You can also update ad-hoc as needed. Took several hours a month of org chart planning off of our plates and is easily accessible for admins and users. **What do you dislike about OrgChart?** Building custom org charts is tricky and there doesn't seem to be many training materials on this. While the support team is great and can help - would be nice to be a little more self-sufficient. **Recommendations to others considering OrgChart:** If you are building org charts manually through powerpoint or another tool, implement! It connects very easily to your HRIS and the ROI in terms of time spent is fantastic. **What problems is OrgChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** Significant time savings, we don't have to create our org charts through PowerPoint, which took hours. We link directly to the org chart from our HRIS and employees can access this in real-time, rather than waiting a month for updates. ### 2. Just call their number or email the company, and you're put in touch with a live person who is explicitly trained in OrgChart versions. **What do you dislike about OrgChart?** My personal dislike is that I was unfamiliar with OrgChart but had to update several organization charts for my college within a certain timeframe. I was overwhelmed because along with updating charts, I had numerous other tasks and projects to work on and complete. The software is great; however, I just didn't have time to read the manual or watch training videos. Get the task done ended up to be my mantra when first hired. **What problems is OrgChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am updating organization charts for a local community college for which I am employed. We recently started using OrgChart. Using OrgChart has really made it easier to stay organized when it comes to our company's organizational chart. One thing that I really like is how OrgChart has so many different field options that can be pulled from ADP. It is a time saver that the information just pulls from ADP. Another thing that I like is that we are able to use our employee's photo on the chart. We were able to modernize our chart when we made the switch from Excel to OrgChart! **What do you dislike about OrgChart?** There is not much that I dislike about OrgChart. I think the only thing I would have to say is trying to navigate through making an edit as a new user can be a little tricky. This is a huge time saver and gives me peace that the data is right. **What do you dislike about OrgChart?** Some of the tools and functionality aren't easy to learn. While it's very easy to import data and make changes to the structure of it, making it "pretty" is a much taller task that requires you to really learn the system (and even then, it's not always easy). **What problems is OrgChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** This gives every employee a view of where people are in the company, and helps with audits that require these types of charts. I also really like that I can have multiple org charts saved, so that if I want different views it's easy to create and I don't lose the original chart. It syncs to our HRIS Namely, so no manual adding people which is huge. We have it embedded in our wiki and people like the more traditional org chart much better than the one that comes with Namely. **What do you dislike about OrgChart?** It definitely took a while to get the hang of the tool, it's kind of old school and not always intuitive. Also it syncs, as I mentioned, which is great, but in order for the chart to update I have to log into the org chart platform and click refresh. **Recommendations to others considering OrgChart:** it's a good tool. Be prepared to spend some time up front getting comfortable and familiar with it, it's not the most intuitive product I've ever used, but once you get the hang of it it's a super useful tool. **What problems is OrgChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** The built in org chart in Namely is completely vertical and wasn't sufficient for a lot of our employees, and also wasn't great for sharing externally with investors, etc. The sync is great, even though I have to click refresh. It does make it really easy to understand our organization and the internal teams. Also (updating review) I have so many versions of the org charts so I can drill down on teams/functions of the business, and that's been a huge help. as we grow our org is harder to look at in one go and that ability to have multiple charts saved has been super useful. ### 15. So we migrated From using words and other softwares to Org Chart and productivity of team has improved drastically. We also can import wide variety of data from excel and managing them have never been this easy . However, there still some improvements that could be made to make it more efficient. **What do you dislike about OrgChart?** A major, and honestly, quite tedious, problem I find with the OrgChart is that I have to constantly rearrange and resize the chart when I switch between regular printing and print to PDF. There is no option to save as a PDF (another issue), I have to go to file>print>Microsoft print to PDF or Adobe PDF. Every time I change the printing preference the chart moves and words end up in a different place. It is very frustrating and time-consuming. Another issue I find is that I can't move the assistants more than one space upward or downward. We originally used Visio which was a manual process. Now that we use OrgChart, we pull a report from our HRIS and import. **What do you dislike about OrgChart?** I wish we would be able to automatically connect our HRIS system and OrgChart so that it was a quicker process to import (currently we run the report, do some manual configurations, save, and import into OrgChart). **What problems is OrgChart solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has made our organizational effectiveness better as we can easily see our team structure. ### 34.
