally suffer for the economic choices of my employer, not me.  I don't need to be disrespected like that.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick access to who owns who, what are the key firmographics for a company and what does the VC funding landscape look like.  Also, the competitors section is a poor man's version of Look Alike predictive modeling.

The most helpful component of Owler is the daily emails they send highlighting news or web articles on companies we are following, including clients and prospects.

The daily emails include information on related companies to the ones I follow. Still, often the companies are not related to your target companies and there is no way to say you don't want news on a particular related company that shows up in your email almost daily.

Keeping track of important companies to our business without the need to track them online or constantly check for news.  This has enabled us to stay in touch with key companies or prospects on a timely basis.
