ReqSuite is easy to use and easy to understand. The usability of the user interface has been steadily increasing over the last years. The browser interface makes it easy to deploy and sets no unnecessary hurdles which helps with user acceptance.

Greatest selling point for us is still the flexibility as you can easily model any fields and relationships to adapt the tool for different projects, customers and requirements. We are using the tool internally as well as for external projects for our customers and have created several different project templates to get the most value out of ReqSuite.

The provided export functions have been good but limited in the past. The implications and restrictions of the different ways to export (e. g. "full export" or "selected export" to MS Excel) have not always been easy to understand. Especially the abilities to layout and customize the Excel export is still lacking.

An easy to use but reliable way to create our own backups of the different repositories independent of provider has been on our wish list for some time.

Osseno has already adressed these issuse in the past and is constantly working to improve the functionalities.

Word export is quite capable, but it takes a bit of hit & miss to get it working, and formatting is inflexible. We would like to see a more integrated approach, e.g., the possibility to define report scopes and use field reference tags in a freely formatted document section. Each requirement type is previously defined a schema, which describes which attributes a requirement must have. Thus one is forced in the positive sense to record requirements completely at all times. There are very complex requirements in some projects, which, although they belong to the same kind, can differ strongly in their structure. In order to represent this in ReqSuite, it is possible to configure text fields without semantic and syntactic defaults.
