It offers all the features you expect in a hypervisor, using technologies that they call Live Migration. It allows me to move VMs from one machine to another. Install an Ubuntu server in your host to test Jupyter notebook to run Machine Learning algorithms like K-Means and Time Series. Sometimes you have to alter the Windows host registry to run Oracle Virtual properly.Oracle could improve the product testing the software with every major windows update and write a blog about any problem. Ubuntu running in Oracle Virtualization is a super stable operating system that process complex operations like Machine Learning even with few processors and low memory. One of the best thing that I liked about Oracle Virtualization is that it's a free software that provides customization and dynamic sizing. What do you dislike about Oracle Virtualization? One of the things that can be improved is the reporting feature of the Oracle Virtualization tool. Also, the GUI is a bit old and needs some improvisation also need some better templates for the provision of database nodes. Also, it utilizes a high amount of resources. The primary use is the simple virtualization that it provides for Windows OS in a production environment, along with many customization features. This tool can also be used to run the training environment since the configuration and the implementation are relatively easy and help to save a lot of resources. Oracle can be used on any operating system, which makes it useful in our departments where users need to run WIndows and MacOS to finish projects and collaborate with external clients. Oracle Virtualization has been my favorite tool for managing, editing and creating virtual machines for a long time. The interface is intuitive, it is possible to configure in detail the resources available for each virtual machine and I never had any really serious problems running the virtual machines. It is an excellent tool for me to test features, configurations, before actually applying them to my physical machines. The software has interesting features, such as the possibility of virtual machines recognizing real connected peripherals, in addition to graphical configurations. It is a fundamental tool for any IT professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Oracle Virtualization? - There is no native support for legacy ports - I had some problems with directories shared between the virtual machine and the physical machine. This is important for the transmission of files and programs. - The consumption of RAM is also a little high. It is recommended that your machine has at least 8GB of RAM. Recommendations to others considering Oracle Virtualization: Oracle's virtualization system may not be the one with the most resources available, but its ease of use and interface for me are enough for me to perform the necessary functions. In addition, I need to mount images of operating systems to be installed on machines and servers. Oracle Virtualization is used to validate these operating system images.
