Warehouse Builder enables you to create data warehouses, migrate data from legacy systems, consolidate data from disparate data sources, clean and transform data to provide quality information, and manage corporate metadata.

**What do you like best about Oracle Warehouse Builder?**

OWB is performance efficient especially when there is bulk data processing.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Warehouse Builder?**

OWB mappings can't be reverse engineered from plsql code. OWB GUI is not very elastic hence there are scenarios when the MDL gets corrupted during developer interaction with owb mapping and thus it cannot be recreated back from plsql. You can argue to keep the OWB mappings in source control and pull it back when required. But trust me as i know certain projects which have not been able to maintain the source control and in absence of MDL they cannot even rely on the deployed plsql package in production. Result is they translate back from owb to hand written plsql.
Also Oracle only database makes the use case very limited.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Warehouse Builder:**

We are already migrating from OWB to ODI as Owb shall be soon outvof support.

**What problems is Oracle Warehouse Builder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have migrated from OWB to ODI. We are using these for ETL purposes in the data warehouses.
