What do you like best about Ortto?

Building out email journeys is super straightforward. I like How well you can visualise a campaign from start to finish. It's also very helpful for understanding how users have interacted with us across multiple touchpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

The piece of Ortto that we use (Autopilot Journeys) is not well maintained. This has caused us massive issues with one very serious bug. I won't go into the specifics, but it sent comms to customers when they shoudn't have, and gave us a headache trying to fix it for months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Somewhat difficult to use but some good features also"

What do you like best about Ortto?

Albeit that there are about 3 different ways to access the data, the data is relatively thorough, and you can export lists of clicked, opened etc subscribers, which is helpful when targeting people again with eDMs or personal communications. The journeys are tricky to figure out initially but do function well enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

There are about 3 different ways to access email data which is just confusing - on the email manager page, in journeys and on the email itself sometimes. It's quite difficult to determine where you're meant to be downloading the data from. Uploading lists of subscribers/maintaining these lists can be quite difficult. The journeys management has pros and cons, but be careful to not get caught out with unsubscribes. It's very limited in its ability to handle unsubscribes, which can cause massive list issues. "User friendly- in theory"

What do you like best about Ortto?

I like that the interface is easy to navigate and looks straightforward. I can quickly and easily send campaigns Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

The reporting isn't always accurate. For revenue, it will show any open opportunities with the clients that view the email, rather than sales generated directly from that email. this leads to inaccurate reporting. I also find it difficult to integrate ortto with salesforce. The integration is not smooth and a lot of things are lost in translation, causing a lot of backwork. I would also like there to be a clearer explanation on creating customer journeys and trigger emails so that we can get the most out of our orrto subscription as we can. "It's fine but not that intuitive"
2/5
What do you like best about Ortto?

I really only use Ortto for a few things: adding contacts for lists, designing, and sending journeys (SMS.) I think the good parts of Ortto are how quick it can be to send a repeatable SMS message with different cohorts and slightly different messages. The screens load quickly which can be key at creating an effiicent workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

Sometimes it is very not intuitive. It is much easier to clone an old journey than it is to create a new one. Also, the fact that I have to unclick the list that Ortto creates based on the name of the csv upload is annoying. I never want to use GOOGLE SHEET - TAB (2). csv as my list name Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good software for journeys custom activities"
4/5
What do you like best about Ortto?

Ortto is very user-friendly and it is quite simple to navigate. The workflow/journey builder is straightforward and easy to use. The email builder is also very useful once you get used to it.

Pricing is also one of the benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

Reports are sometimes glitchy. Also, revenue and conversion tracking could be easier to set up. Ortto would be a much more complete tool if it incorporated more PPC and social media capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So far the best email marketing platform I've work with!"
5/5
What do you like best about Ortto?

I love the user interface and the ease to create flows. The email designer has a lot of possibilities and makes it so easy for everyone to collaboratevly edit. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need for a modern and easy e-mail marketing platform like this! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

It would be helpful to have some sort of commenting and notes feature built in to the designer so all team members can just go in and collaborate. Otherwise nothing else - it's very intuitive! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An all in one platform for marketing automation with excellent customer support."
5/5
What do you like best about Ortto?

The Ortto customer support team always gets back to me with quick responses. The software is user-friendly and has made our marketing automations comprehensive. We used their API to connect our customer purchases and behaviors to Ortto, and it's even better now. They are also constantly coming up with new features. It's clear they take their customer feedback seriously. Their upgrades are always a pleasant surprise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

I don't like that the headsup messages (pop-ups on the site) do not have data to show impressions, opens, and clicks unless they are in a journey shown to "known" site visitors. I love the feature, but measuring the results of "unknown" site visitors is challenging. I also am experiencing an issue where it appears for people even after they have dismissed the pop-up, but they are working on fixing it now. I also would like an easier way to perform and measure A/B tests throughout the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good UX but very limited in available functionalities."
2.5/5
What do you like best about Ortto?

Setting up journeys and campaigns is intuitive and very straightforward. The UX has been well thought out and the options for setting up triggers and actions are very extensive. Support is really great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

You are pretty much limited to the style and layout as defined by Ortto. You can customise some colours and fonts, but the options within the features are quite limited. In addition, you would expect features that are possible with the available data, but you simply don't find any. You can request them but it can then take a very long time before they are added. So the product is still in development.

Another thing that disappoints us is having to have a separate account for each domain just because we use a different logo for each domain. As a result, we are paying much more than expected. They did promise us a 20% discount, but afterwards this turned out to be for the first year only. We had to leave the previous one quickly because it was not working, we are now with Ortto but the question is whether this is for the longer term. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not great!!"
0/5
What do you like best about Ortto?

The UI looked better than their previous tool, Autopilot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

Ortto was frustrating. We were using Autopilot (same company, slightly different product) and it did its job despite looking wildly outdated and missing many key features (no preview text field in the journey email builder?!). Ortto came along as a completely separate product from Autopilot, and the team started to push us to migrate into Ortto - moving some of the functions out of Autopilot and into Ortto's interface. For a period, support lived only in Ortto so we'd have to log into two separate tools when looking to chat with a rep. The odd connections and interdependencies of the two tools were very frustrating.

It came to a point where we figured if we had to migrate to a new tool regardless, we may as well move out to a different marketing automation platform altogether.

We found the team to be difficult to work with, too. As part of the migration to Ortto they began limiting the number of seats on our account despite our plan previously having unlimited seats. They also made promises about Ortto and initial access timelines that didn't hold up. There were no proactive communications during service downtimes. If something looks off or unusually slow, we had to wait for someone on live chat to confirm. Not a company we were interested in continuing a relationship with.

What's absolutely wild about our time with Ortto/Autopilot is we actually saved money moving away from them even though we moved to a more popular marketing automation platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Support and Documentation"
5/5
What do you like best about Ortto?

I have been using Autopilot since OCT 2021 and I have been loving this app, we use it to send email communications and SMS and the way it works is really user friendly.

Its really easy to create everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ortto?

Ortto and Autopilot have a great documentation, which makes easy to work with them, but there is one amazing feature I didn't knew about until was too late and is that every email has a special code that can be send only once per contact.

The information is not clear about sending the same email in diferent journeys or duplicating a email.

This is something you will need to clarify more, because is a great tool but if you don't know about it, you could keep duplicating emails which are not being sent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
