The built-in keyword discovery tool loses steam after the first ~8 weeks—it starts repeating topics, produces overlapping content, and runs out of high-quality, unique keyword ideas. I had to switch to manual research (Ahrefs subscription + Claude) to keep momentum going. There are also occasional minor bugs (especially in the backlink exchange side) that need polishing, though they haven't broken the core workflow. Additionally, some important controls for refining the backlink exchange—like prioritizing certain types of links, customizing placement rules, or setting a minimum Domain Rating (DR) threshold for incoming links—are locked behind higher paywalls or premium tiers. This limits fine-tuning in the base plan, so you're somewhat at the mercy of the network's automatic matching (which can include lower-DR sites early on). Finally, even with all the automation, SEO still requires daily attention and tweaks—it's not truly "set it and forget it" forever. I use Outrank for link building and blog publishing. It makes getting high quality backlinks super easy. I like that it's pretty much automated; I just sign up, and it does everything for me. It wasn't immediately clear if everything was set up correctly. I was only using parts of the product and I wasn't sure what I needed to set up for it to work for me. I didn't want to do the full integration as I was only using a subset of the tools. It was unclear if I had set up correctly or not. It turned out I had, but I had to ask customer support to confirm. I think it is amazing for saving time on blog writing, and has enabled me to add a lot of content to my website easiliy. Customer support has been great, and I check in what is going on almost daily, just as I find it very interesting.

I sometimes edit blogs, when I have time but they are long, relevant and well written. The real bonus is the outreach element where backlinks to your site are in other people's blogs, and of course your blogs also contain backlinks but you have complete control about how many etc.

I haven't really had any negative experiences. Sometimes I inevitably have repeat websites linking to me, but of course because they are niche specific but that said I have had over 100 unique websites link to me, with DRs from as low as 10 but up to 70, with the average being mid 30s, so very helpful for adding authority. I use Outrank for generating blog posts and helping with my company's SEO. I like that it automates writing blog posts and getting backlinks. Another feature I appreciate is that it helps with keyword research by presenting the keyword difficulty and volume right on the calendar, which is nice. I also find it very easy to set up, and it integrates with my site to automatically publish to the blog without me having to do much. I think keyword research is a big one. I would like an easier interface to research and select keywords from. Right now, the only interface for that is this sort of calendar scheduling tool for the blogs. But it would be nice to be able to really search through keywords, add ones to a queue, and look at search results. I like how Outrank integrates with multiple tools like webhook and WordPress, making it easy to set up. I think the default images that Outrank has should have more variations. Obviously, you can pay and have more variations, but I think it should come default. Based on whatever the platform's charging, I don't think the image models are that expensive for them to charge like, $50 extra just to have better images. Outrank has been super easy to set up, and it's basically like SEO and marketing on auto-pilot. Which is great since we have a small team. We don't use one of their out of the box integrations and even the API integration was easy to set up. I am currently on Outrank at least a couple of times a day. Blog's are made to rank, not to stand out on your blog page. I do need to add some example blogs, but for someone who does not do SEO himself this is a bit of an issue. I like that Outrank's user interface is simple to use. Other companies have difficult-to-use user interfaces which make doing business harder, but with Outrank, you just log in, tap what you want done, and it's delivered to you within twenty-four hours.
