## Outreach Reviews
  ### 1. Clunky Workflow, Rigid Sequences, and Data Accuracy Issues in Outreach

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan K. | Business Development Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

As an SDR, I like that Outreach keeps everything in one place and makes my day easier to manage. The sequences help me stay on top of follow-ups without having to think too much about it, and it saves a lot of time on manual work. I also like being able to quickly see who’s engaging so I know where to focus.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

I can feel a little clunky at times especially when you’re moving between tasks or trying to make quick updates. Sequences are great, but they can be a bit rigid if you want to customize things on the fly. Also, some of the data isn’t always perfectly accurate, so you still have to double-check before reaching out.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an SDR, Outreach helps solve the problem of staying organized and consistent with a high volume of outreach. Without it, it’d be really easy to miss follow-ups or lose track of where prospects are in the process. It benefits me by keeping everything structured - so I can move faster, stay on top of my pipeline, and spend more time actually talking to prospects instead of managing tasks.

  ### 2. Predatory Contracts

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin H. | Chief Technology Officer // Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

They sent us to collections even though we told them we gave a 30-day notice. after talking to collections they confirmed we did in fact give 30 day notice and closed the claim. a lot of wasted time and dozens of emails back and forth.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Their product is ok, but quickly going out of date - competitors and AI are rendering their solution obsolete. We would have been more willing to support them if they didn't enforce predatory contracts.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After seven years as a client of Outreach, we initially found the platform invaluable for documenting our cold outreach to potential clients. However, over time, the platform has not evolved to meet modern demands. Today, there are numerous alternatives that offer superior performance, enhanced features, more insightful reporting, and at a significantly lower cost. It is also mindblowing that their billing is still a completely separate platform with different login credentials - making billing issues brutally painful to navigate

  ### 3. Outreach has too many bugs to be a useful tool. I Do NOT recommend.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I like that when Outreach Kaia is activated, it records meetings and provides a transcript so that it's easy review what was said when making notes after the call if needed. The reporting functions in Commit are also nice to a point.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Ever since we switched to Outreach it's been a constant battle to see what the next bug will be. My computer has had issues with Chrome crashing, which apparently is a known Outreach bug. Sometimes when we try to access a template, we get a sad emoji-looking square that pops up. You can't skip a step in a sequence without risking it breaking the sequence for some reason, which used to be possible with our previous system and is helpful when we've just reached out to a customer but still want the automatic reminder to reach out. Ring Central has issues all the time to the point I usually have to make a call separately and then log it in Outreach.
Basically, I find the buggy issues in Outreach to be more of a hindrance to my productivity than the positive elements it might have. It's also not user-friendly. It took several training sessions for us to understand where to go to find the items that used to be easy to use in SalesLoft. Their training team also needs work because the trainers we dealt with did not seem to understand what we needed and while they were willing to have several sessions with us, most of them were not helpful at all.
SalesLoft also had an amazing report function where we could customize our own reports and move the columns around to make it easy to see whichever columns the user wanted to see. It was so easy stay on top of our pipeline and make edits from the report. With Outreach, the customization is only at the company level so we are all stuck with the columns we get in the order we get them. Since several teams use Outreach we each have to deal with data that doesn't relate to us to make it work for all.
I can't stress enough how much Outreach takes time out of my day with bug issues more often than it helps me with my sales process. I do NOT recommend it.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's supposed to be helping me be more productive and efficient in the sales process. It has lots of features such as tracking calls, emails and meetings along with reports but due to how many bugs it has, I don not feel it benefits me much or often.

  ### 4. Outreach cut me off without notice, unresponsive ever since, and left me scrambling to rebuild

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert P. | Founder, CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The software itself is fine — it does what most other sales engagement platforms do: manage sequences, track activity, and support outreach campaigns. But frankly, that doesn’t matter if the company behind the tool treats customers the way Outreach has treated me.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Outreach terminated my account without any notice, warning, or communication whatsoever — despite the fact that my account was on automatic renewal and had been active for several years. One day I simply could not log in, and when I reached out, I was told the only way to get access back was to buy five licenses I don’t need, at a much higher cost.

This is a forced upsell by cutting off existing customers — and it completely contradicts their own Terms of Service, which require:

- 60 days’ notice before changing fees,
- 30 days’ written notice to terminate auto-renew, and
- Notice before suspending an account for billing issues.

Outreach provided none of those notices.

Worse, after that first and ONLY curt response from their sales rep, the company has been virtually unresponsive. I escalated my concerns to multiple sales leaders, VP-level contacts, and customer success — and received no reply for days. Outreach is happy to send a dismissive upsell email, but not to address the fact they cut off a long-time customer without explanation.

Because of this, I have lost access to my own data stored in the platform. That means years of history, records, and workflows are now inaccessible to me. I now have no choice but to rebuild everything — sequences, integrations, automations — from scratch in a new software. That process is not just expensive, it’s highly disruptive to my business operations.

This is not just a bad customer experience — it’s unprofessional, predatory behavior. Outreach clearly does not value small or mid-sized clients. If they decide your account is no longer worth their time, they will simply cut you off without warning, ignore your complaints, and leave you scrambling.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach isn’t solving problems for me anymore — it created them. After years as a paying client, my account was cut off without notice and I lost access to all my data. Instead of solving sales engagement challenges, Outreach has left me with a bigger problem: I now have to rebuild all of my integrations, automations, and sequences in an entirely new platform just to get back to where I was.

Any initial benefit I got from automating outreach has been completely erased by how they handled my account. Outreach isn’t helping me close deals or scale sales — it’s forcing me to waste time and money migrating to a competitor because they abruptly locked me out and refused to respond.

  ### 5. Much the same as all the big players in the outreach space - overpriced and poor customer support

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

It has many similar capabilities to other products out there, powerful and expensive. After spending months trying to address some integration issues and not being able to use the product, their team didn't even respond to my ticket. We have sinced moved provider to something agile, easy to use that works well for small teams.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

They should work on customer support and fixing bugs.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prospecting - realised in Outreach and alternative products.

  ### 6. Outreach isn't for Hubspot CRM users.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vamsi C. | Revenue Operations, Media Production, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I like the sequences, triggers, rulesets.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

- They don't have native Hubspot CRM integtration and the current integration is via Hubspot and Hubspot isn't trying to solve the sync issues with Outreach integration on their end and Outreach has no clue about it.

- The Hubspot<>Outreach sync breaks once in every two weeks and it scans through all the records and all the contacts and accounts created during that time will not be synced until the full scan is completed and its affecting BDs productivity.

- Been seeing alot of issues with Outreach recently. The emails fail all of a sudden and we have to keep checking Outreach failure section all the time. It says the email failed due to inbox sync failure. But, other one-off emails go.

- Small issues were unresolved over a period of time like Sequence stats bulk export, emails, emails sent on Admin behalf instead of the actual user,

- Outreach is not meant for small teams with less than 30 BDs and have a Hubspot CRM.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Creating automated campaigns.
- tracking email opens/clicks/replies
- dialer

  ### 7. Really, Really bad customer support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vipul A. | CRO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Honestly, nothing. The platform is very basic and claim to solve a lot bigger sales problem.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Really bad customer support. Their billing and support portal never logs in. They never reply to emails and during renewals, they forget their customers completely. I am not sure how the company is even running with this kind of service.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not benefiting at all. On top of it, it doesn't integrate with Linkedin. I prefer, Lemlist and other tools are far better than outreach

  ### 8. Bad dialer

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Facilities Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

nothing this is the worst dialer on the market do not buy

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

everyhting, not user friendly doesnt even work.. we are massive company and were sold a lemon.. customer support is non existant

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

creating more

  ### 9. Gets the job done but is terrible when it comes to exporting

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I use it everyday as a salesperson. It get the job done. I think the UI is cleaner that Salesloft but apollo is a bit better. Customer support is passable.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

I've used apollo.io and salesloft before and this has got to be the worst software when it comes to importing contacts from Salesforce. I've lost hours of my life doing this extremely simple task. A task that is a no brainer on other platforms I've used.

This drawback more than cancels out all of the positives.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For making calls and scheduling emails

  ### 10. Not a true partner.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo V. | Director Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The platform is as you would expect from any Sales Execution platform.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

When time came to needing a partner and someone willing to work with our company they disappeared and put their own interest over the partnership.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach claims to help companies increase proformance but are not a company that truly partners with their customers.

**Official Response from Bianca Wood:**

> We're sorry to hear about your disappointment with our partnership. We strive to provide excellent support and collaboration with our customers. We value your feedback and would like to understand more about your situation to address any concerns. Please reach out to our support team at https://support.outreach.io/hc/en-us and we will be happy to assist you with your concerns.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

  ### 11. The worst outbound platform by far!!! DO NOT GET NEAR!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Absolutely nothing. Their software is an absolute disaster, riddled with an abundance of infuriatingly clunky, muddled, and dreadfully inefficient bugs. To make matters worse, their so-called "customer support" is non-existent, leaving you stranded and abandoned in a sea of frustration. Their contracts are a masterclass in draconian oppression, expertly crafted to ensnare you with strict, minuscule clauses that twist the knife in your gut, amplifying the torment of dealing with their abysmal product.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Oh, where do I even begin with Outreach? This outbound app is a prime example of everything gone wrong in software design. It's like they gathered a team of amateurs to cobble together this abomination. The user interface is a hot mess, resembling a chaotic collage of mismatched elements from the early 2000s. Navigating through the labyrinth of confusion is an exercise in frustration, as if they purposefully designed it to waste your time.

The functionality? Don't even get me started. It's as reliable as a house of cards in a hurricane. Glitches, crashes, and inexplicable errors are daily occurrences. It's astounding how they managed to release something so utterly unpolished and unstable.

And their customer support? Might as well be talking to a brick wall. They're a masterclass in indifference and incompetence. You'll find yourself stuck in a loop of canned responses that do nothing to address the actual issues you're facing.

To add insult to injury, their pricing is a highway robbery. They charge a fortune for a product that delivers subpar performance and an infuriating user experience. It's almost impressive how they manage to overcharge for such a shoddy service.

In summary, Outreach is a shining example of how to create a product that disappoints at every turn, leaving you questioning why you ever bothered in the first place.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach, the epitome of a hollow promise. This so-called solution is akin to putting a band-aid on a sinking ship. It touts grand claims of revolutionizing outbound engagement, but in reality, it's more like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

The core issue? It doesn't solve a darn thing. You're left grappling with the same problems you had before, only now you're lighter in the wallet. The touted efficiency is a mirage, and any productivity gains promised are but a cruel joke.

Their pitch about transforming outreach strategies? A clever illusion. It's a facade of innovation, masking a product that fails to address the fundamental challenges faced by businesses. Rather than solving problems, Outreach merely adds to the ever-growing list of frustrations.

If you're seeking a solution that actually makes a difference, steer clear of Outreach. It's a masterclass in empty promises and missed opportunities, leaving you with the bitter taste of regret for ever considering it as a viable option.

  ### 12. Quite expensive and its not user friendly also

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Its just give you good analytics apart from it nothing special about this tool.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Support is not good apart from it the tool has lot og Bugs with respect to Clicks and at a time a prospect has replied to the email but the reply has received to my gmail id but not reflected in outreach.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplying helping me to send emails and calls apart from it analytics of prospect.

  ### 13. User Experience Overlooked

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Outreach has an incredibly powerful backend and the in-app analytics are very strong.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

The user interface is pretty shocking. As a user of numerous other sales engagement software, this is really sad. It's unintuitive, confusing, the salesforce integration isn't great and I'd honestly rather use excel...

Ease of use is a key area they can improve on:
- Colour scheme is painful. There is virtually no contrast, making it difficult to navigate (comparing to competitors).
- Information is unintuitively setup across the entire platform.
- Really poor flows adding prospects to sequences or accessing information.
- Static search (really? in 2024?).
- Platform is slow and clunky.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach helps us outreach customers and prospects (it's in the name).

**Official Response from Meredith Franks Winslow:**

> We hear your concerns about the user interface and ease of use. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we have some exciting updates coming shortly! Thanks for sharing your feedback.

  ### 14. Terrible customer service! They do not value your relationship once they have you signed up.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Everything I liked about outreach can be found in other solutions.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

They are very slow to respond and break things too often. The feature releases always come with bugs. Often breaking other integrations and fail to show you where the problem lies. they don't play well with any CRM. Intgrations are always poor and data accuacy can never be achieved.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They no longer solve a unique challenge. Many of the things they solved for are built into modern CRMs. Because they integrations never work, it's better to stay within one system.

**Official Response from Meredith Franks Winslow:**

> We're sorry to hear about your experience. We strive to provide excellent customer service and value all our relationships. Your feedback is important to us and we are continuously working to improve our services and ensure a seamless experience for our users. If you have any specific concerns or would like us to follow up on any issues, please reach out to our support team, and we will be happy to assist you with individual concerns. Easiest way to reach support is to log into the Outreach Support Portal, click "Contact Support" at the top of any page.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  ### 15. Most Chaotic Sales Tool out there

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The software has the basic ability to compose sequences, schedule emails, set reminders, create messaging, etc... Basically all of the basic functionality you would ask for from a BDR or Sales team.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

The tool does not work, it never recognizes the emails I've got in a new email and is impossible to get it to refresh. You basically have to close it out and open it back up for every single action. +there is no product support to be found.

Operating in the gmail app as well as the pull out and stand alone site is just chaotic, there's no other way I can think of to put it, there's rarely a "back" button, so if you navigaste away, it's impossible to get back to where you were efficient.

It logs you out of the app DAILY, so you've got to reload gmail, log in and then reload gmail again.

The mass editing is terrible, to really customize sequences you need to send the sequences one by one- I'm sure the sales people at outreach can talk aroudn this but it's not as easy as it is with other apps like Yesware.

Adding/editing contacts- The UI/UX is terrible, it won't lay things out in a way where you know what you're editing, no way to go back on these edits.

I can not stand this tool, Yesware is better hands down. I've used Outreach for 2+ years, the echo that's heard throughout out org is to get Yesware instead.

The email opens tracking is useless- It doesn't work.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Buy Yesware or another solution instead.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending mass emails, doing large amounts of outreach faster, setting reminders for emails, Gerneral sales tasks- out reach, keeping up with people, getting reminders when somebody has not responded.

  ### 16. Terrible renewal policy and billing

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

OK product with campaigns and A/B testing in 2020 but there are a dozen offerings providing similar features for much lower costs or even free.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

I emailed the team to cancel my renewal as I moved off of the system. Instead, the billing team ignored my email for 2 weeks, sent me the renwal notice, and charged my credit card.

I've contacted billing, support, and renewals 6 times in the last 3 weeks and was notified that they would do nothing about it and the team was "resolute in their determination". Ignoring my cancellation and charging seems like an awful, manipulative way to boost sales.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending outbound emails to prospects

  ### 17. Subpar at Best

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlin H. | Inside Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The UI looks really nice with the new update. That's about it though, honestly.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

It doesn't work. Our organization has had so many issues with it and when we've had what I think was their support team try to help us and they don't seem to know how to use it either. It consistently doesn't let me place calls, if you leave notes somewhere it's almost impossible to find them afterwards, constant error messages, duplicate contacts, I could go on. There is even a built-in feature that toggles the number of emails you're allowed to send, "especially on Monday mornings," to quote their Support Staff. This feature auto schedules emails to go out later in the day or the following day, which causes issues for obvious reasons. We aren't even some large organization with a huge BDR staff sending hundreds of mass emails. Literally just trying to follow up with my little 25 prospects and can't even do that.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides me with another tool to reach out to prospects and integrates with Salesforce for analytics. I'm not sure that it does anything Salesforce can't do though, but purchasing and keeping this product is not my call.

**Official Response from Yana D.:**

> Hi Kaitlin, I am very sorry to hear about your experience and the issues you have encountered. I'd like to be sure we get this addressed with you right away. Please feel free to email customer-feedback@outreach.io and I'll look to help get this resolved with our support team. Sincerely, Yana

  ### 18. Product not friendly for sales user due to aesthetics and autonomy

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Customizeable interface is nice, but many of the options are unnecessary and the widgets we'd actually find useful on that dashboard for our org are not available or market specific. E.G. You have the ability to put Tech Crunch as a widget but not Indeed Job posts, since we work in staffing, we don't really need tech crunch, we need indeed; ziprecruiter; select leaders; expresshr; glassdoor; ideal to name a few. None of that insight is available and so we have to go outside of Outreach to find it.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Product features highlight what the software did as more important than what information I want stored.

E.G. You made a note! < Huge font.
Your actual note < Small font less readable.

Aesthetically, I have to do multiple clicks to find out what happened on my last call / email.

I have no autonomy to create my own sequences and have to manually do everything.

There is not an option to mass email.

I don't know if our sales enablement team is to blame or outreach, but it's been a terrible experience.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a dialer and a manual emailer. We probably pay WAAAAY to much for that. Your software has been a complete headache and process killer.

  ### 19. Terrible outbound tool, pathetic support

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Virginia H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Not much honestly, this CRM has caused more pain than good. Support is robotic, lousy and can't even show up to a scheduled call.

I can't wait for our Rev Ops to evaluate other CRMs.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Having used 3 CRMs before as a sales rep, never once have I spent so much time resolving issues with their support team.

Their UI for outbound is terrible, the tiny window for sending emails that can't be maximised.

Several issues in the last months. Calls not being recorded, calls not showing up on your activity, many more.

Today I had a call scheduled with Ayesha from the support team and she didn't even show up nor reply to my email during the scheduled slot.

Please avoid this tool at all costs.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach is supposed to be an outbound tool, but so many things break on the platform you start wondering why so many companies purchased this tool. I've never spent so much time dealing with CRM issues as a rep.

**Official Response from Yana D.:**

> Hi Virginia, I am very sorry to hear about your experience and the issues you have encountered. I'd like to be sure we get this addressed with you right away. Please feel free to email customer-feedback@outreach.io and I'll look to help get this resolved with our support team. Sincerely, Yana

  ### 20. No way to cancel. An employee signed up two years ago and we are still being charged.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carter S. | Director of Data Partnerships, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

They're awful. No support whatsoever. We've spent two years trying to get in contact with them without any meaningful response. There's no way to resolve this issue.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

There is no way to contact them. They have no phone line, no chat, and they don't respond to emails. We have been charged thousands with no way to cancel. We have emailed them for two years with no resolution. We would have to cancel our company card to cancel. It's insane.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No way to cancel. An employee signed up two years ago and we have been trying to cancel ever since. We don't have his email because he is no longer part of the company.

  ### 21. Not Robust, worse than Salesloft

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I like to colors and some of the reporting.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

"sequence" building is so basic, and terrible to use. Simply managing where a prospect is in a sequence is a 3-5 step process. In and out of so many tabs. Google extension is annoying. Everything takes twice as long (IF you can even do it) than SalesLoft.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping keep track of prospects

  ### 22. Bad customer support, got my email account blocked twice

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Price, and integration with gmail. It took me a few weeks to learn the software but I think I got most of it

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Horrible support... they don't have a chat functionality nor a phone line for any kind of live support. They have a support email address, but I have emailed them multiple times with no one responding.

They promised to allow two email accounts attached to one subscription but don't bother helping me to set it up. Should have known when they don't even have a sandbox.

Overall, I'm only using this software because its the first one I'm trying and want to get used to the process. Will switch out as soon as the 1-year subscription ends.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting used to lead gen software and understanding the terminology.

**Official Response from Chris Branding:**

> Very sorry to hear about your support experience. Please know that we are here to help you however we can and sorry that hasn't happened up to this point. If you'd like to email me directly at customer-feedback@outreach.io I can look to get you connected with the appropriate Outreachers in order to get you the support you need.

Update... we were experiencing issues with Google/Gmail over the last few days so that's most likely why it isn't working. I'm looking into that now, so thanks for sharing that error message. In the meantime, feel free to email me directly at chris.branding@outreach.io and I'll be happy to assist.

  ### 23. Unusable after latest update. Total garbage - don't bother

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric J. | Sales Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Used to be top tier sales engagement software, but the team there is so focused on expansion that the core product has been completely neglected. Unusable after the latest update - we've got 400+ reps on this and I am writing up and RFP to send to other vendors as we speak. Outreach has become so big it's turned to garbage. 100% do not recomend

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Service and support is awful / useless. They nickel and dime you for everything. Licenses are crazy expensive compared to competitors. Constant design and interface changes that make it impossible to use correctly, and the CSM would rather upsell you then fix their crap.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use (not for much longer hopefully) outreach on our sales team. Wish we had bought Salesloft instead, outreach is a 500k headache

  ### 24. The Worst Customer Service and Account Management of Any Software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The emailing capabilities are fine but better tools on the market that aren't as limited with ability to do SMS + emailing

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Customer service + technical

Outreach software resulted in our emails going spam more than any other email sending clients. Their support team tried to troubleshoot this but failed to come to a conclusion and placed the blame on us when 3 other sending clients worked perfectly with no issues.

We closed our account and got hit with bills for 10 months after repeatedly telling them it was closed

We would then get contacted by a variet of other reps trying to sell us on new features even though 0 team members from support / billing would reply.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email cadences - worked for a few months then led to spam issues that no other email client was having so it was isolated to outreach

  ### 25. The worst SaaS product I have ever used.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Creating a list of prospects is ok - seeing previous threads works ok - not much else good to say about this product it's pretty bad.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

This product is so bad - sets out to help be more productive but makes teams way less productive. The bugs and badly thought out features never seem to end.

There are endless bugs with salesforce integration it works about 5% of the time max - do not use if you will rely on this integrating with salesforce. The bugs are endless and support teams just tell you that it's because of other chrome extensions when it is clearly not.

It's awkward to use and hard to get into a productive flow - just really badly designed overall. Good for sales leaders for reporting I guess but awful for BDRs who have to put up with this all day and really affects their productivity. Would go with any other competitor.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sequences are pretty useful.

  ### 26. Poorly functioning "enterprise" app

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex K. | Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Sequences are easy to set up. Integrated dialer. Easy to work through tasks for the end user.

The best aspect of the tool is sequence management.

Salesloft is way better.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Reporting is awful. Cannot easily see why people are responding to a message.

Web app is so slow and laggy. If it could perform page loads in under 5 seconds, that would be a win. The integration with Salesforce is extremely slow.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple sequence management

  ### 27. Small-medium businesses beware - Outreach will leave you in the dark.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chantel S. | Madison Host, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

We really enjoy the ability to schedule and automate the outbound sales outreach with direct integration to some of our favorite solutions. This offers a robust approach as well as some decent reporting.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

There is absolutely zero customer appreciation or customer service. We have tried to connect with support on multiple occasions, from billing needs/inquiries to technical questions regarding why our bounce rates are so high, and our project manager has left our questions unanswered and ignores our outreach. Billing doesn't have time for us, but when talking to our agency vendors, they are excited to work with Outreach support and never have any issues. It's not easy being a small fish in a big pond.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sales outreach at scale with integration into other platforms to provide a robust outbound strategy. This helps us save time and increase productivity because we can rely on the automation.

  ### 28. Outreach is actual Trash. Avoid like the plague

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Honestly, the calendaring system. Nothing else in Outreach is worth it. I'm en end rep, this system is clunky, it sucks, there is no point to launching it. This is pointless, truly pointless to have.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Everything:
1. Schedule to send later doesnt work, ever.
2. Adding contacts to SFDC barely works.
3. SCHEDULING EMAILS NEVER WORKS. It's mission-critical, I can't trust this system anymore. I have had important emails just not sent due to Outreach. I would churn off of them in a heartbeat but as a rep its not my choice.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It doesnt solve my problems it casues more of them, SOPS bought the fancy tool but the fancy tool sucks. I am so tired of Outreach, their support team and my team not making changes.

  ### 29. Good for very basic task (automate a few emails) but not good at all for everything else

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

It is a good tool if you just want to automate email campaigns

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Should you want to :
- Use the insights and reporting of your campaigns
-Change the time your email is sent for specific prospects
-Copy past an outlook email in Outreach
-Make sure that the contacts you add to sequences want to be contacted (not adding contacts that explicitly said they did not want to contact), ....
-Much more...

It is not the tool for you. It is a tool that looks good on the surface, but when you start using it daily, you will very quickly see the limitations. There are lots of better alternatives out there ...

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending basic mailing campaigns

  ### 30. Outdated platform

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

So far I have not seen anything that makes it look any better than others

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Creating cadences does not make sense from a UX/UI perspective - unable to drop and drag tasks. What should take 20 mins took over an hour!

Another stupid thing is the way you are expected to listen to live calls. As a manager you need to go to "in progress" calls and constantly refresh the page - what the hell???

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating outreach and keeping it simple for SDRs to follow a program

  ### 31. Awful customer service, and a lot of lies during the sales process

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsay G. | Sales Marketing Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The software is robust and looks good, but I couldn't sync my CRM (Hubspot) to the software.. after they reached out to me and told me along the whole process that there is a proper integration between the two.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

The customer service is awful. When I asked them for help integrating the software, they told me Hubspot owned the integration, so they could not help.

Thinking about it, it seems weird that I need to talk to Hubspot about integration for software I didn't buy from them. Hubspot told me that this is Outreach's problem, so I found myself going back and forth between them. As a result of me giving up and asking for a refund from Outreach (after a month of back and forth), they have stopped answering my emails.

Having said that, I'm wondering if you'd be interested in purchasing it?

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Just don't buy it.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

**Official Response from Chris Branding:**

> Lindsay, very sorry to hear about your experience and the issues you have encountered. I'd like to be sure we get this addressed with you right away. Please feel free to email me directly at chris.branding at outreach.io and I'll look to help get this resolved with our support and account teams. Sincerely, Chris

  ### 32. Horrible support

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Our team is able to automate email sequences.
Is it better than the other tools in the space? I don't know.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

What has triggered writing this review is that we have been having issues with emails not being sent (BDR team of 4 not being able to send emails) for several weeks.
The Outreach support team has been largely unresponsive or replying with generic FAQ style junk that has not been helpful.

Also, based on what our account rep has told us, there is no option to generate a weekly or monthly report via email.
As a leader, I need to log into the tool to see a report.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending higher volume of emails.

  ### 33. Very clunky, terrible UX

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter F. | Business Systems Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Ability to put people into email campaigns, the ease at which we can do this is quite astounding

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Limits on the number of emails per user and per org- these are way too low for a SMB like ours

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recording of calls and sequences of emails

  ### 34. Harder to use than it should be. I wish it could do less but better

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

It is easy to copy sequences and offers quite a few different activities to include in a sequence

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

It is both buggy and difficult to use. We have been trying to get customer support to help with an issue for 2 weeks and only today were they open to having a call rather than trying to handle email back and forth. Also, everything just seems more difficult to use than it should. I don't get prompted to fix an issue when something fails in a sequence and it is difficult to manage tasks in any useful way.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is pretty standard for the software in this industry, but the goal is to make it easier to reach more prospects and follow -up with them appropriately.

  ### 35. Do not recommend using this software, extremely buggy and has been a huge hassle for our sales team

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I liked the automation with sequences, the ability to easily create and review reports, the simple way of managing tasks and updating accounts with relevant roles for prospects. Outreach is an all-in-one system, with outbound dialing, email, and tracking.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

The integration with Salesforce leaves much to be desired, tons of issues, and complex setup and upkeep. Customer service is non-existent, if you have more than a surface-level question, you will have a better time finding the answer on Google. The inability to create specific list views and the range of filtering available is very limited. An easier way to sequence an entire account would be fantastic, currently you can only sequence select prospects and when dealing with thousands of accounts this can become messy. Their software is extremely glitchy, having outages more and more often resulting in our reps needing to use their cell phones, rendering our use of outreach obsolete. We find ourselves constantly needing to update permissions and fix broken integrations. The experience started out decently positive but has greatly gone downhill, with both quality of service and lack of support. Buyer Beware.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

don't

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an outbound system for Sales activities, and management to bring on new customers and accounts to our org.

**Official Response from Chris Branding:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback. Our goal is to continue to improve the Outreach platform. We would like to connect with you to be sure we can solve any current issues you may be experiencing, especially as it concerns your integration. We'd also like to collect any additional feedback for future improvements. If you are interested in connecting further, shoot us a note at customer-feedback@outreach.io and an Outreacher will be in touch soon to discuss. Feel free to reach out to your account team directly and they'll be able to provide support on anything pressing. Thanks again, appreciate the insights.

  ### 36. The worst experience with an AE

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Probably, it's one of the strongest sales tools out there

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Communication with an AE is absolutely terrible. Rude, arrogant, not interested in talking to a potential customer at all.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cold outreach

  ### 37. Terrible software, claims they have a native salesforce integration but it doesn't work at all

  ### 38. Using Outreach as an SDR

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Checking peoples engagement with you. Being able to know when people are opening my emails is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

It took supper 3 days to respond to my message with a knowledge doc that didn't help.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Make Call recording free. Have agents email you back in less than 24 hours.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need better support

  ### 39. SDR overview of platform

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The integrations with all major platforms such as Salesforce, Gmail, and Alyce. It's fast and efficient. The customer service you receive from account managers to Outreach team is great. Helpful training videos and live training are always available.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Sometimes when calling prospects, the call fails, BUT if you try again, 99% of the time, the call works.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Take the training sessions it will pay off and will be a huge time saver in the end.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I will never forget a prospect again with Outreach. Cost-effective compared to other platforms out there. We are now able to pull reporting easily.

  ### 40. Not a good tool

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Griffin M. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The only thing good about this tool is the UI. It is clean and clear but unfortunately, it is just pretty wrapping for a poorly performing product.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Outreach is a tool that should be fairly painless and not really ever cross your mind when you are using it. However, I find myself frustrated with it every time I go to use it. It is constantly freezing my Gmail and resizing my browser with its sidebar functionality. The calendar booking feature feels very dated and is never adding my coworkers to the email invite even when they are manually added to the time slots.

The connection to SFDC feels very cumbersome, adding prospects to outreach (something that for some reason has to be done for every person you want to schedule time) does not automatically add them into of SFDC instance. Additionally, there seems to be no easy way to connect the existing SFDC reports we use for email flows. We have been working with our outreach CSM on this for weeks and it is still not working right.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to use the tool for automated emails and easy calendar booking.

  ### 41. Run away. Dont get into a sunk cost situation with a subpar software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Outreach is better than working off a stack of business cards or phone book

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

As a rep, pretty much everything. There are random fields that don't make sense. Sync from Salesforce doesn't work the way you would want it to. There's little to no customizability. Fields are general and unhelpful. Things break, then it takes an hour to figure out what's broken and fix it. Scheduled tasks get lost in automated tasks as there are few ways to sort and differentiate between them.

Lets say you have a cadence, and you want to do all of your 3rd step phone calls before lunch, good luck. There's no way to identify "I want to do this task" short of tagging every prospect in that step of the cadence with some asinine tag and sorting off that tag. I spend as much time figuring out how to navigate and work around Outreach as I do using Outreach productively.

I can't sort leads by timezone. I cant see notes on old calls without moving to an entirely new page. The whole bundle is frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Run away. The problem we have is that so much legacy data is tied up in Outreach that it would be a nightmare to migrate

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated marketing.

  ### 42. Most confusing psopect tracking software I have ever used

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The built in dialer is nice. The fact that I can do pretty much everything from my Gmail account makes life much better in many respects, so I don't need to sign into the outreach system to call people if I need to call them. Very lastly, the outreach univeristy is helpful for me to learn the basics, but it is just the basics.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Almost everything else about the system. The search parameters are only on the name levels.. accounts or "prospects". If I need to find text within a note left by a sales development representative, I can't do that. The most efficient way on a "prospect by prospect" basis is to download their logged calls and their logged tasks, expand everything and then open it in as a csv file and search within the sheet.
There is no distinction between "prospects" (leads) and contacts on the account level so as someone who works with signed clients, I get all the noise on the account level, not just the applicable contacts.
I hate that I can't search for a specific note or task. When I go into calls, it only shows the first line of the notes so I need to drill in to see content, and then when I click back because it was the wrong one, if I had scrolled to where I was, it would reset to the top of the page and I would need to start my manual search over again.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am being forced to use it, it doesn't solve problems for me and I do not see any real benefit outside of the dialer.

  ### 43. Best In Class... At Marketing. Slow and Inefficient in Reality.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The dialer in the app works well. Outreach Everywhere is also nice to have for quickly enrolling leads from Sales Nav or Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

1) Outreach is EXTREMLY slow and inefficient. Simple actions require multiple clicks, and each UI update take 2-7 seconds to happen. Can't roll through a prospect list and call each person on the sidebar. You have to go in and out of each lead's page.

Examples: Changing numbers requires a page switch(rather than sidebar edit). I want just call tasks, but it kicks me over to different task types, and tasks take FOREVER to work through. I want to leave a task and go to a different lead, but the task sidebar stays open, and when I close it the page forces me back to the lead for that task. That just scratches the surface.

2) Ineffective integrations. No Integration with LinkedIn so URLs and titles aren't updated, URLs not even mapped when we prospect from ZoomInfo or Salesforce, so I have to manually input for every lead(another page switch). Chrome Plugin breaks a lot. No Hubspot integration.

3) Bug City. Expect it to break and crash in every way imaginable, and be ready to spend a lot of time going back and forth with their support.

Conclusion: Their marketing very well and probably paying for good reviews, because anyone I talk to who's used a different sales engagement platform like SalesLoft or Apollo agrees that Outreach is the absolutely the slowest, most poorly built product in the space. I've used SalesLoft and Apollo at previous companies, and my workflow was at least two times faster.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to sequence leads and manage out-bounding, and it does the job... at half the speed of other options.

  ### 44. Clunky and not user friendly

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Outreach everywhere has been helpful when I'm in SFDC and Gmail to execute a one-off task or bring back activity history. I like how you can easily select what number to call from when making calls from the tasks. The daily notification emails of what you need to finish is nice.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

-I think outreach can be powerful, but the UI restricts that. The UI is not user friendly and there's so much packed into your view that it's overwhelming. When executing a lot of tasks, it's not easy to identify what task is what (it's no different than a SFDC task list). It's a list of tasks with a ton of links and words explaining what to do. If you don't click in the right spot, it will take you to the person, account, template, or sequence vs. just starting the action. Again, not intuitive. You also can't easily execute actions by a specific sequence unless you go into the sequence>prospects and figure out where to click. For instance, I'll go from Step 1 of Sequence A to Step 5 of Sequence B and then back to another Step 1 of Sequence A. Grouping similar actions by sequence isn't possible or if it is, it's not easily identifiable.

-Executing email tasks is painful. It's 1/4 of your window on the right hand side. There's no way to expand the editing pane.

-I can't manage or update my opportunities from outreach

-An email I sent to the outreach implementation consultant went directly to spam...

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

I would heavily evaluate the space. There are other companies out there that combine numerous technologies into one easy to use and manage software.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Log activity back in SFDC, create sequences/templates, make calls, and more that it knowing can't do so I'm using other software.

  ### 45. I Wish I Went Salesloft

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | VP of Sales

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I don't like anything specific about outreach which other providers don't offer

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Their AE lied about functionality and best practices and support has been beyond terrible

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach has created more problems than they've solved for my team

  ### 46. Not the best experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I like the ease of calling out to prospects

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Too many kinks, glitches, the syncing feature is my least favorite because its always wrong. Also calls drop frequently, doesnt work well with salesforce

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can go back and listen to my calls which is really nice. I can also set reminders on when to call certain people

**Official Response from Chris Branding:**

  ### 47. I had the worst experience signing up for a Demo with Outreach!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I didn't manage to test Outreach as I was so put off by the sales representative that I didn't want to engage with the company further.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

I had the worst experience signing up for a Demo with Outreach. I am responsible for the outreach strategy at my company and I was looking for tools that could help me support our outreach activity. I saw an ad about Outreach and I thought that it could be useful so I signed up for a demo. Then, the sales representative bombarded me with emails and stalking me across all channels and in the end, she suggested who should be on the demo if we arranged one from our company which she figured out by stalking our company! I found their approach really aggressive and disrespectful hence I didn't want to pursue further.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Be prepared for an aggressive and disrespectful approach by their sales representatives!

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 48. Worst service out of every SaaS solution we have

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

Excellent solid product that does its job well

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

The sales process itself, the way contracts are sent in the middle of the night so you can't tell it's going to auto-renew, their billing department and how they charge for things for 12 months that nobody is actively using. The customer support takes days if they get back.
Then they make you create a separate login for billing, which didn't even have the correct login credentials for our first year of service.
They just have shady business practices. Honestly, Outreach has the worst onboarding experience and customer service of any SaaS company I have added or interacted with in the last 15 years of being in tech and that spans hundreds of companies. We are cancelling our service, not due to the product, but due to the arrogance and culture of taking customers for granted.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated sales follow up. Does a good job in that department.

  ### 49. If you dont use Salesforce its great.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James T. | Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

The ability to run leads through an automated sequence. Tracking of emails being opened, and the recording of calls. The ability to AB split test different steps in my plays.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

It is designed to do everything in Outreach. I prefer to spend my day in Salesforce which is our company system of record. The popup window in Outreach is Clunky. I find myself going into Outreach for data that should be in Salesforce. Functionality within Gmail is lacking compared to other similar tools.

I think my biggest dislike comes with the dialer. This really seems like an email tool, with a dialer added on at the last minute as a good idea. It lacks the simple ability to click to call inside of Salesforce. You do not have the ability to call from from a view or list inside of Salesforce. No email functionality in Salesforce. Everything is done through the frustrating Outreach pop up bar. I have to hop back and forth between Salesforce and Outreach to view my reports because the data doesn't live in Salesforce it lives in Outreach. Everything seems to live in Outreach which is frustrating when so much of my day is spent working out of Salesforce.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Do your research and due diligence on whats available in the marketplace.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach allows me to effectively run a set of plays through its sequences. It is amazing when it comes to blasting emails at mass. Very similar to a marketing automation tool.

  ### 50. Buggy with poor customer service

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew P. | Business Development, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Outreach?**

I like that you can build sequences of emails that are pretty customizable. Can integrate to Gmail and to Salesforce which is useful. There are also some useful reporting functions.

**What do you dislike about Outreach?**

Customer service is abysmal. Once you're out of the support that you've paid for, it's like you get dropped off of a cliff and the only help that you'll get will be extremely slow (hours to days), and in the form of an article sent your way. If you call them for support they direct you to email. For a system that's so buggy, they should have better customer support to keep people happily using their system.

Outreach is very buggy. There are always issues with speed and with prospects / sequences updating after a change is made. Changes made to sequences or prospects often take minutes to reflect. I often find myself making a change, then switching to some other task while I wait for Outreach's servers to refresh so that I can finally see if the change has taken effect.

Reporting could be more specific. For example you can't really drill down into Account level reporting. For someone who spends most of his day in Outreach instead of Salesforce, this would be very useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Outreach:**

Definitely check out some other options. Work the trial that they give you to see how easy it is for you to use. The system is definitely not very intuitive.

You'll have to pay for your customer service. If you've gone through your paid hours, all you'll get is your customer "success" rep telling you that you're out of hours and that you'll need to file a ticket. Expect to wait hours *at least* to get a response, and expect that response to be in the form of an article from their website.

**What problems is Outreach solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving email outreach and sales/bd/marketing cadences.

We're seeing our emails going out to the people that we've designated, reaching a large audience and getting metrics based on that like open rates, click rates, etc.
