What do you like best about Oracle MySQL Cloud Service?

The MySQL Could service is very simple to set up and much more easier to learn , compared to the oracle database.

New members could be trained in MySQL quite quickly and it offers an open source alternative with the support of Oracle .

We generally use MYSQL for our smaller databases . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle MySQL Cloud Service?

The major dislike is regarding support. Issues that one may encounter during activities like patching are harder to solve because there is not much literature as compared to other databases . Also , one will need to create a ticket for any issue on the oracle support site itself , and I've not been completely satisfied with the resolution provided by oracle many times . Recommendations to others considering Oracle MySQL Cloud Service:

Would recommend to those looking to reduce costs and move to an open source alternative. However, support is a bit below the mark . I would still recommend something like oracle for your mission critical databases Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle MySQL Cloud Service solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have found Oracle MySQL to be a great low cost open source alternative to proprietary databases . It is cheap , easy to scale and very easy to learn. We have moved many of our databases from oracle to MySQL for the same reasons , and it is a great database technology . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
