We use several of the modules and are very happy with the results. The best feature for us would have to be the fact that Oracle HCM is a self-service application which allows all our employees to handle their own requests for various documents, input their hours, order their office supplies, review and alter benefits, etc. **What do you dislike about Oracle Talent Management Cloud (formerly Taleo)?** We recently migrated from the on-premise to the cloud version of Oracle HCM and while some parts have an updated user interface, several other modules that we use still look dated (although still work great). At times it can be a bit difficult to find exactly what you are looking for if you do not know where to look, so I think that the flow can also be improved for the program. I have also had some issues with time card templates where I had to delete and re-create my templates because the system had changed which day of the week was the first day and this messed everything up. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle Talent Management Cloud (formerly Taleo):** This is a great set of programs that if used effectively will be very helpful to your business. It empowers your employees to complete necessary tasks and request documents as needed when they want, which helps minimize the work that HR and accounting need to do, and it also helps you find out very valuable insights into your company demographics. **What problems is Oracle Talent Management Cloud (formerly Taleo) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Oracle HCM solves numerous business problems for us. The employees handle all of their HR related needs, as well as several related to payroll, through Oracle HCM. Furthermore, HR and the accounting department are now able to run valuable analytics based on the data that we collect through Oracle HCM and address any issues that we notice (not enough employees utilizing their benefits, updating necessary data, completing time cards, etc.). ### 17. Post Acquisition i stayed with Oracle on the APAC cloud strategy team before leaving and I now run Certus Solutions Consulting Services (APAC) Myself and my team have delivered more than 105 Taleo implementations and have seen the good the bad and the ugly. As with most configurable cloud products the solution is only as good as the implementation and the training provided to end users. If you are a user of any product don't assume that just because you don't see a function it does not mean that is not there, your own company may have chosen not to utilise a certain feature. Also there is no guarantee that your employer has configured it appropriately. Certainly the most impressive aspects of the solution are: Configuration options are very extensive and can meet the needs of the most challenging companies Ability to automate time consuming repetitive tasks is great Integration capabilities with the connect client tools and web api's are extensive Reporting capabilities are second to none (complex reporting best left to reporting specialists) Integration to third party providers such as digital interviewing, background check and testing partners is extensive with a multitude of providers already with "passport integrations" **What do you dislike about Oracle Talent Management Cloud (formerly Taleo)?** The current user interface is somewhat dated these days but functions exceptionally well. (This is currently being addressed with the ongoing development of Oracle TAP for a great mobile experience and UI enhancements are on the way. Some clients make the process far to convoluted for both candidates and end users resulting in dissatisfaction from both sides. Support levels took a big hit when Oracle acquired Taleo however they have now started assigning dedicated customer success managers to all clients which is proving to be very successful. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle Talent Management Cloud (formerly Taleo):** Ensure the consultant(s) assigned to the project by either Oracle or an Oracle partner have completed a number of implementations. (It makes a huge difference when the implementation partner can truly consult in the domain and are not just techies they should be able to guide you on a path to success and come to the party with best practices) The success of the implementation is only as good as the effort both yourself and your implementation consultant put into it. (That goes for any product) **What problems is Oracle Talent Management Cloud (formerly Taleo) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Primary areas we have seen clients gain benefit are in the following areas: Greatly improved approval times Reduced time to hire Reduced agency cost (this can be dramatic) Streamlining of volume recruitment activities such as call centre and graduate recruitment. It uses Adobe Flash - which is meant for graphics - to display mostly text, as well as receive text input. Why do this, when HTML (doesn't have to be HTML5) does the job much, much better? And it is set to display at 150% the width of the web browser. Yet it still requires improvements in some areas in order to compete with some of its toughest competitors like Workday HCM. Based on my experience, I feel that the product has matured a lot in the last couple of years and meets most client requirements for the following areas: 1. Core HCM 2. Talent Management 3. Compensation Management Oracle is putting a lot of efforts to improve various aspects of the products and has been extremely receptive towards client feedback. Fusion HCM cloud is for real and will just improve with time. So if one is working in the field of Oracle ERP such as eBusiness Suite or PeopleSoft, its about time to take a plunge into the world of Fusion Cloud HCM. **What do you dislike about Oracle Talent Management Cloud (formerly Taleo)?** Some of the key areas where the product is still in its infancy are: 1. Payroll 2. Time and Labor These modules require significant enhancement in order to be successful for large customers. The process is even more difficult for Taleo business edition customers. In the past, we have gotten stock answers that don't answer our question. When Oracle bought Taleo, the expertise of the consultants, etc went down. There are a lot of permissions.
