At the time, the campaign creation process was cumbersome and it was difficult to manage multiple campaigns at once. We could have overlooked that, however, we were unable to achieve high-quality referral traffic from our programs. I got lots of clicks which I'd never have noticed unless I saw them in my Outbrain reports. Those visitors don't engage at all. By having "clickbait" titles, you will drive a high CTR, however the bounce rate will suffer. Make sure you use this platform as a mid-funnel channel to see the most value. **What problems is Outbrain Direct Response by Teads solving and how is that benefiting you?** Maximising contents reach to a relevant, targeted audience and also bringing in a new audience to company blogs. ### 37. The best things about the platform are the onboarding training for self-serve users and dashboard that shows how campaign is performing (shows where the content distributed). **What do you dislike about Outbrain Direct Response by Teads?** The User Interface looks like it was designed 10 years ago. It's ugly and confusing. While the dashboard is gives a good glimpse of activity during the campaign, trying to find historic data is not easy. The only thing you can harvest after the campaign is impressions, clicks, and CPC but not where the content was distributed. In terms of the quality of traffic from outbrain campaigns, it was marginally better than what you would get from StumbleUpon and more expensive. 90% or higher bounce rates and less than 15 seconds on page time. **Recommendations to others considering Outbrain Direct Response by Teads:** Test with a small budget first. **What problems is Outbrain Direct Response by Teads solving and how is that benefiting you?** We tried Outbrain to reach new markets, but realized little benefit from it. ### 38. The only options are language and location. In addition, Outbrain's a great way to get extra visits to or clicks on my content, whether it's from my own sites or other sites in the network as a recommendation. **What do you dislike about Outbrain Direct Response by Teads?** The traffic I get from Outbrain visitors tends to not be very sticky. (As in, people will come to the site through the recommendation widget, and then tend to only view that one article - and for not much time to boot.) That's not indicative of Outbrain per se, but the platform category. **Recommendations to others considering Outbrain Direct Response by Teads:** Outbrain is not a magic bullet for traffic, page views or whatever your key metrics are. Rather, look at is as a simple recommendation engine either within your own website, or as a syndication option for content you publish to be linked elsewhere. **What problems is Outbrain Direct Response by Teads solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've used Outbrain as a tool to drive additional traffic and article views on my website.
