This means that manipulating the data utilizes the user-friendly star schema and that integrating new users, new products and new cubes is very easy. **What do you dislike about Oracle Essbase?** Because of the cube system, drilling into order line level detail is virtual impossible without expensive data warehouse storage. Even then, a line level order would not work in essbase reporting. Therefore you would still need an SSRS reporting system to get order level information in a reporting form. **What problems is Oracle Essbase solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have used Essbase successfully to manage our commissions reporting. Since this is not line level detail, the confidentiality associated with commissions has become nonexistent. We can manage our reporting needs for commissions while keeping the actual detailed payments concealed.
