**What do you like best about Owler?**

Owler is a good source of market research for companies of all sizes and their competitors. The customizable dashboard where you can set alerts and track companies of interest is very nice. As organizational changes are very important to be aware of, it is nice to have funding/merger/acquisition alerts for early awareness. It is an excellent source for info on company demographics, size, location, revenue, etc. Using Owler can help build a sales pipeline. It allows targeted conversations while being armed with insight into projects and recent events in the company or industry.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

The information provided is helpful, but at times the variation with other websites and tools is substantial, which makes it challenging to rely solely on Owler. In addition, there is some opportunity to improve mobile performance with mobile alerts. Finally, for the typical user, there is limited coaching on how the information provided can be used, so time has to be spent training sales teams unless sales enablement takes care of that.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding basic information about companies and industries is at the core of the value prop for Owler. Finding the company size and tracking M&A is at the core of the way the software works. Finding sales leads is one problem that the software helps to solve. Owler helps improve the knowledge of sales team members before engaging with potential customers.

It's very helpful to have a newsfeed of relevant news and info updates about target accounts you are trying to sell into. Having an actual "trigger" to reference for a real reason to reach out to an account and add value is hard to get elsewhere.

Nothing in particular. Works exactly like it says it does.

Getting info on key target accounts to be "triggers" to reach out to them in a relevant way that adds value.

Latest news on the list is updated every day and now I do not miss the news for the company related to my business.

The information such as number of employees, revenues are not correct most of the time.
Also the competitors listed are not so informative.

Owler provides a list of competitors for every company, which is its most unique and useful feature. This plus being able to follow each company creates a great backdrop for doing the personalized and relevant outreach that's quickly becoming table  stakes in the sales world.

Interface isn't the greatest. To download , save and/or print prospect lists is time consuming and not as easy as it should be.

Personalizing outreach which leads to more sales!

This tool keeps us in the loop on key market trends that we use as triggers for our tailored sales outreach. Works wonders and gets us consistent replies to our sequences.

It is a complex tool that may take time to learn how to use the platform (e.g. all the different integrations and so on).

Real-time intel on changes in target accounts to instantly trigger sales campaigns. Solving the issue of manually researching account insights.

**What do you like best about Owler?**

Really like the ability to quickly find similar companies/competitors. That I can also go in and submit my recommendations for which companies are actually in the same space or competitors of a company is really important as well. I often know a lot of the names in the space I'm researching and why they are competitors so I am glad I get to help share my knowledge. I also appreciate that the s=data is more accurate compared to other data providers.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

I wish that I could get contact/prospect data from Owler. Being able to push that to Salesfore (or Salesloft) would be icing on the cake. That would really make it a one-stop shop for all of my needs.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Owler is letting me quickly and easily find similar companies to the ones I'm currently prospecting to. It also provides me a source of truth when looking at company financials. That I can also find news articles and recent events in one place is a nice bonus that keeps me in the platform without needing to jump around.

Owler is a good source of information. I love receiving on a daily basis, extract with relevant information from the companies with which I compete and relevant news about the company where I work.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

I have been an Owler fan for many years. What I miss is when the free tier offered more functionalities and allowed better access to company profiles, but It is understandable.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As someone who positions software based solutions to different kind of businesses, I need to stay updated about competition changes like M&A, new features, service disruptions, etc. Owler helps you with daily insights.

The many search filter options that other platforms may not have for identifying target companies within certain criteria. Additionally, the daily snapshots delivered to my inbox each morning of relevant news and updates from companies/accounts that I may be working with or hope to.

Based on the daily snapshots emails I receive for my leads, opportunities and accounts associated with my CRM, I find that larger accounts' news and updates often show up more than smaller accounts that I would be interested in seeing more updates for.

Owler is being used by several departments within my organization based on the many use cases that Owler serves. Owler is benefitting my role by putting news and updates in my inbox each morning that I may not have seen through other outlets.

Helps with building compelling events. This is in essence the ammunition required to engage cold prospects with interesting discussions. Additionally the competitor search for addition likeminded companies to target.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Comparisons arent always correct, Far too much information is sent during the morning i.e. i get multiple email threads from Owler on hugely varying topics which occasionally are relevant.

I can understand major events within a business. I can see other relevant competitors to our clients (opportunity for growth due to similar pains). I can use owler to gain instant access to market changes

Ease of use, lots of easily digestible and relevant information spoonfed to me. With a very quick scan I can tell what industry developments are relevant to me and it's easy to get more detail on anything interesting.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Sometimes stories are repeated and obviously, sometimes Owler includes stories which aren't relevant e.g. today it included a competition rather than an actual industry development.

**What problems is Owler solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying informed about my particular industry without spending a lot of time. Owler ensures I don't miss product announcements, new deployments, important corporate or capital markets news relevant to me.

You can find all major information of companies in one place and it is easy to follow up and understand the business of the company and how it is the moment that they are living.

Try to get more information with other entities, like D&B for example and add the information if they have some pending lien or judicial suit. Also organizational chart will be nice to have

For now I believe that it is good. I don't see issues related to system. Does seem to me very flexible tool. Nevertheless it seems a very good tool so far so I'm a fan

UI is not ideal. Also, the techn industry is expanding quite quickly, hopefully they can update as I noticed some missing companies.

Work on UI.

I found Owler to be a valuable tool for easily benchmarking similar companies and getting more detailed information on their estimated annual revenues and valuation.

In some cases, the information I was looking for was not available for every company, mostly among those outside the US.

I appreciate Owler gathering information on technology businesses and being an alternative to other platforms such as Crunchbase.

Good for keeping up to date with new commercial transactions within the industry.

**What do you dislike about Owler?**

Data is spotty and not necessarily objective. Our company offers some of the best 1-to-1 meeting solutions in the world to several top-tier companies. Still, we hardly get any exposure in Owler because we are a small company bootstrapped from a tiny initial investment. We see lots of well-capitalized competitors hogging the limelight. But that's life! Invariably, marketing dollars shape perception and often obscure better products and services.

Owler is a useful source of industry information. But beyond that, we have not derived any significant benefits from our subscription.

I haven't really seen a downside to owler.  Maybe that a lot of the company data is user sourced so sometimes its out of date, but that seems like a difficult issue to solve.

They are making it easy to stay up to date on competitors/ industry trends without having to invest lots of time updating competitive benchmarking docs.  Its a great place to get info on company sizes, updatees, funding, and product changes.

The information is straightforward forward, unlike other websites where it just gets very confusing. I will use it again towards Q4 for doing competitor research.

Honestly, I could not think of any drawbacks. Maybe the pricing could be a bit better but all in all a solid product.

I wish I could see more information about my competitors, especially the private companies, including total headcount, headcount make up, financials, financial track records and owners.

Super helpful not only for my job in the ticketing space but the overall industry news value-add is amazing.  I typically post an Owler article into our internal slack channel 1-2x per week sharing learnings with my colleagues.

I can't think of any one thing in particular that I dislike about the Owler platform.  It's super helpful and I wouldn't change a thing.  It's a part of my morning routine right alongside my morning coffee!

Fast way to see a compilation of news for the day of your selected companies. Ability to just scan the resume email, and jump to the extracted information quickly (and from there to the original - very usefull when wanting to share that news in comercial cold calls).
Very interesting capability for searching about a company.

The free plan is limited to a number of companies you can follow, understandable but a limitation. 
A direct link in the resume email to the original news would be nice (bypassing the Owler detail page).
