## OutSystems Reviews
  ### 1. Rapid Development Helps, but the Longrun agility/mainatinability

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maarten v. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

The platform itself is developing. There is a lively comunity. That really helps. On rapid development it is great, but....

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

if the systems get to big it will hold you back. The technical environment needed, (on prem, so like VM's and keep those up-and-running is a lot of work. Also automated creation of automated test, should be part of this development environment. It feels great for start, but how do I keep it lean in the future? So I would like more on Operations

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create a SAAS solution for First line healthcare (GP & Pharmacy) Rappid Development is main reason for Outsystems.

  ### 2. Effortless Development with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

I like the ease of use and the low-code approach of OutSystems. It's a big advantage that it can be ported into different systems and serves as a repository for APIs. The platform also supports our internal tools and offers a general ease of development, which is its main advantage.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

I think the migration from version 11 to ODC could be more handheld. Right now, we're just informed this is a new platform, but the migration process isn't as straightforward as just porting everything over to a new setup. That could have been better. I think just general more awareness on new features and more support to accelerate development.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OutSystems is helping improve our task fulfillment ratios, which positively impacts revenue and the bottom line.

  ### 3. Deploy Quickly and Solid Security

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davide C. | Impiegato, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

I appreciate the deployment and security of OutSystems. Certainly, the AI-based security systems it provides are excellent. Thanks to this, we can do a lot of things. Furthermore, everyone in the company is excited because OutSystems is doing very well in almost every aspect. We found the initial setup very fast and secure, and we immediately got started with the first application.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

Nothing

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OutSystems supports all activities for internal customers, I appreciate the deployment and security.

  ### 4. Transforma el desarrollo de software complejo con facilidad

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** julia t.

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Official Response from Erin Koerpel:**

> We are very pleased to know that your organization has gained numerous benefits since the implementation of OutSystems. We appreciate your sincere feedback and thank you for being part of the OutSystems community. We will work to earn your five-star review in the future, Julia!

  ### 5. Outsystems O11 Developer

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

The high-velocity development helps me produce new applications quickly.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

O11, which many companies use, feels a bit deprecated, but I’m excited about the news that agentic is now available on O11.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to Publish
Easy to learn
Easy to modernize some code

  ### 6. Easy Setup, But Lacks Local Development Support

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

I like that OutSystems is easy to use, which helps when I'm assisting customers in achieving their goals. The built-in login system is great because it makes access really easy. Setting up OutSystems was also very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

Developing in teams is hard because of not having own local development environment.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OutSystems helps in refunding extra payments to customers easily, and I find its built-in login system makes access straightforward.

  ### 7. Great for Portfolio Orchestration, But Vendor Lock-In Shifts Complexity

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

Managing and orchestrating application portfolios.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

It pushes you into vendor lock-in. On top of that, it often just moves the complexity elsewhere instead of genuinely making things less painful.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with time-to-market and day-to-day operations, and it also supports refining products over time.

  ### 8. An amazing low-code platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

I am not an OutSystems user or developer. However, I am part of a development team as an integrations and middleware specialist. The biggest benefit I see in OutSystems is the speed and ease of use my colleagues have when developing and maintaining apps. Furthermore, the "simplicity" of the platform allows me to easilly see and know what my colleagues are working on or what is going on in a specific application.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

The "simplicity" I mentioned is also the reason I don't like to work with the platform because I don't like low-code. However, the fact that it is not for me does not mean it is bad in anyway.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to:
 - Cffload parts of our ERP system in a separate application that is highly custimisable
 - Create applications for users to create and view orders
 - Create an application application for employees to log ideas for improvement
 - ...

  ### 9. Easy Low-Code Tool to Use Without Development Know-How

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

Low Code to use easy without Development know how

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

I do Not have anything which I dislike at OS

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 10. We used to be happy users, hopefully a new strategy with ODC and 11 integrated makes us happy again.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oscar W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

Fast development with low code. Many knowledge in Portugal, so our oddice in Coimbra is a great success.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

Low code is not citizen development. Required still very solid developers. Test automation is also difficult with changing ID's for components.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have business problems which we can fix with an app based on the data of our ERP system

  ### 11. Awesome application

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** André A. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

I appreciate how quickly I can use it when developing applications. Its speed really streamlines the creation process.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

The easiness that it gives to people using as almost not a technical language

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool allows me to work faster than if I were using a different language.

  ### 12. Dev

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

The platform is rapidly evolving and very easy to get started with. It also offers Go courses, which is a great addition.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

The cost of the service limits opportunities in certain countries.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product is evolving quickly and making a noticeable impact in the market.

  ### 13. Exciting and helpful.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

The wide range of presentations and sessions.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

The fact that the promotional sessions are not that practical. You don't get dates, rates, the practical information in using the new applications.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building an ERP.

  ### 14. Good Front End, Good Back End, Mediocre Integrations, Very Predatory Pricing Model

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan P. | Platform Ops Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2023

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

The product is excellent for UI dev, and the platform servers are rock solid - great even. Excellent rapid prototyping tool with a very solid TSM program to enable standup.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

Everything between the UI (excellent) and platform server (solid product) is do-it-yourself nonsense getting into varying degrees of vaporware. We figured it out, but the tooling has a big gap for actual enterprise development. The changes in pricing are predatory bordering on theft. It was nearly overpriced even before the huge rate hikes. They tout it as "anyone can code" but when you bring them problems they say "you should be better at coding" instead of putting guard rails and real quality gates into the product. It's on you to make it work not them.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reactive Web application development

  ### 15. Great Platform - Too expensive

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

  ### 16. A simple way to deliver fast

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2022

**What do you like best about OutSystems?**

Easy to use, with complex components already built in. The capacity of using javascript to extend functionalities places this platform far ahead of the competition.

**What do you dislike about OutSystems?**

Typical programmers tend to dislike visual programming at first. It's only after working for few weeks on it that people will realize how pre-built components and connectors can speed up delivery.

**What problems is OutSystems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Oustystems we can help organizations develop skills to become actors in their solutions. As a result, our customers can have better control, which overall leads better success.

  ### 17. Wonderful system to be used
