I like that Overleaf splits the screen to view the compilation and I can copy projects or use files from one project to another. It's my first time using LaTeX, so I find it useful that it marks errors, suggests commands, and allows me to see half of the screen with the compiler and the other half with the code. The way Overleaf marks errors is unclear, and the solution suggestions are insufficient. Overleaf marks errors, suggests commands, and allows splitting the screen to see the code and the compilation, which is useful being my first time using LaTeX. If you work in an educational institution or you are a student, when you login with your student account or academic account, you get access into a free account. The software provides a good interface and also there are many free templates for any documentation you want to create. The support from the latex guide is great (if you are using latex) It is a very useful LaTex editor for sure. It is much more transparent than many other competitors. For me, the learning curve of how to work on it was pretty intense as I have no experience coding.
