ReqSuite is an easy-to-use and easy-to-understand requirements management tool that systematically guides us through the requirements and the necessary links to tests/verifications and the like. For example, we can see at a glance whether any tests/verifications are missing, etc. This ensures end-to-end traceability. It serves as a ‘single source of truth’ for us and enables us to reliably analyse the impact of possible changes for the first time. The ability to reuse requirements in other development projects is also enormously helpful for us and has a positive impact on development speed.

It is incredibly valuable that we as the admin have the flexibility to design the layout for a project as we need it. The entire user interface, apart from the very good functionality of the tool, can be customised according to the needs of the stakeholders.

The role and rights management is very powerful and also enables us to guarantee external parties (such as suppliers) targeted access to certain data, so that ReqSuite offers us optimum conditions for working together on a project. And should it ever be necessary to export the data to Word or Excel templates (e.g. specifications) in line with stakeholder requirements, this is also possible at the touch of a button. This is a huge relief for us.

Another advantage is that ReqSuite can only be operated via a browser interface and does not create any unnecessary hurdles, which benefits user acceptance. As an internationally active company, we can also work optimally with our colleagues in other countries in ReqSuite.

Furthermore, access to the learning units with very good explanatory videos on the subject of configuration, administration of the tool or best practice tips on the subject of requirements management is helpful.

The ability to quickly and easily tailor the structure of your requirements, create the object types and relationships that fit your project(s) is fantastic . Of course you can use things out of the box if that works for you too, but if you want to rename, remodel or replace anything, you can!

The support is also first rate, onboarding was simple and we had all the help we needed getting started including a first pass at the structure we were looking for, giving us a good starting point to learn and adapt. Regular catch-up calls enabled us to learn at our own pace and discuss what we were trying to achieve and why, to collaboratively come up with the answers.

With flexibility there is always the risk of complication, and often there are two different ways to achieve a similar outcome, so you need to be prepared to put some time and effort into this to get the most out of the tool. This does present a bit more of a learning curve right at the start if you are going to tailor things to your own way of working.

Occasionally there is a feature you might expect to be present as a basic need, but they are keen to take on board feedback for improvements and are actively developing - plus the ability to modify structures so easily means a workaround is usually simple in the short term.
