What do you like best about Oracle Mobile Hub?

All of the built in 'current-gen' mobile functions: (push notifications, offline sync, location services, etc.). The shared API directory is also very nice when collaborating with teammates on deciding on a standard API to use rather than roping in 100 different 3rd party ones. What do you dislike about Oracle Mobile Hub?

Sometimes I get lost in the settings dialogues - but otherwise very modern and clean looking AI for getting around to different applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle Mobile Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

While working in my previous position at Cerner Corporation I was able to utilize OMH on a day to day basis to manage different application development projects on my team by checking the analytics pages and seeing different user's individual contributions to projects. Also, using the analytics API to track what our users are doing inside of our applications and where bottlenecks might exist. Example: When a user might log a workout but only fill out some of the required information about the workout and not everything - what fields are most commonly filled out?

In addition, Mobile Hub offers a cloud storage which is great for storing all of the file used in developing our applications. This is convenient in the fact we don't have to use another 3rd party cloud service or store everything locally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Mobile Hub?

Oracle is more than just a Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS) solution. It is a complete eco-system for implementing mobile applications, covering typical standard features, like Notification Management, Offline Data Synchronization or Location-based Services.

In addition, MCS provides capabilities for creating Mobile applications using Oracle Mobile Application Framework (MAF). In addition, you can use Oracle Mobile Accelerator (MAX), which is a no-code development platform to create, test, and publish sophisticated cross-platform mobile apps.

Through connectors, MCS can easily be connected to backend services (REST, SOAP, ICS). These connectors make the usage of backend services in Custom APIs much easier since in the connector configuration, things like security can simply be declared without the need for writing any code for such things in your custom APIs. What do you dislike about Oracle Mobile Hub?

it would be good to include further security mechanisms, e.g., allowing authentication via client certificates, which is currently not supported Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Oracle Mobile Hub:

Oracle MCS enables us to focus on most important part, when doing Mobile Backend development: implementing the needed business logic, which brings value to our customers. Technical details, like the interaction with Push Notification Services from Apple or Google are abstracted through MCS; we as developers just need to declare and configure things, but the "magic" is handled by the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle Mobile Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

When positioning Oracle MCS, our main focus is to implement non-existing Single-Purpose APIs needed by new Mobile apps and to apply basic security mechanisms (Authentication and Authorisation) to the exposed Mobile backends. In addition, we use MCS to depict more advanced Mobile Use cases like the implementation of location-aware services or the management of push notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
