The ease of it working with Weblogic, and granular tuning for different server processes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Oracle Tuxedo? command line interface a bit stodgy, but effective and it works Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Oracle Tuxedo: Make sure that you read up on how this acts as the client to the backend and communicates with Weblogic. Ready everythign you can on command line to supplement and the psadmin shell and use as a backup. Also, read up on tuning and the reason behind each of the server processes, and capacity planning algorithms/formulas. Read any of the red papers on high availability, and be careful about load balancing and how to achieve, with or without a front end load balancer and the the different internal levels. Make sure you also read up about how integration broker and hub operations work for messaging, native and 3rd party, again along with Weblogic and gateways. Also read up on cloud approach, and also automatic config management and deployment and how that works in setting up Tuxedo and other ancillary infrastructure. Tuxedo is the central point of entry into your PeopleSoft systems, either for web or batch operations and both require particular tuning knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Amazing load balancing and top-tier security is what attracted me to use Oracle Tuxedo. Also,it provides a way for trained business users such as Healthcare Company Users to enter a large amount of data, invoke functions, achieve results with a quick turn around time. I like it best and have been working with it since past 4 years or so. I never had any implementation issues during the production. The customization is even more easier with out custom scripts. Nothing as such to dislike. But it would be great if this is brought into much more light like oracle weblogic. But nothing negative as such. Not more development for this product by Oracle.
