We needed a budget-friendly option, and the pricing is fair for the features provided. The onboarding process went well. I preferred a live, one-on-one walkthrough with an account representative, which isn’t part of their standard onboarding, but they were flexible and able to accommodate my needs. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** The system is easy to use overall, although certain features, such as managing the key, can be a little tricky. I also wish there were more flexibility to customize the reporting structure, like having some lines dotted and others not, as the current options feel somewhat limited. The formatting is decent, but the layout could be more condensed to create cleaner, more efficient printouts. **What problems is Organimi solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has saved us time compared with making org charts in PowerPoint or other applications. I can easily see who’s in which departments/teams and where people are located. It also lets you set up individual charts for specific teams, limit access for users/managers while still sharing as needed, and it’s quick and easy to use for adding or deleting entries. You can link with LinkedIn to pull in profiles, details, and pictures, and the fields are customisable. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** It can feel a bit clunky when setting up the reporting “tree” (who reports to whom, dotted lines, etc.). That may be down to user error or a training need on my side. Also, like a lot of online tools these days, there isn’t always a person to speak to, so you end up being directed to online manuals instead. **What problems is Organimi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having all the company information in one place makes it quick and easy to get a clear snapshot at a glance. It took me a while to figure out how to "copy" and "paste" parts of the graph. I would love it if it was possible to actually just copy and paste right there in the program. We can easily indicate a team member's location from all over the world by utilizing their Smart Legend with corresponding colors per location and also setting up external links in the chart to direct people to the exact information they are looking for. The capability to create unique fields that fit our company culture and diverse team more is a distinguishing characteristic that is highly appreciated. Organimi's customizable settings make our team's organizational chart extraordinarily user-friendly and a delightful way to learn more about our team members. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** With the transition to version 7.0, some functionalities from the old version were lost. People's information would not easily show up when clicking on role cards, the default setting for viewing the chart is the most zoomed-out option making it hard to navigate, and the fields in their personal information could not read line breaks. Settings adjustments are slightly not intuitive, so you must make several modifications before getting your desired results. But we have seen improvements over the past few months, and with the help of their Help Center, we are able to learn more about the functionalities that would help suit best the requirements of our organizational chart. **What problems is Organimi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Most of our team is working entirely remotely and do not have the chance to meet up in the office daily. Organimi's feature of being able to include people's information in one convenient chart is beneficial for our team members to get to know one another instantaneously despite the geographical distance. We can clearly outline a person's demographics in the chart while adding fun facts for the team to learn and remember about their coworker. Even though we have 100 employees, it is very easy to import employee information. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** It would be helpful if it could automatically calculate employee age as well as years of service. I enjoy how easy it is to upload a CSV or excel file to the tool and have an org chart in minutes. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** I do have issues with loading departments and having them show up. Custom fields are not as intuitive to learn on the fly as I would like them to be. Otherwise product is great **What problems is Organimi solving and how is that benefiting you?** We don't have a tool for org charts and find excel/google sheets is not the answer we want. For example, an org chart can be created from an employee upload file and saved as a template. The file sync will update the employee data while retaining the formatting and pagination. Various sync methods are available. For example, we schedule a daily CSV file to an sFTP server. There was an initial issue with the formatting retention, but it has since been corrected. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** It cannot currently accommodate a dynamic header on each page. There is an option for a static header where the company logo may be inserted, but it does not allow each org chart page to contain the appropriate department name or description. I submitted this as an enhancement request and am told it is on the list. **What problems is Organimi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Organimi is solving the issue of manually updating org charts based on constantly changing employee data. The interface is a great combination of intuitive and powerful, and the result is easy to share and consume. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** Having a bit more customization of the layouts of each position (e.g. what details are listed under a person) would be really helpful, however this is a minor inconvenience. **What problems is Organimi solving and how is that benefiting you?** We previously had to use "novel" solutions for creating and maintaining org charts, including spreadsheets and graphics programs, both of which took much more time and effort. **Official Response from Rita Jokhaji:** > Hi there, Thanks so much for your review! We've got plenty of chart sharing options and we're happy to hear that they've been useful to you :) As for customizing role cards and selecting what details are present, you can change this by clicking on the themes icon on the left hand side of your chart, click edit theme, and then click on fields. Under fields, you can check or uncheck whichever information you want or don't want displayed directly on your chart. For example, you can choose to show an employee's phone number on the role card but hide the job description. You can do this with any preset or added custom field. Still want to capture the role description but don't want it visible on the chart? No worries! When "hiding fields", you can still view them when clicking on the individual role cards and pulling up the role details. I hope this helps! Great idea and promise, but needs just a bit of refinement **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2022 **What do you like best about Organimi?** The promise here is that of a synchronized view of our org that includes any data I wish to pull in from our AAD. Organimi includes the ability to pull in from Azure AD (and includes other options as a source as well) and this import of data works extremely well. I hunted for ages to find an add-on for org chart creation but didn't want a whole "HR Management" system. Everyone else seems to want to sell a huge (and expensive) system that overlaps what I already have available to me in Microsoft. I just needed to pull the data I already had in AAD and view it in an Org chart. It's shocking that Microsoft doesn't offer this as a built-in function to MS365. Their solution of "just use Visio" is pathetic, as anyone who's tried to create such a solution will know. **What do you dislike about Organimi?** The problem is in the details. First, currently my charts that are synced with AAD look great upon the first import, but any automatic update (which is really the whole point!) causes relationships to break and the chart to render wrong. Second, If you want to tweak any setting of an existing import, you have to reconfigure every setting like new. Forget to set it up just as you did before? Start over from scratch. Third, there is a button that sure looks like it is supposed to "zoom out to show full extent", but when I click it it just zooms to some preset level that does not encompass my whole chart. These feel like bugs, and I have reported them as such, but they're pretty inhibiting from really digging in and using the tool. I am keeping my subscription active for now, as even with these issues, the tool does a great job of showing the chart (I just have to create a one-off, non synchronized copy every time data changes). I am standing by for them to fix the issues that are preventing the auto updates to work. **What problems is Organimi solving and how is that benefiting you?** The solution is a beautiful org chart based on Azure Active Directory data. Once the connection is established, pulling the data over is simple. We created a spreadsheet and imported the data and once we showed it off at our annual conference everyone was amazed. They loved seeing their faces and data so easily available! I have to wait for hierarchies to expand and data to lead from a search. It is also sluggish when clicking and then scrolling. I know we have a pretty big dataset but I didn't see a limitation on number of roles or users.
