I use Otter.ai as my AI assistant for attending meetings. I love that it stays in the meeting as a participant, listens to all the conversations, and afterwards gives me a summary outline, which includes what to do and what not to do, along with the action items of the meeting. It's really helpful that I can ask it questions related to my job or what was discussed in the meeting. Having this assistant helps me because the human mind can lose track of a few things here and there, but Otter.ai helps keep everything organized. It's especially great that it can automatically drop emails based on what was discussed in the meeting, and I can also go back to check what was discussed last month. One of the best things about Otter.ai is that it summarizes the meeting and provides action items to work on, allowing me to focus more on my performance and involvement during the meeting since I don't have to worry about taking notes. I don't like how Otterbot tries to attend meetings because it should be seamless and join with me silently without notifying others. I really like Otter.ai's interface and the simplicity of its use. It's very easy to use, and I don't have to do much to utilize the technology. Its integrations with my GoToMeeting and teams is great. I have daily meetings with my team and use otterai to enhance our monthly performance as a team. Not only is it a great tool, but the pricing is great and makes it a no-brainer to use. Also, their support team has been great helping with onbroading and anything I need. At this time OtterAI has been an amazing tool, that has helped my teams monthly performance and made all my meetings more meaningful because of the notes I get once they are done. So, I really don't have any dislikes at this time. Maybe, the fact that original when our meetings were done it sent out a blast email to my whole team without me knowing that was going to happen. I like that I can record meetings where multiple participants are in a conference room and others are remote and it still tags each voice correctly. With other solutions, it's based on each video/audio feed. This means if there are 3 people in-person in a conference room, it counts this all as one person. With otter, I can just put my phone on the table with the app open and it labels everyone correctly in the transcript. I don't even have to have my computer with me or be logged into the meeting. I like that it makes it easy to record and transcribe conversations, and it also provides a nice summary of what was discussed. I like the ability to easily pull quotes from the conversations. It’s usually very good at transcribing the conversation but some technical terms give it difficulty. I use it in a medical context when I go to doctors appointments so it would be nice if it could somehow figure out context and maybe it would make it easier to figure out what the technical terms are that are used (that it sometimes misses). Real-time transcription accuracy is great. It captures meetings and conversations with very few errors, even across different accents and dialects. What do you dislike about Otter.ai? What I dislike is that the free tier is quite limited in terms of transcription minutes. Before using it, I either spent time trying to take notes during meetings and ended up missing parts of the conversation, or I relied on my memory afterward and inevitably forgot key action items. Now the transcription runs automatically, so I can stay fully engaged in the discussion and review the notes later when I need them. It has also made it much easier to share meeting outcomes with colleagues who couldn’t attend. I can share the transcript or highlight the key points directly.
